Good wi-fi extension
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a pretty good system and it does work to extend your home wi-fi signal well. However, I don't agree with their squarefootage estimates. I have a 2story house that's about 2500 sq ft with router downstairs in a corner and a 2 node system (1 required to be plugged into router) wasn't enough range to reach my movie room upstairs at opposite end of house. I recommend the 3 pack over the 2 pack if you are in a similar size dwelling. I actually now have 5 nodes and my wifi is equally strong (250+ mbps) all over the house. Its worth the big cost if you want the performance

Whole home wifi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a cable technician that picked up some side work for a family after a high speed internet install. Very fast connection, but nowhere near enough range. After returning a very expensive high powered router that didn't do the trick, I suggested we try the mesh network. They are enjoying whole home wifi and couldn't be happier. I check back in with them occasionally and it's still working flawlessly. It supports their stay-at- home offices that involves a lot of teleconferencing. Best news is they can always get some extra pods if they want to extend coverage.

Great solution for homes with dead Wifi spots
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product does exactly as it says! It takes your existing WIFI signal and not only makes it stronger but actually improves speeds. Most importantly, it is terribly simple to set up.

Upgraded my old AirPort network by Apple
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been over ten years since I've upgraded my Apple AirPort network in my home. I was hesitant at first but I was starting to see dips in connection. I looked into new WiFi 5 and 6 systems and found the Linksys - Velop AC 2200. I have to say that set up was far easier than I thought it would be (comparing to Apple products) and the network thus far has supported our over 20 WiFi enabled products in our home. This product is a good replacement and provides great connection on a Spectrum service line.

Improved Wi-Fi connectivity on 2nd floor
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 3,200 sq. ft. 2-story home. We kept having problems with our laptops and iPads dropping the connection on the second floor. I put the master unit on the first floor connected to the router. The second unit went upstairs at the top of the stairs and the third unit went upstairs at the far end of the home. All problems have been corrected. I realize there are new Wi-Fi 6 units, but it will be many years before we have that option where we lived so I saved some money not getting the newer units. That might be different for your needs.

Good when it works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the title says, when it works then it is good. The location of my modem is on one side of the house and can’t be moved. So the other side of the house which has a lot of walls between it creates quite a barrier for the signal to get through. So this allows the signal to be just as strong and consistent. Having the second node with ports out allows me to have other items centralized like my Arlo camera base as well. There’s some other security features on there that I don’t really use that some might find useful. Now for the cons... I found that my units were literally placed about 6 inches too far from each other. It used to drop the signal every few days and I would I have to reset the units. I have since then moved it from the back of table it was sitting on to the front and the dropping problem has seem to go away for the most part. It still has the occasional drop. Now when it drops it typically takes about 3 tries of unplugging and resetting the units before it finally comes together. Quite frustrating! Secondly, you would think the device trying to connect with the WiFi will choose the stronger node, but it seems the device will attempt to connect to the main node first. I have quite a few devices that are closer to the second node But still connect to the main node. This wouldn’t be a problem but sometimes it seems to then have a lower quality on videos, because the signal isn’t as strong. Would be nice to have an option for devices that don’t move to connect to be permanently on the closer node... You also can’t decide what frequency your device is going to use. With all that said if I hadn’t spent so much on this unit, I would probably look at getting a different brand.

Posted .Hi Jpk08,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. There could be multiple factors that is causing the intermittent connection from the Velop system. Also, your devices should connect to the closes Velop node since this is the intended function of the mesh system.

Best and fastest router on the market!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced the slow, troublesome Comcast router with this superb Velop system and it's like night and day. This system maintains high speeds throughout my three-story house wirelessly with no issues whatsoever. I have it connected to over 20 devices including three 4K TVs and gaming consoles and it works very smooth and super fast. My whole family noticed the difference in speed and they love it. I debated on spending this kind of money on a router but after I saw the difference it makes, I know it's money well spent. If you truly need high speed and hate buffering, this is the one to go with, you will NOT be disappointed!

Amazed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given the price, I was extremely skeptical it would work given our very rural location. I was amazed when it did! We have amazing wifi connectivity and speed in all 4 floors of our 5,000 sq. foot home. Additionally, connectivity is great throughout our grounds. Definitely worth the $$

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic router. We live in a 5,000sqft house and get full bars in every room. The only con, besides the price, is the complete lack of control and customization that I'm used to, though that's a pro for someone that "just wants it to work" and that's it.

Awesome coverage, easy setup, killer speeds
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I researched numerous systems and finally decided on the VELOP system. My second choice would have been the Amplifi system, however the Linksys system offers a simplistic app for those who just want to get the system up and running, and advanced features for those who like to adjust the settings. The primary node was up and running side by side with my old access points in a matter of minutes. Installation: I simply replaced my current WIFI/router with the VELOP primary unit. One side to the modem, the other side to my first switch in my house. Ran the VELOP app and it pretty much asked one question and configured the rest. Once the primary unit was up and running, I went into the web interface and adjusted the LAN IP schema to match what I was previously configured for. Afterwards, you simply use the app to add additional nodes while following the prompts. The whole system took about 15-20 minutes to complete. My home network is more complex since I telecommute and have a mini-data center in my office. I have three managed switches and two access points that were hardwired. Speed: I am able to achieve 280Mbps down and 25mbps up on a wired connection. On all nodes, utilizing wireless backhaul I am able to receive 256Mbps down and 25mbps up. Coverage: The VELOP systems coverage is as advertised. I have full power regardless of where I am in my house including outside by the pool. Summary: There are many choices and places you can go to review the systems however, I narrowed our choices down to the VELOP, Amplifi and Orbi system respectively. The VELOP system is extremely flexible for simplistic and advanced configurations. I called and spoke with the Linksys engineers because I was concerned about the wireless backhaul and preferred to have the nodes hardwired. In short, I could have simply plugged them into the switches but wanted to see how they would perform wirelessly; it performs awesome! I have a total of 54 devices on my system, which includes home automation, alarm system, servers, network monitoring systems and servers. The VELOP system nicely identifies what clients are on the system, which node they are connected to, the speed or frequency connected at, and if the device is hardwired, it displays that as well. Other notes: The admin interface is accessible however you have to look for it. It is much quicker and easier to set up port forwarding and tweak advance settings from there. The firewall on the VELOP system is much better than in previous products and for those who have a setup like mine and access servers from within, VELOP supports NAT redirection OR you can filter it. This is helpful for people with cameras and want to access them by name rather than internal IP.
