Customers are saying

Customers love the Velop Pro 6E AXE5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System's extensive coverage, ease of setup, and improved performance. Many appreciate the system's strong signal and wide range, making it ideal for larger homes. However, some users have noted that the accompanying app could benefit from improvements and that connectivity issues have been experienced by a few. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments regarding the app and occasional connectivity problems.

The Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System definitely has made an improvement in my overall connectivity in my home. So now if me, my husband and/or my daughter on working on line at home our Wi-Fi can accommodate wherever we are working from in the home!

Has potential but buggy software makes it a meh

I had high hopes for this and when it works it works great. However, the admin software is very fragile and the system exhibits stability issues. The parential controls are almost worthless. It’s hard to manage and there is a bug when you remove a device from the controls it mysteriously is not removed. For instance I removed a device so it wouldn’t shut off internet access but it still did. Other weird things like renaming a node - which the interface allows - bricks the network. I also have to periodically reboot the mesh to maintain stability. Yes, it’s at the latest firmware revision. I just wish I had kept the box so I could return it.

All 3 units bricked, Linksys won't warranty

Probably a decent product with a lousy company backing them making it useless. All started out well, but one morning the wifi was down on all 3 units. After spending hours on the phone with Linksys support and getting bounced back and forth between level 2 support, it was determined that all 3 had failed likely due to a bad firmware update, and needed to be replaced, since they're stuck in a boot-loop and can't even power on. Okay, it happens, so since they're only 7 months old, you'd think they'd quickly agree to replace or repair them, right? Nope. They told me I need to bring them back to Best Buy. Well Best Buy obviously won't and isn't obligated to accept a return after 8 months. But Linksys says they can issue me an RMA for 1 unit but not all 3. Their only option for 3 is to send me back to level 2 support AGAIN to run the same tests and come up with the same conclusion as the last several times. So I finally gave in accepting the RMA for just one unit, figuring I could argue later or take legal action on the other two, but then they told me that since I already disclosed that all 3 units are failing to boot, they cannot replace just one of them. So here I am, 3 weeks later stuck in an endless boot loop and support loop, unable to get functioning access points as guaranteed by the factory warranty. Buying Linksys was a terrible mistake. I should have stuck with TP-Link. It was a brief lapse in judgement that I won't repeat again.

Velop Pro 6e fails at stability

We owned this system for about 3 months and had several periods of hair pulling frustration. The system worked great 90% of the time but the other 10% resulted in us boxing it up and returning it to Best Buy today. I hope anyone that buys this system has a better experience than we did but I would strongly recommend a different system to anyone still shopping. We just bought the eero Pro 6e 3-pack. When I compare the initial setup and functionality of the system and app, it’s not even close…eero is so much better. We just installed it, so I will have to re-evaluate in a few months. Stability is the number 1 expectation for a wifi system and the Linksys Velop Pro 6e fails miserably.

    Worst Set Up Ever

    Posted .

Replacing an old orbi mesh system. Set up the router and satellites and the app “couldn’t reach the cloud” for 2 hours. I saw I had a connection but the product blocks you until you’re validated by the app, which was down. Ridiculous. Called support. Got the first tier who took enough information to sell me a house then told me she couldn’t help me because of the product and had to escalate the set up and that it would be another 20-30 minutes. Completely unacceptable. Returned it.
