Easy to use phone needed for a non technical person.

This seems a great phone, just don't buy it at Best Buy. I bought the phone for my 90 year old mother. I was able to complete the entire transaction without her input including, I thought, porting the number she has used for 20 years from my T-Mobile account. Part of the transaction included providing a Pin code to complete the transaction I told the rep I don't have a Pin code and asked if she meant my account pin code and she said yes so I entered it. She said the transaction was fine, gave me temp number for the phone, told us the actual number would appear in 24-48 hours and sent us on our way 48 hours later, the number still had not ported over so I called T-Mobile and found out it's actually a line porting pin code. No error was generated by Best Buy, Lively or T-Mobile so the request to port didn't go through. I am now back in TN and my 90 year old mother in CA will have to take care of this as I am not on her Lively account. We are in danger of losing the only number her family and friends know. Train your people, Best Buy!

Great cell phone big numbers perfect for elderly people

This phone was for my 93 year old mom. Previous phones were confusing for her because she is not computer savvy at all. The Jitterbug is so much easier for her.

Once again, my purchase of my new jitterbug flip phone was a very excellent experience. The sales associate who helped me was more than outstanding and very helpful throughout the process. I couldn't have done the startup of my phone on my own. My first time, He helped me through the whole process and made me feel more confident when it came to use my new phone. Purchased this phone for a 94 year old person because of the ads regarding the ease of use. Buttons are larger and more spread out making it easier to use. But, the sound is on the side where you hold to the phone while speaking so you can accidentally lower the ring volume without realizing it. The ring volume is no louder than the previous phone they used even on max. The various phone information lists such as contacts and missed calls are still confusing for them to locate to call someone. They must go through several steps before dialing.

For my father-in-law. He is still trying to hold on to the old simple days. I think Best Buy now owns Jitterbug and the concept makes sense - but not sure if they are any simpler.

I did not buy a Flip Phone, I bought the Smart 4, I Phone.

My mother converted to the Jitterbug flip phone after she could no longer manage the Jitterbug smartphone. It's been a delight for herto connect again with others.
