Quite possibly the best purchase I made in 2020. I had some issues after I first set the system up but early realized the issues were with my ISP. I got everything ironed out by Spectrum and re-setup my system. It works flawlessly and I have had great speeds on both wired and WiFi. I have talked a few friends into this system and they have all had fantastic results. Thumbs up to Linksys for a great product.

Have a large sq ft but all on single story, so the mesh network really helps and makes things better. I have 150GB/s FiOS, can get that through most of house now. I had an Apple TimeMachine (ac) and two Airport Express to extend, The Velop is much better (I know Apple had a newer product but is no longer investing in wireless routers). The app also works well and allows you to prioritize bandwidth to three devices and disable certain devices during the day (so kids devices at night).

These are great. Especially with HomeKit. It is better then the eero I think because it has a dedicated backhaul to handle more traffic. We have 17-35 connected devices and no lag. Easy set up and works well. Realize if you have a big house you will need more. Anything over 1500-2200 I’d recommend more nodes. Good to know Best Buy price matches so do a bit of research and get a better price.

    Great WiFi extender!

This is the second WiFi extender we have tried. We really neede to make sure our kids would have a good signal since they are attending school virtually right now. We live in a 2-story house which makes it difficult to get a good signal throughout the house! We are very happy with the signal we are receiving. The kids have not had any issues and that’s because we have them separated throughout the house.

I upgraded my home wifi to a mesh system. I had been looking at these for awhile but a half off Black Friday deal was too good to pass on. So far the coverage area is great and the speeds don't drop off too much device to device. The automatic channel setup puts devices on the most appropriate band automatically. Those more tech savvy can adjust a variety of settings easily to maximize your network.

I bought 1 set of these and spent 4 hours setting it up due to a firmware problem. Linksys tech was helpful but spent 1.5 hours on hold. I ended up returning that package and tried another few routers but went back to a new box of 3 Velops. 2nd set was awesome. Very quick setup and fast speeds. The app is slow and advanced settings requires the Web ui. I wish it ran. Efficiency test like eero every night would be nice. But this system can only get better

    It does the job, but...

I live on two floors of an older home, which has two fireplaces and plenty of walls, plaster, furniture etc. In found that a simple router struggles. I tried a Wi-Fi extender, a good one, but still had dead, or weak spots, and drop-offs. Hence, a mesh network. I looked at them all and decided that a tri-band, as opposed to a dual-band was necessary. It was and is. I bought the two tower set, but found that it was not enough, so I purchased a third Velop independently. It worked, giving me the signal I wanted across the two floors, even extending to the first floor. So why only three stars? Well, I bought the hype that two would be plenty - and maybe they would, in an empty hall. But in the real world, two won't do the job. Look, mesh networks are fine, but are as problematic as anything else. I had to really move the third tower around before finding the "sweet spot" where it connected. But when I found it, it popped. Even a mesh network has to be pretty close to one another to push the signal along. Still, it works. All I'm saying is don't expect miracles. They're good, but are no substitute for a good signal boost which doesn't seem to exist. Give it a try. It worked for me, but only after buying a third tower and experimenting some.

It is a great system Consistently provides internet speeds that my ISP sold to me (100 mbps) We have had multiple devices hooked up to the WiFi, with no reduced speeds. I like how it is and play. Only one tower needs to be hooked into the ISP , the real is just plug into the wall and play. I was able to hook up a system similar to my cloud to the network with no problems. Great overall!!
