The default is to broadcast a single network that is both 2.4 and 5 GHz. However, some of the older IoT only work on 2.4 and cannot distinguish the 2.4 in 2.4 & 5 GHz combined signal. Therefore I had to modify the settings to broadcast the 2.4 and 5 GHz separately. Once I made that change I noticed a drop in the quality of the signal. In fact, my TV would buffer and the wifi and the iPhones would drop. Also this is only wifi 5 so it's old technology. I decided the setup wouldn't work so I retuned it and purchased a Netgear Nighthawk. It's signal point router but has a large coverage zone. Also it's wifi 6.

One of the nodes was DOA. Linksys customer service couldn't send me just one white node.. only a black one which I thought was ridicules. Best Buy was great and I returned for a Netgear Orbi
