Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

Went to BB w/ my mind made up on a router and ended up walking out with this. I paid about $50 more than I wanted but the employee really discussed the details of this router, especially since he owned it himself. The thing is amazing. Easy set up and the remote node gets the signal out into my yard. Which was one of my main points in looking at a new router. Love this thing and highly recommend it.

Picked these up for less than a previously purchased mesh system that was returned. Coverage is the best I have experienced in my 2 story home. Provided coverage and signal strength to operate my my Ring Camera System located in multiple outside locations around the house. Great product!

Linksys mesh system is great for my home (over 2200 square feet). Easy to install, these were added as additional nodes to a 3 node system for a total of 6. Some sites indicate you cannot add more than 3; however, all 6 function well and maintain strong signals. App is a great feature to manage your network outside of your cable provider.

Easy setup and (so far) stable connectivity

Work from home and remote schooling rendered my existing modem/router inadequate for the demands placed upon it. I initially tried a single WiFi range extender, but that product was difficult to set up and could not maintain a reliable connection. I was skeptical of this Linksys system as setup relied entirely on a mobile app, but to my surprise it was completely painless. From start to scratch, everything was up and running in about 30 minutes. I much prefer the look of these devices versus the white discs offered by other brands. My wife and I can now work on complete opposite sides of the house and my child no longer gets disconnected from their online classes. Hopefully the hardware holds up and Linksys continues to provide stable, reliable firmware updates.

    Best Mesh System I've Tried

At my home, I have tried many different types of mesh systems. The Netgear Orbi, the Eero, and now the Linksys Velop.. Lets just say I think we have a winner. I now have 6 of these satellites covering my home and garage and everything is working as intended. The range is good, but on the bottom of these are two ethernet ports and unfortunately with my setup here in my home I could use more.. Granted I have a switch plugged into two of them but it's the locations that I need the ethernet ports. This is why I turned around and bought the original 3 and another set of 3 to add to my system. I did go into the web interface and separate out the two networks. 1 for the 5GHz network and another for the 2.4.. One thing I did notice about these is that it seems like my devices wanted to just be on the 2.4 instead of the 5.. well now I have these separated out and I can control which one I connect to manually. Anyway, great buy, very happy and my speeds stay fast. That was the problem with the Orbi and the Eero... The one plugged into the cable modem could get my 400 Mbps but when connected to the wifi I would only get 20 - 100 Mbps.. The Velop, I connect and get the full 400 Mbps almost all the time.. if I am not getting 400 then I am getting around 300 in my speed tests.. but with Hulu and Netflix running, I can understand why, Anyway, purchases these and you shouldn't go wrong.

Excellent setup process- the easiest of any of the systems I've used. The bluetooth connection makes it VERY simple to set up and the individual units are very powerful.

The system works as well as advertised. You need to download the linksys app and it walks your through where to place each router and signal strength from the location.

A big expense, but I think worth it. I replaced Linksys WRT1900ACS dual band, which was getting unstable (more devices added). I believe this Velop tri band mesh handles the increased number of devices now added to my wifi. It's easy to set up and connect. I've had it for a month, and everything is running well so far. There is occasional no internet, but I think it's due to another source (perhaps a wifi adapter, which has had problems in the past), because wifi shows connected (but no internet). So, I disconnect the wifi and reconnect it, and everything is back to normal with internet. Very easy. Like the extra port on the bottom and cable thread guide. The power plug in is large, so I did get a new bigger power surge power strip to provide more plug-in outlet space. The main cube is connected directly in my main home communications box ethernet port and power in a downstairs utility room. The second cube is plugged into just a power strip outlet at my desk in an upstairs room. The connection process showed it was in a good location for wireless communication. So, it works good in an upstairs and downstairs situation. This was a good investment for me.

I upgraded from a google wifi 1st gen mesh setup to this. The Tri-band is really helpful in making sure you get the fastest speeds. Where before I had to use 3 google mesh devices, I am now able to cover the area needed with just two of these devices. The App makes setup very simple, as long as you have a smartphone you should have no issues.

I did my research and a Best Buy Representative helped me select this setup based on my home size. I must say I was a little hesitant but I’ve used Linksys products in the past and they’ve always performed well. I had a dead spot in my home (home office) that was just about 40 feet from the router on the same floor but no signal to my PC. Once I connected a tower on my desk and connected the RJ45 wired connection to my PC, I began getting my high speed WiFi. Wirelessly it wasn’t as fast as I expected with a gigabit connection but it was a significant improvement over what I had prior to setting up the three nodes, two on the troubled floor and one on the top level. I’ll probably buy two more to complete my home. I have a nearly fully automated home so this setup helps extend the range for all my wireless devices. So far it’s working great and I recommend it to anyone that has a lot of wireless devices in their home.

I looked for ways to have better internet and I came across an article that said that paying more was not the solution but applying these satellites range extensions were the solution. I tried a small one it was ok until my daughter started taking classes online. That's when I decided to give these a shot, very expensive but they actually work.

I live in a rural area in Indiana and recently was able to get a FIOS line run to my house. Before this my internet was the horrible copper 3 mgb/sec speed from 1999. Now our house is pretty wide and there are several walls to cut through. Our prior router, though strong, couldn't push more than 10 mgb/sec into our basement despite getting speeds of 300 mgb/sec right next to the router. A helpful sales associate at the store explained mesh wifi to me and after some research I ended up getting a total of 5 Linksys hubs for our 4500 square foot house. Now I get 200 mgb/sec at my PS4 and Xbox which is the furthest point in my house from where the modem is placed. For large houses, this type of system is a must. I chose this one because of the coverage area and reviews. The setup was very easy, only took about 15 minutes to load them all up and get them placed. This one is top end with very strong coverage which explains the high price marker. Since we plan to stay in this large house for a few decades I consider it a worthwhile investment.

I had the stock router from optimum online and it didn’t have the range I was looking for. With this router I’m able to go anywhere on my property and the internet speeds seem much faster. I have at least 10 devices that are connected to the internet and I’m able to stream in 4k on multiple devices at the same time with little to no problem

I was sitting at home thinking man I need some new WiFi, when suddenly it came to me “Best Buy can help”. So I put on my coat and grabbed my ten speed and pedaled over. I walked in and yelled I need some WiFi. And a friendly electronic superhero approached me and said “I can help you with your WiFi needs”. I was like “my Man”. So he found my some mighty fine WiFi towers to give my home the complete WiFi experience. Now if I want to choose to “drop the kids at the pool” in any bathroom in my house I can keep up on my espn sport needs while doing so. Thank you Best Buy for making my WiFi your prority.

Had to contact Linkesys and purchase an additional larger base unit in order for the system to work for me because of the large coverage area. after working with Linksys tech these units are working with the base unit and I'm getting better coverage than originally planned
