    old vs newer

The older style Jitterbug setup was better for elderly people. Larger buttons, simpler operation. The adage of keep it simple is accurate for the elderly who may not see well or have arthritis in their hands.

Setup is horrid. Phone menu choices don’t work and when I finally got to someone they couldn’t hear me. Hopefully the phone works better. Finally got someone and they had to transfer me. But there phone wasn’t working. Finally got someone. Slow process. Hopefully the phone works better

    Hated to return it

It was originally for my mom. She don’t like the smartphones. Which is ok but her flip phones just ain’t making the cut…. Sorry MOM . I had to return it but it is a pretty nice phone . Comes with a stand, which I thought was pretty cool. It also has an emergency button. The price was to good to be true.

So far so good. I am receiving a lot of texts from which I don't know the sender, but I am blocking them.

Purchased for my parents and took it back, they prefer 20th century items, never activated it so can't really comment on quality, camera, and battery life.

I'm a new customer, but so far no complaints. I appreciate the size of the numbers on this phone. So much easier to read and no incorrect numbers pressed because of my finger size. The red is a beautiful color too!

    Too complex for aging grandmother

Got this for my 88 year old grandmother, and she still can’t figure it out. It seems very simple. But wish it had an option to place numbers on speed dial or customize the order of the menu screen to simplify it.

Not as simple as it could be

I bought this phone for my 90 year old aunt. It is easy for her to open to answer and close to hang up. The keypad could be a little bigger but if she is careful, she can push buttons to make a call. Seniors don't need all the bells and whistles, it gets too confusing for her Also, she has difficulty finding the correct place to hold the phone so she can hear and be heard. The volume controls need to be visible and marked

Negotiating the screen takes some getting used to.

I bought the phone for my elderly mother. The connect and disconnect buttons are reversed from her last phone. This made it easy to accidentally disconnect when trying to answer. She is unfamiliar with computers and it was hard for her to get used to negotiating the drop down menue. The more she used it, the easier it became to use.

    Jitterbug2 Not Senior Friendly

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Jitterbug2 is NOT Senior User Friendly as advertised. I'm sure the energency button feature is good for saving lives, but the phone itself is too small for elderly. It reminds me of the old flip phones with a red button for emergencies. My dad cant call out on it because the screen is so small and contacts are hard to locate. He receives calls alright, but the volume level should go higher for those that have trouble hearing. The nursing home accidentally washed it and now the screen doesnt work (our mistake). However, since its not water resistant we will need to get a replacement, but it won't be a Jitterbug.

    Great Phone For Seniors

I have been looking for a phone like this for quite awhile, decided to check into BestBuy. This is the phone I have wanted because I have had nothing but grief with the so called smart phone I was issued at the onset of 5G. Ease of operation is exactly what I wanted!

Love this phone - it is the perfect phone for non techies like me - so easy to use and it's cute too! The only problem is I have to charge it every few days or so and I don't use it that often.

    This phone is okay

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've been a lively customer for about 4 and had to replace the phone about five times. The phones are not well made and are expensive for what they are. The the hinge has become flimsy and the front screen is gone out on two separate phones. One phone I had in my pocket with a roll of quarters and somehow it broke the screen. The other two times I dropped it. They need to offer a sturdy case for them with screen protectors. Half the time the Alexa app doesn't work and deleting text messages is a pain. You have to do it one at a time. Overall the phone is not difficult to use

Like the size of the phone. Easy to answer and hang up. Trouble with the volume being on the side. Hard to keep the volume up for older people. Hard for them to set up. My sister wanted something simple, but once you have an iPhone, it is hard to go back.
