    Linksys - Velop AC2200 Tri-Band Mesh System

I installed this system to try to overcome weak or limited wi-fi signals in my 3000 sq. ft. home. The original router was installed in the basement on one far end of the house. It worked well, but signal was weak or limited in the farthest parts of the house. When it began to have "issues" with reliability, I decided to try to solve the range issues. I purchased a Linksys router and moved it upstairs as near as possible to the center of the house. This worked better, but connectivity in the basement would come and go. I then purchased a 3-pack of the Velop Mesh routers and placed two of them upstairs and one in the basement. I have to say that the system does work, but has limitations. Devices don't always connect to the nearest access point, and don't always connect at the optimum speed (2.4 versus 5.0). At this point, if I had to do it over, I would have purchased another router for the basement and networked it onto the main router. This would have required running Ethernet from the main to the child, but would have probably been a better solution for my needs.

This system will not disappoint. Simply the most powerful, reliable way to connect all your devices to the Internet. The two routers could not be easier to set up and the extra features such as device prioritization, guest network creation, and device naming are super easy and convenient. I am thrilled about this purchase and think it's absolutely worth the cost despite how expensive it is.

Not Bad but Was Hoping for More

We have some security cameras on the front of house and on the detached garage. Our current WiFi router was in the basement. Was hoping these would extend the signal to get more coverage. While they did achieve better coverage and were very simple to set up, my devices do not seem to connect to the closest node. Since they connect to a node not as close, the signal strength is still not much better than it already was. One bedroom had no signal before buying these nodes and I was able to connect one node in the bedroom and still have a good connection to the other nodes. However it seems to not give the best signal to devices in that particular room. Perhaps something with that spot but I thought having the node would solve this. Overall my coverage is definitely better, I think for the price I was just expecting better coverage. :(

We’ve had no problems with our internet and I really like being able to monitor what my children use. You have the option to make guest accounts, control how much WiFi gets dispersed by prioritizing devices. You can also put a time limit of block certain devices from using internet, by the day and times. Which is useful to monitor how much time my daughter spends on the devices.

Simply put, this product delivers on its claims. I was hesitant to purchase since it seems too good to be true. I was replacing a Netgear R7800 router, our WiFi over the 2000 square foot two-story home has never been better. There is now a strong signal throughout our home,& outside that follows devices in motion. I also really love the app! Were able to turn off centain devices to get the kids attention

I was tired of kids complaining Wi-Fi didn't reach their rooms. Bought 2 towers. Excellent so far. I'm fairly capable on electronics, but not an expert. It was simple to download app on phone and use it to set up. Took me about 1 hour mostly because I had to keep resetting the 2nd tower, which was my fault because I kept walking away during the instruction process. Directions are easy to follow.

I have a home that is over 7000 sq ft. Overall this is a good whole home wifi system. It works better than just a standard router for a large square foot home. The reason that I can't give it five stars is because, sometimes you have to press the reset button if any of the unit display a red light. This has happen to be at least 3 times, once was because of bad weather.

1700 sq ft home with 3 floors where the WiFi doesn’t reach every part with just one router. So this does its job. Could not beat that price for $199. The app is also very user friendly. I thought about getting WiFi 6 mesh WiFi but the price was just way to high. Plus almost all of our devices are not even WiFi 6 compatible.

I live in a large house and my daughter's room had dead spots. I connected these to my Nighthawk router and we've had no issues what-so-ever. The internet is 95/95 and it is working perfectly. You are also able to dedicate your internet to specific devices and you can include a guest login. If the kids get into trouble or I want them to go to sleep I can disconnect their internet via my phone.
