Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 5 System's ease of use, coverage, and setup, frequently citing its simple installation and strong signal. Many also praise the system's range and performance, reporting consistently reliable connectivity. However, some users experienced connection issues and noted the relatively high price. A limited number of Ethernet ports was also a recurring point of feedback.

Overall, does exactly what it said it would do. Im happy with my purchase. The range may or may not be accurate, but I have a lot of brick obstructions.

I had to spend over an hour on the phone with tech support to get the system up and operating. Since then, it has worked flawlessly. We have several TV's, DTV receivers, tablet PC's, laptops, smart home devices and cellphones connected wirelessly. Never have I noticed any lag or dropouts. 3 units for our 2400 sq. ft. ranch home may have been a little overkill, but coverage is wall-to-wall and extends well into the yard. If not for the number of devices I have sharing the system, I might have gone for a cheaper alternative. But for a tech heavy home, I can't see how the Velop can be beat.

After adding this system at my residence, I’ve noticed my internet has been more consistent on the wireless side of things. My older router used to have issues with dropouts. The Velop system was extremely easy to use and install once you download the app. I used the iOS app and it was a breeze. I bought the 2 pack which was sufficient for the space I have. There are 2 ports on the bottom of the base nodes for connecting other devices. I hooked up a WD NAS to it and the data transfer speeds within the network made my day. I was transferring terabytes moving data from one RAID drive to another. Would buy again.

With three of us working from home and sometimes participating in separate Zooms simultaneously were having a lot of problems with internet speed and what seemed to be outages. Our ISP was able to verify no problem with our line or modem. We switched to this mesh kit and it seemed to solve our problem permanently. We suspect our many HomeKit devices were also helping to overload the single router. These three units seem to divide the load nicely and our internet connection is now much faster and more dependable.

I was very impressed on how easy it was to set up through the app. Simple step by step instructions and great wifi coverage. The nodes are also appealing in any room and blend in with any surrounding. I have many connected devices and so far all connect and perform flawlessly.

By far this system was one of my best home investments. My wifi has never been faster and smoother up here in the Park City area. For a place with a lot of mountains low wifi connectivity this I'd recommend to be in every household. Especially if you have gamers in the house.

the wifi in my house is terrible without these, especially in the basement, kids and friends complaining about it for a while and got sick of hearing it. purchased this and had it installed in no time. with the 3rd tower in a window next to the deck we even get wifi at the burn pit in back yard now as well as pretty far out into the driveway. very satisfied with the performance and the extra tower was worth the money versus the 2 tower system. a couple of friends that complained immediately knew the difference and went out and purchased it themselves!

I just recently trashed my ORBI tri band AC3000. It turned into a very expensive paperweight, and their customer service is appalling. After extensive research I chose this Linksys. So far it’s managed to stay connected without a drop for 48 hours. Which has my old ORBI beat by 46 hours. It seems to be doing well. My home is only 2500 square feet of living but due to fireproofing in the walls a regular router just doesn’t work. I have the Arlo pro 2 cameras and numerous other WiFi devices hooked up and this router has been doing well.

I notice that this product has plenty of great reviews. I was unlucky however. I'd like to qualify my review by stating that it's POSSIBLE I got a lemon. That said, here was my experience: I've owned this product for about 4 days now. Setup was easy. The app is pretty good. User interface is easy on the eyes and simple to navigate. I did however, have devices that would show 'offline' on the app but would actually be receiving wifi. It's the hardware that really gave me problems. When it worked, it worked pretty well. But most of the time, nodes would disconnect. When the nodes were all connected, I would still get lapses in connection, where websites would continue to load and load and load. Device roaming was also poor. My devices would sometimes connect to a node that was farther away. And after moving to an area of my home w/ a stronger node, my devices still might not connect to that better node. I was constantly having to reset nodes and re-pair them. Where I normally might try to troubleshoot a product with customer support, for $500 I expect this product to be flawless out of the box. Unfortunately, this was far from perfect. I'll be returning this product and trying something else.

      Hi Haru,

If the connection is still slow in the wireless of the Linksys WHW0303B, then interference and obstruction may one of the causes of why. You can try power-cycling the nodes and run the channel finder for isolation. We could have our Escalation Engineers assist you further by sending us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review for our reference.

I was having wi-fi signal strength with my router located in the basement of our 2 story abode. After setting up these two Velops, the signal strength is 100% nearly everywhere. One radio is hidden in a basket with fake flowers covering and it measures 94%. Easy setup too!
