This is my third Anywhere Mouse. They are great. They work on any surface. Although I had a little trouble on a steel key board tray. Just put a paper down and it worked fine. This was a great price so ordered a spare. I have used my first one for about 4 years maybe more. From whenever they were first introduced. Started having a little trouble with the buttons, so bought the second one and am using now. This third one is a spare since it was a good price.

I will start with saying that this is the best mouse I've ever owned, and yes, this product fails at times as some reviewers note. Mice, like any other mechanical device, will ultimately fail. Most of my life is spent using a mouse, so I am a heavy mouse user if that makes sense. I've been using this mouse for 6 years and have had several failures, but am only on my second actual purchase due to Logitech's superb warranty and support. I have had to phone in for replacements, but they are sent via expedited shipment and I have them within one or two days. This is the best mouse I've ever owned and will continue purchasing as needed once the warranty expires. If you can get this mouse on sale, then I'd say take the plunge for sure as you cannot go wrong unless you absolutely need Bluetooth connectivity. If that is the case, then the Anywhere MX II was just released with Bluetooth but I prefer this model as I'm not interested in a rechargeable mouse. Also, as some reviewers note, this mouse likes batteries. However, I use rechargeable batteries so it is not an issue with me. The overall feel and that the buttons are customizable are home runs with me. Give it a try, you won't go wrong. If you don't like it, then simply return it. You won't know if you don't try. I don't know about you all out there in the world, but I have used a bunch of different types of wireless mice. This one literally works on every surface! I am on the go and need it to work anywhere and everywhere...and it does!! Reasons to buy: 1. Works on every surface (glass, laminate flooring, tile, carpet, desks, skin, clothing) 2. Comes with its own carrying case (and its nice) 3. Lightweight 4. Comfortable to use 5. Has on/off switch to prolong battery life If you think the price is too much....I can assure you once you have used it, you will not regret the purchase.

I brought this because I ended up purchasing a glass desk that my mouse wouldnt work on, did a little research and came across this mouse and it does exactly what its supposed to do unless the glass is dirty, which is normal from coasters/spills etc. Overall a great product.

I'm on the road a lot and work in hotels that don't always have the best desk setup. This mouse allows me to work on my Surface Pro while in bed, in the car, and on the couch without any skipping or issues. I only wish this was bluetooth.

It works on pretty much any surface you can throw at it, is very responsive, customizable and comfortable. You can get a great amount of use out of one set of batteries.

A little over priced. I use all of the buttons and like that they are programmable for different programs. I like it enough that I will invest in a new one. I bought the first and the last two were warranty. (because of the left mouse button) I do use mine more than most people would (50 to 60 hours a week mostly with AutoCAD) I did see one other review that mentioned the problem with the left button. The programmable buttons are nice and I set them up differently for AutoCAD and Word... The free wheel function is very useful but the Click-to-click scrolling is what I use most of the time. I bought this because I needed to use it on a glass table and it is nice that it works on any surface. The middle button took a little getting used to. Over all a nice comfortable mouse. I have recommended this to friends with a warning about the left button.

Ergonomically it is very nice. It is a medium-sized mouse and fits in the hand very well. Good weight. You know you have something in your hand but it doesn't weigh you down. Moves very nicely on all surfaces. There are four pads on the bottom which facilitate easy movement. Reception from computer to mouse is very good and there is no lag or skipping. The Application Switch button works very well. One push and all the applications open on the screen find an empty space and you can select a new open application. It works very well. Much better than the four finger gesture required by the Microsoft Touch mouse.

Don't shout me down. I've been using the Performance MX for over a year now and I think it's one of the best out there. So when I was looking for a travel version I knew what I like. Well, This Anywhere MX feels just as good in the hand. The wheel is real smooth and responds really well. The contour of the mouse feels so close to Performance and if that's what Logitech was trying to accomplish I believe they have. I know it's not a fullsize and I don't expect it to be one. For the size and feel ... I like it. In addition, I like that it comes with a carry case so that I can just drop it in my bag.

Very comfortable and reliable. Set it up in my Dell AIO, replacing the stock one, without using the adapter and works great - Thanks to Unifying receiver. The battery lasts forever!!

I bought this mouse twice. It always have the same problem. After a couple of months, it starts to double click even when you only want to click once. It messes up with my work. I had so many windows, programs, files that accidentally closed because of it double clicking. It is not worth it. It does't last long.

This is my third mouse of this model. My first one finally kicked the bucket after 5 years and I have been using the second one at home for 2 years so when this one died at work I knew exactly what mouse I was going to purchase again. I like that they upgraded the materials on the new version. The feel of the mouse is much better and it seems to track better then the old versions. Another great product from Logitech!

I love this mouse, or mice, because I actually own 3 and I've just ordered a forth because it looks like they stopped making it. I love he fast scroll. I love the programmable buttons. It works great on every surface I've tried, the arm rest in my car, every different sort of counter top like marble or granite or tile etc. It fits in my hand very nicely and it comfortable.

Perfect mouse, awesome for the price and haven't had to change the batteries. The Logitech Unifying Receiver works as advertised with my other friend's mouse and keyboard that are Logitech as well.

it started off well but 14 months into use, the left click stop working on it :( it worked real well while it lasted however!

Having just opened it, I'm immediately disappointed. Three major, physical problems right off the bat: 1. There is no compartment for the USB connector. All other mice I've purchased recently have had a hidden compartment (or even a visible one# where you can store the connector. The fact that this does not displeases me greatly. 2. The scroll wheel feels like it's dragging #too stiff# so there is none of the fluidity I expect from Logitech products and as a result the scroll clicking is louder than normal. Further, it was my understanding that the button behind the scroll wheel toggled the wheel between clicking and free scrolling #allowing you to fly thru a list or site quickly). This is the purpose of the button on the Marathon 705 mouse and was a very desirable and useful feature. 3. One of the best features of Logitech mice is the easy and very quiet left and right click buttons. In a quiet office, the buttons being almost noiseless is great. This mouse does not have that. The clicks are as loud as cheap mice and equally stiff. Overall, I'm unhappy with this purchase so far. I have no idea yet whether or not it works on glass so I can't judge that yet.

After using for a while, left click mouse button double clicks when you only click once. Becomes almost impossible to use. Many others on the Logitech support boards with similar issues and no solution. Battery life is not nearly as good as my old VX450 model. That one was a workhorse. They should learn from themselves.

Ergonomically, the mouse feels great! It has good weight and the button layout is perfect. And Logitech wasn't lying by calling it "Anywhere" either. I haven't found a surface that prevents it from tracking correctly. This mouse is AWESOME.

Absolutely love it! The scroll is smooth and it can be use on any surface!

This mouse works well. It truly works on any surface and I like the small form factor on the usb adapter. I sometimes have trouble selecting from drop down menus, but I use this mouse 8-10 hours a day on a regular basis and it has performed well.
