Perfect gift for my mother-in-law. Very user friendly for seniors. I reduced one star because it was shipped in a box twice the size of the phone packaging with no packing 'fluff' to keep it from crashing around the box for the whole shipping trip.

The dial buttons are not very responsive, and need to be pressed several times to make a phone call. It's a little more complicated than my previous Jitterbug Flip, but it also has more features. I really like some of the new features and I just need time to get used to it.

My husband needed an easy phone to use. We looked at others and upon a recommendation from a friend decided on the Jitterbug flip phone. The only problem we had was transferring the contacts from his old phone to his new Jitterbug. The sales lady who was very knowledgeable tried everything and nothing would work. Therefore I had to enter all contacts manually which isn't easy. So far he likes the phone.

Worthless phone and even more worthless customer support. This phone does not answer calls upon opening it. Imagine an elderly person trying to find the "OK" button to answer a call. Useless. Supposedly, there is a firmware update that allows you to change this. I could not find anything online except a PDF that states indeed a firmware update fixes this issue. No procedure or information how to actually perform this firmware update though. I tried calling customer support, in fact I'm in line to talk to someone as I write this, for an hour now and I'm still on hold. This is NOT an award winning company with award winning customer support as they claim (They keep telling me this on their hold pre-recording) Could you imagine trusting them in an emergency situation?! Heck NO! Oh, and forget about trying to transfer an existing number. I'll save you the headache now, just go with the new number and save yourself hours of trying to make that happen. You have to buy the phone and get an account FIRST and then you have to try and port it with customer support later. So basically they want to make sure you give them your money first and sign up for a plan and pay the activation fee. I think this is basically a scam, someone bought jitterbug and is trying to squeeze as much as they can on the company name before they got out of business. Avoid this and look for other options.

With 3G going away soon, I needed a new easy flip phone for my 93 year old Mom. This little phone was perfect. All she uses the phone for is talk and although the basic unlimited plan offers more features than she knows how to use, but the cost was less than the basic plan she had at Verizon. We are very happy with this product. The customer service at Lively does an outstanding job! They take all the time you need to have questions answered and walk you through the set up.

I got this for my mother-in-law. The charge cradle is a plus, because she has problems plugging in cables. The ringer is extra loud, which helps because she is hearing-impaired.

Great idea, however not only could my elderly Mom not operate it - I had trouble operating it! Also, if you have a life alert around your neck and live in an assisted living facility, this red 911 button should not be used. Ever.

Great phone at a great price. Excellent help by the sales people. I will definitely be shopping at best buy again!!

I just wanted a phone that was easy to call someone on. This phone is great, easy to use and buttons are bigger so easier to read. Love it

This phone is perfectly fine for someone who does not vision problems. The original Jitterbug Flip, beeped when opened and my mom could state, call Jill. This phone no longer supports voice calling. Alexa is available however it cannot dial phone numbers. It requires the Alexa app which you cannot download on this phone. I found a Flip 1 on Ebay. Again, the phone is fine, and I am sure the Amazon app works and dials number on the smart phone. But mother's vision is very poor and she cannot navigate through the menus to make an outgoing call.

This is our third Jitterbug phone. Wish the phone could be turned up a little louder for old people like my husband and me. The service is fine. My husband likes the big buttons for dialing but sometimes drops it because of size.

My 86 year old mother loved her new phone . Ease of use. Flip to answer flip down to end call !!!! Big numbers easy to see.

The phone functions quite differently from its companion cell phone which I own. I bought this for my son. I tried to set the alarm (to remind son of his medication) and was not able to do so. I tried to find out how to delete items no longer needed (such as old calls). I am 88 yrs old and perhaps young people all know how to use the functions but I do NOT. My great granddaughter says she will show me how to use the phone functions by going on UTube. I am waiting. She is very busy with two little ones and working full time as a school nurse. Once I learn how to use it, I will probably love the phone.

My Grandmother needed a new phone and smart phones are out of the question for her limited knowledge of elecrronics. This phone works well for her, though she would prefer if it could be just a bit louder

I am so disappointed. When ever my senior tries to answer the phone, she accidentally turns downs the volume. It is not that easy to hold the sides to flip open for calling or answering without pushing the volume buttons on the side. Then it's worthless. I am about to give up and cancel the service.

Easy to use, large numbers on number pad. It was great while I was in nursing home for rehab as the rooms did not have landline phones.

So far it has been excellent. The coverage has been strong and for anyone wanting a flip phone this is an attractive option. Large buttons and simple format makes it perfect for all ages.

Bought a lively phone for my 94 yr old father, phone was not set up in the store as it was never taken out of the box. I found out later from great call (the carrier) that it should have been set up before I left the store. I have had almost 2 weeks of ridiculous service for a cell phone that should have been finished in 1-2 days. i am ready to call Great Call and tell them to shove it and forget about the phone I purchased and go with someone else. Try to get a hold of someone in the store? Its not happening. Just plain ridiculous!! Never again!

Overall the phone seems great for my mom. She isn't experienced with cell phones and wanted it for emergency purposes. We haven't used the camera yet but will keep the review updated
