When I bought it was $299 and relative to it's competition was a steal. I really wanted to like this. Pros: - Nice packaging and presentation. - Good form factor - Very basic UI Cons: - Extremely slow wired throughput. I had to put this into bridged mode from about a week into my experience as I was only getting about 300mbps on my wired connection. I put an old R7000 in front of this to use as the router and my throughput went up to 850-900mbps on the same other equipment. - Poor wifi performance. I ended up having to wire each of the nodes in on gigabit and even at that the nodes still lose connectivity. I am sitting right next to a node and it has a red light while plugged in. - Very basic UI. Some slightly advanced features are missing. Overall my experience has been quite poor. We have too frequent drops and I really only use this as wireless access points while leaving the heavy lifting to a device which is nearly 10 years old. I would definitely not recommend this to anybody and will be very hard pressed to buy Linksys again. I should have returned this product when I first started having issues but that is a failure on my part.

Not a lot of difference over the single Wave from Spectrum. 3 units in a 2550 sqft 2 story house should have unbelievable coverage. I had to move the unit from the basement back to the main level to cover the family room. If I want a 4th unit it would be half the cost of the 3 pack.

The Velop system should be able to provide optimal performance once it has been configured. You can use the Channel Finder on the Linksys app to help optimize the Velop system's network. Also, make sure that it's firmware is up to date. For assistance, please send us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact details and the link to this review so we can have our Escalation Engineers provide further isolation.
