I gave this to my husband for Christmas. It said the magnet would work with any case. We ended up taking the case off each time we got in the car. Then, the magnet was strong enough to hold the iPhone 6. Two weeks later the a/c clip broke off on the magnet side. The 5 or 7 tiny magnets inside were to strong for the glue the bonded the cover to the vent clip.

I have tried all kinds of systems to get my phone on my dashboard but this one is a very effective way to use my phone for GPS guidance. My wife and I have one of those in our cars and we would not do without it. You still have to pick your phone case before hand as you need to attach the metal plate on its back and you cannot change your mind.

The magnet was surprisingly stronger then my initial thought but my only problem was the AC vent in your czar had to be a certain thickness for the magnet to fit. It worked for me but had to muscle it in a bit before it was secured enough to hold my iPhone 6 Plus. Definitely recommend for drivers that utilize GPS to drive around so hands can remain free.

It's good because nothing stays on the sides of the cellphone. The only issue is that if you use a thick cover the magnet may be effective.

I had no problem using this in my car's vent, the magnet is strong and I can use it on any phone!

I had to purchase a thin case so the magnit would hold the phone against it. Very convenient when using nav on your phone and driving

Simple design works well. Magnetic base is easy to move between vehicles and small size is good for travel and use in rental cars. Metal plate that sticks to phone must be outside of phone case if one is used otherwise, magnetic attraction is weak. Also discovered an HTC phone reacts strangely when attached to magnetic base.

The mount works well on my vent. My phone does not fall while driving. The magnet pulls out of the vent when I remove the phone. The metal that you place on your phone doesn't stick good enough. I had to use super glue. The magnet is not stong enough to put on the inside of a case.

The perfect phone holder to be hands free and still see the screen for GPS directions.

This is the best, the simpler and the most usefull item you can find as air vent mount

Works fine if the slats on your air vent are thinner. I found that mine blocks one vent entirely, and it tricky to position. I drive a Malibu and found that while the magnet system works great, it is hard to angle down so it can be read without glare. In hindsight, I might not have bought it if I had paid better attention to the way my car's vents are positioned. However, this may work very well in another vehicle.

One of the best cellphone holders I had. I love how easy is to use it with the magnet.

Works great on never vehicles with solid vents but in older vehicles with thin vents I couldn't get it to attache correctly.
