I used to have 5x5 signal strength in my kitchen and now I get 3x5 at best and have trouble opening some web pages. Antenna adjustments haven't helped so far but still trying.

I replaced my old Linksys router with this one and have been using for about 2 weeks. The device takes you through step by step procedure to set up the router. I was able to configure this in no time and was able to connect all my 11 devices (Xbox, PS3, Phones, PC, etc.) instantly. The connection and the range are strong and reliable as well. It has both 2.4 and 5 GHz, but I primarily set up 5 GHz for all my devices for faster speed and let the 2.4 GHz be for guests. There is also a guess access option. Router has been amazing and this is my first MIMO router. I can see the difference in the connection and data transfer speeds, no more lagging. This model does look like it is a major improvement over the previous ones. It does come with smartphone app to configure, but I used the Linksys software. Also, there are parental controls, device prioritization and Open source firmware options, which I don’t think I will use in the near future as I do not see the need for it. But it is good to have these options. Overall, this is a great router and I would definitely recommend for anyone who is in the market for new router.

We have a large house, but we did not receive wifi on our back porch, about 20 yards away from the router.(also had glass sliding doors, so it was not going through walls. The opposite end of the house also did not have any wifi coverage. I tested this router around the house for months, and nothing seemed to make it spread coverage better. Tried a wifi extender (from the same brand) and it slowed the main wifi down much more. I ended up getting a google nest with 2 points and now my house has superb wifi throughout. I wish this router was still returnable.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After years of using Linksys routers, I switched over to an Apple Time Capsule to consolidate a backup drive with a high-speed router. I never felt like the Time Capsule could penetrate through my house to deliver a reliable WiFi connection throughout my home. After two years, the Time Capsule died and I needed to get a new router. After researching various options, I decided to go back to Linksys with the AC 3200 model. After unboxing the router, I realized this was a more significant device than my previous Linksys routers. Setup was super-simple and I was up and running in minutes. I immediately connected several devices and went to Speedtest.net to see what type of speed I was getting throughout my home. I was amazed to see over 150 Mbps via my Comcast network. I had never seen anything so fast on my old Time Capsule. I've been running the device in full video streaming mode after binge-watching on Netflix over the past week. All of the movies I streamed didn't miss a beat on multiple devices. I highly-recommend the Linksys 3200. I am back on team Linksys for good!
