Good for the average user but not so much for micro managers such as myself.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When I bought the ACM3200wrt I had done a lot of research to figure out if this router was a good purchase or not. I had seen a lot of reviews stating that the 5GHZ band was shotty at best for some people, I figured this to just be a settings issue and not the device. When I received the item it was great, well built, boots up and reboots very quickly. The App for the router was ok, I mean you could do a lot of things but the firmware in general was missing a lot of useful settings for tweaking the router. The SMB server worked awesome, I was able to wirelessly stream 4 movies from an attached HDD at once without any lag on any device. About day 4 issues started, 5ghz network kept dropping and taking longer and longer to log into. I tried tweaking the settings to see if it was a device issue on my end. Nope shortly after the 2.4ghz network started going out too. I had tried DDWRT, nope, even the DDWRT forums state it is a chipset issue, the Marvel wireless chipset has serious issues and will fail. I had returned this item and bought a TP-Link C5400, going on a week now and this item is great, I will write a review on it in about another week or so, like to give it time to allow any issues to arise.
