Very painful to set up! It says a 4000sq ft house? I have right under a 4000sq ft house, & the only way this would work is in a one story with no walls!

I deal with tech all the time and have always been frustrated with available routers and the difficulty in setting up. I decided to take a chance on Velop and wow - I was completely set up in what felt like 15 mins, but I'm sure it was likely 30 mins. So easy - especially adding towers to extend the signal. My kids went crazy because suddenly the entire house was red hot in wifi!! Wooohoooo!! Thank you Linksys!!

Setup was easy. Used for a few days and my internet was just so slow and my devices were always buffering. Switched it for the netgear orbi and love it.

Ok, prior to this Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi system, we had the Linksys EA9500 and I didn't think any router could do any better. Well, the Linksys Velop whole home system is a best as it can get now. Very easy set up using the Linksys app on your smart phone. My system came with 3 towers. One for the living room, Master bedroom and guest bedroom. The first one connects to your modem/router and then each of the others connect wirelessly and plug into wall outlets. Takes about 10 minutes for each tower to connect using the Linksys app on your phone. I have 1 desktop, a gaming computer, 3 laptops, 2 tablets, 3 cellphones and 3 Rokus connected. The Rokus stream wonderfully with no buffering whatsoever. Laptops and desktop move from page to page without slagging or the dreadful wheel turning. You can also purchase and add additional towers if you have a very large home. I'm so happy that I have this Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi system! Highly recommend!

dont waste your money! called the manufacturer. 6 HOURS!!! on the phone many different people and then after all that.. 1 bar of internet. everything lags!!

Hooked it up and followed exact instructions. Called customer service twice. Foreign tech barely spoke English. Couldn’t help me. Took it back.

It requires a smart phone which luckily my son has but I am still holding out. Once you open it the only instruction are to get the app and follow the instructions on your smart phone. It took about an hour to set up all 3 nodes. The first one had a glitch that required us to start over and re boot our cable modem. Once we did that it connected after a few minutes. You can plug 2 wired ethernet items into each node. I plugged the cable modem into the #1 node as required which only left one plug open. I plugged my Vonage unit and my Samsung TV into the #2 node. and my upstairs Samsung TV and Compute Stick into the #3 node. You can make 3 items a "PRIORITY" connection that gets the fastest speeds. We messed around with those and noticed a big difference between a priority connection and a non priority connection. With high priority i could connect to the Internet at about 50 MBPS and without priority it was about 20 to 25, So it did make a big difference. We are still messing with it and trying out different settings. I kind of expected the outside range to improve but it did not seem to increase the outside range at all, But the inside speeds are all ROCK SOLID CONNECTION and FAST! So take these all into consideration when spending this much on it. Hopefully there will be updates to the firmware in the future ti increase the outside range, Otherwise IT WORKS GREAT!!!

This is by far the easiest router of wifi mesh system that I've ever had to set up! Just download the linksys app on my phone, opened it, and it walked me through the process with ease. The app configured all the IP addresses automatically as well as let me add 2 more Velop units with my initial one. The range of this system by far is the best feature. You can set up one Velop as your main unit next to your modem, and put up to 2 more units elsewhere in your house. I've had a terrible dead spot in my house prior to purchasing the Velop system but now I'm reading my full internet speed at the 5G band in the same spot while streaming Amazon video in 4K. The addition units really sold it for me bc i was able to set up one Velop on the top floor, one on the bottom floor, and one on the opposite side of the house where I stream tv in 4K. I've never had any problems with streaming since using this configuration and installing this system.

I got this as a clearance item. It did not come with its original chargers and did not work well.

Simply amazing WiFi performance from Velop! My home is old and large, but even a single Velop node has impressive range, let alone the whole home coverage I get with multiple nodes. The speed is actually faster than what I pay Comcast for too! My WiFi speeds are roughly 20mbps above my speed plan! Setup was very simple too, thanks to the easy to use app. Couldn't be more pleased so far.

One node stoped working and unable to be Reset! Read on line reviews and is a common problem. Customer service no help at all!

I was an early adopter of home mesh systems with a GoFundMe buyer of a LUMA WiFI system. After using it for several years, and having probably every single one of my original units go bad, I decided to try a new system. After reading the reviews, I went with this product. So far, not disappointed with ease of setup and use. Speed and coverage are excellent, I have a 3 story home (including basement) and have situated nodes on each floor. No areas have loss of coverage as far as I can tell. I may purchase one more tower separately to see if I can add on to performance. I have a Gigabit outside fiber line and a combo of hardwire and many wifi devices. So far no hiccups. The APP is far richer in features than Luma and I've just started looking at it. Word of advice is to restart your modem before installing your first tower.

I already had a three pack but was having trouble connecting in a large house. Bought this thinking it would take care of the issue but it’s only made it worse.

My internet 400/400,Like 30feet away from the router, 2mbps on YouTube, 20 feet, laggin, 10 feet, nice speed, no buffing at all, recommend orbi AX4000

Slowest speed ever............. after installing (which was very easy) WiFi was slower than before.

Once the devices are set up and working, it's an OK product. The big disadvantage for me was the systems incompatibility with SIP (VOIP) phone systems. Still working on a fix.

If you are looking to eliminate dead zones and you have a large home, you need this product. The Linksys Velop Whole Home Wi-Fi system is more than capable of handling your basic and advanced wifi needs. The setup is very simple and can take as little as 15 minutes if you follow the directions provided in the Linksys app. The Velop system gives you the option of connecting directly to a modem or a modem/router combo to satisfy the needs of every customer. The units themselves look great and are powered by connecting them to a standard wall outlet. They also have Lan/Wan ports on the bottom of each unit to connect your laptop, console, or pc directly with an ethernet cable for a hard wired connection. This Velop system helped eliminate dead zones in the master bedroom that would previously constantly drop connection and made it hard to stream HD videos and simply browse the internet. If you're plagued with constant drop in connection then this is the perfect unit for you. You can also customize the settings through the Linksys app and add devices to your priority list. You can also add parental controls and check which devices are connected to your network. If you're connected to your modem/router combo then you can configure your port forwarding directly from your app to avoid double nat restrictions which make online gaming difficult. This system is complete and I highly recommend it.

I have used these in 2 houses and they worked great in both. I have the 3 node set, and I recommend getting all three just for the added coverage. My only suggestion for the setup instructions is that it should tell you to have bluetooth turned on. I had a little trouble setting up at my new house because I didn't have bluetooth turned on. Once I did that setup was a breeze.

Stats: 4900 sq. Ft Ranch which includes finished basement. The location of the main node is in the basement. I am very familiar with Mesh systems having owned a Luma system for a year. The luma system took 4 nodes to cover the same area. While the luma gave me increased speed over the standard router with extenders, the Linksys Velop system was 3X faster than the luma system. Close to the main node I am getting 350mbps download and 23.4 mbps upload speed. Upstairs at the far end of the house I am getting 190mbps download and 23 mbps upload speed. I pay for 300mbps download and 23 mbps. In my opinion this the best mesh system on the market. /the fact that it is made by Linksys is even better. The setup was easy using the Linksys app. Just be patient and follow the instructions. At the end of the set up it will do a firmware update.
