A50X has Bluetooth which does come in handy while playing. Also the need for only one base station between PC, PS5 and Xbox is nice. Still messing around to see if I can have my PC sound ported through so I could hear both while on Xbox or PS5 like I could with the A50.

Sound quality okay I guess, i see no difference between these & the Astro A50s in my opinion, Every now then i get complaints from my buddies on party chat that my mic sounds statically while i speak. Fixed that problem. Now im dealing with another problem mic wont charge on station, no orange light but says “100%” on the app, take them off the station turn them on “5% battery” Ive done app factory reset, updated, hard reset on the headphones. No changes. Until i had to remove the fussy sticker on the non-microphone side there’s a white box needs to be pushed in. what i did to my old Astro A50s What’s mind-boggling to me & after 3-4 months that i didn’t have to do that with my astro a50s until 1 year of usage. Go different route man, or purchase at your own risk but Im Absolutely DONE with Astro Products.

I had high hopes for these because the quality was so great, but I would never buy a wireless or a logitech headset again. Not to mention that you have to set up a charging station which connects to your TV and Xbox and you have to buy a separate HDMI cord just to use separate devices. How to go from being wireless needing five separate cords just to use it.

Underwhelming

As expected, they are without a doubt the best headsets I have ever owned. Naturally, I’m excited to pre order the A50s. They have been the absolute WORST headsets I’ve ever owned. The audio is decent, but the software and CS support is HORRID. I cannot for the life of me get the software to update on these headsets and customer support is oblivious to the issue. I will never again purchase another Astro product. I caution anyone to consider a different product. You’re playing roulette buying an Astro. Signed, a once huge fan of the Astro headset.

You definitely need to make sure you hook up to a computer to get custom EQ setting. The default is bad but the settings on the phone help if you don’t have a PC.
