Purchased the Velop Tri band because our internet at the house was running extremely slow. Went from only getting 35-70 MBS download speed to over 150-175 MBS. Extremely happy with our purchase and would gladly do it again. Thanks Kerry for the amazing help in our purchase. Only person we talk to when we go in the store every time.

Major Speed Improvement & Easy Set Up

Our home is stucco--which means there is metal mesh in all the exterior walls. To add to the complexiity, our house is U-shaped--so there are usually at least 2 exterior walls our Wifi must penetrate. Our Wifi reception was pathetic. Even though our Internet service was providing 100mbps, we often got no more than 10mbps in other rooms. We had never been able to stream a movie without buffering! After installing the Velop Whole Home Wifi system, with its enhanced strength and tri-band configuration, we immediately began receiving almost the FULL strength of our ISP via Wifi in all rooms of our 3500 s.f. home! It's a miracle! To add to the positive experience, the system was incredibly easy and fast to set up. We couldn't be more pleased!

My internet provider attempted to provide my Wifi throughout my house, but failed miserably. So off to the best third party solutions...The Linksys Velop has been the answer. Not only was it super simple to set up, but it has worked flawlessly since I set it up. My house is completely covered in Wifi! I tried a competitor product and after a week it stopped working and their tech support was horrible. So after returned that failed product I turned to Linksys. In reality I should have tried them first. I have always had great luck with Linksys products and they have just always worked. Again a hti for them. It is a bit expensive, but everyone in my house is on Wifi at the same time and we notice no lag or degradation in signal. so, again...Fantastic.

This has worked very well and has kept a stable connection. I tried a different system before purchasing this one and my wifi dropped pretty often. Not on this one. The ethernet connection is pretty fast and stable too. I have a 3 level home and needed this for my basement. I put 2 on each end of the main level and 1 centered in the basement. I have about 30 devices connected and have no issues. Even outside security cameras keep a stable connection. It would have been nice to have one more of these for a stronger connection upstairs. It works, but not as strong of a connection everywhere else in the home.

I had purchased Luma WiFi system form Best Buy. As I added more wireless devices Luma had a hard time keeping up. This system was recommended to replace my Luma system. So far so good up load and down load speed has Imorovwd. The downside of this system is that it is hard to filter internet content coming into the home. Linksys you can block certain websights only and it has to be done on each device that connects to your system. Luma is was easier you could block certain level of content system wide. One last thing you want to make sure you have the correct size system you can not just go to Best Buy and pick up a single linksys you have to order that direct from linksys. Over all a good product.

Bought this to replace current WiFi as signal degraded in various areas of the home. This system exceeds my expectations! In worst area of house, we had download speed of 4Mbps. Now, same area is pulling 80Mbps. Highly recommend this system if you’re considering upgrading to WiFi mesh! I’m tech savvy, but I did have tech support walk me through setup as I wasn’t completely sure how to do it correctly. I would have eventually figured it out, but I’m glad I used their really great support! So glad I upgraded as it’s made the service in our house terrific.

These really work. I was skeptical. I had to get someone techy to install and they were pricey at Best Buy but I needed them ASAP- otherwise I would have bought elsewhere.

Provides great coverage for my two story home (w/ basement) and fast speeds. Install was pretty easy, too, although there were a couple of minor glitches. Fortunately the app easily picked up where it left off.

Amazing signal strength, only downside was losing a connection to parent node. Once an update was applied and reset the the router everything’s worked great. Haven’t had any problems since.

Using six nodes to provide WiFi coverage in a old building with thick walls that other traditional commercial WiFi options were not covering. My only complaint is that I would like to put them in bridge mode behind a wired router, but still have them provide a guest network. Since this is not possible, in order to get the five additional nodes behind the base node, I had to put the base node in front of some of the wired users which moved them to the Velop NATTed network and then change some of their IP settings. Otherwise working great providing a stronger and more reliable WiFi network similar to an enterprise experience for the users.

    Linksys - Velop Tri Band

Linksys - Velop Tri Band Mesh Towers - 2 pack. Even though, it took days and numerous hours with Tech Support via Linksys, with a next tier support person, I rate the complete system with the Tri Band Mesh Towers and Linksys Tri Band Mesh Router as excellent. The towers came with 3 year old software installed, that was impossible to update, except via the Tech Support lady person in the Philippines, second tier. She was excellent. The first three tech support persons, completely did NOT know what they were doing. No exaggeration. The first tech support person, first level, actually stated the towers were defective and was going to replace them. I repeatedly advised the tech support person the towers were NOT defective, but a software problem. After the third tech support person, that did not know what she was doing, in any way whatsoever, I insisted to talk to a supervisor. I was then transferred to next tier tech support . A Philipina Tech Support Person answered, that completely did know what she was doing and had the skills to do so. She completely updated the Mesh towers and set up the towers so they would function as designed. It was a difficult task. After setup, the towers have been functioning perfectly. They are self healing as advertised, and function exactly as designed. The transmission is very long distance, and all cameras and systems connect without an ongoing problem. Prior I had what was supposed to be the best TP Link Routers and their best rated extenders, that were absolute expensive junk. TP Link would drop connections repeatedly and never ever would keep a connection once completed. Additionally TP Link had a very weak WiFi transmission signal that would not even come close to its rated distance. I wasted, all total way over $700 for TP Link worthless junk. Although Links was a problem, with initial set up, and, towers sold with 3 year old software, the end result was very worth the initial problems. My suggestion, for anyone purchasing Links Mesh system Tri Band is to contact Links System Second Tier Support and ask, if possible for the Filipina Tech Support Person that knows what she is doing. She is very worth the effort, as the results are excellent. I was very satisfied with the Links Mesh Tri Band system with the Mesh Tri Band Router, and purchased the exact same system for my Daughter, for her very nice large house, so it will improve her Security Systems and Surveillance Systems for her security with significant reliability. There are additional excellent aspects to the software. Due to this short forum, I will skip by them. A final note, the four items I connected to date had an option of 5 ghz. Links chose 5 ghz on its own. Actually connected the highest speed by links own setup, with the additional security systems I added. I have much more to add. At this juncture, it definitely appears all will continue in an excellent manner. I have only had this for a few weeks. However, I have not found any fault, other than initial setup. I am trusting the system with my Daughter's security, in regards to the excellent WiFi, results I have had to date. In summary overall, my opinion is, definitely excellent, and far exceeding all other brands I have tried over many years. I only purchase from Best Buy, when an item is available, as they stand behind the products they sell.

I suffered for two years with an Xfinity gateway. There were problems with different devices not playing nice with the gateway, and it didn't help that my plaster and brick house is oddly shaped such that the wifi signal didn't reach half the house. I finally pulled the trigger and put in my own setup. Pairing the Velop with a Arris surfboard docsis 3.0, I'm now getting solid, consistent wifi across the whole house and most of the front and back yards. With a 250GB plan I'm pulling 100mbps anywhere in the house with 17-20 devices running at any given time. Setup was super easy with only a small issue creating a linksys account that was quickly fixed - getting all 3 pods going took about 15 min.

It took 20 minutes to set up all 3 modules. We're on 3 acres, and I have reception everywhere. Using arlo cameras, good reception, with one of them 50 yards away. A very good product.
