My husband who does not want to mess with anything new and does not like especially different phones, loves this one. As his wife I am shocked. He runs errands and calls me at home more than is necessary. He also loves the color. He caught on very quickly on the s rolling buttons.

    Great for Seniors

I found it easy to read the instructions on using the phone. Not complicated to use. One thing that is also great is the battery does not run down fast like most cell phones. Easy to find since it is red. Knowing I have the emergency button I hope I never have to use.

Phone will not turn off. You can’t hang up a phone call. Half the time it won’t let you make a phone call. Some times the volume works sometimes it doesn’t and have only had the phone a week

You only get 8 speed dial numbers...#2 thru #9...if you want more than 8 people set up for speed dial, this phone is not for you.

Too many steps to call someone.

I have one problem with this phone. My mother's eyesite is poor an her short term memory is almost non existent. There are too many steps to make a call. Open phone to menu, arrow down 2 times, press OK for contacts, arrow to person, OK shows number, OK shows question to dial call, OK then dials. That is too much for her to remember since her eyesite is bad.

Not Good for Visuslly Impaired Arthritic Seniors

    Posted .

I need a simple cell phone for my visually impaired 95 year old mom. All she wants is something she can call out or receive calls. The key pad is still way too small for her to see and is too difficult to dial numbers with arthritic fingers. I’m not sure why but the phone will just stop working for no reason and the only way to fix it is to turn it off and back on daily - sometimes several times a day. This should not be advertised as a phone for seniors - it’s no better than any other flip phone. Save your money and buy a cheap trac phone.

After finally giving up on my recently purchased phone, I took a look at the Jitter bug, saw how easy the directions seemed, bought one for me and one for my husband and am delighted with them!

ATTENTION - DO NOT USE LIVELY!

Do not trust Lively. Their service is inferior to competitors, and they charge you MORE than you should pay. You will make a costly mistake using Lively.

    Just a basic small phone

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

If all you need is a very basic mobile phone, this will work fine. I only use a mobile phone for outgoing calls (summon help or discuss a pending meeting) -- never expect incoming calls and never text. This replaces my obsolete flip phone and upgrades with a camera. But it lacks the ability to download photos directly to my PC or printer. In my case, I must attach the photo image (with a TEXT caption) and phone it [individually] to a friend with a "smart phone" who then downloads it to a PC and e-mails it back to me as a digital file attachment. So, not worth using as a travel camera. Cheap and very basic, but "good enough" for my needs. I also did NOT enable the health safety function. Not quite that old yet!

I'm a senior who has trouble using a smartphone. I find the Jitterbug flip2 to be much more easy to navigate and the battery life is much .longer. I haven't tried the camera yet
