The best gaming headset I have ever experienced.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upon unboxing the headset, it became immediately apparent that the ASTRO A50 X sets itself apart from other gaming headsets I've previously used. The packaging is neat, and all the cables are meticulously included and labeled based on their intended connections. The build quality is exceptional, providing a premium feel when holding the headset. One notable aspect of the ASTRO A50 X is its versatility in terms of connection options. The headset is accompanied by a base station that can link to multiple gaming consoles through HDMI 2.1 and USB-C. This base station serves as an AVR system, allowing seamless switching between preferred gaming consoles by simply pressing the Play/Sync button on the headset. The setup process is straightforward, though customization depends on the individual gaming arrangement. In my case, with two distinct setups one has an Xbox Series X and Alienware R15 positioned at a distance from each other, I only connected my Xbox, making the Play/Sync function unnecessary. On the second setup, I have my PS5 and Nintendo OLED, the Play/Sync feature becomes essential as both PS5 and Nintendo are connected. The transition between consoles is smooth, with no loss in the 120Hz refresh rate, thanks to the base's ability to pass through 120Hz 4K. The base station also serves as a charging dock, offering a comprehensive setup and hassle-free charging through cable, while functioning as a replacement for an AVR system by delivering audio/video simultaneously. Additionally, the base features an illuminated label of the switched device beside the charging indicator, enhancing the user-friendly experience. The headset is also Bluetooth-enabled, and the Astro app is available on both Android and IOS devices for adjusting a few limited settings unlike on PC or Xbox. The inclusion of Dolby Atmos, coupled with a long-term license, adds to the headset's appeal. All controls are conveniently positioned on the right side of the headset, with the earcup managing the balance between game sound and voice. In terms of performance, having used it extensively across various games, I can confidently say that this headset is exceptional. The sound quality is remarkable, capturing clear footsteps and effects. During gameplay in Assassin's Creed Mirage, the immersive experience was noticeable as I could identify every single movement with zero latency, and the sound synchronized seamlessly. Moreover, it is very comfortable, and wearing my prescription glasses poses no issue as they fit well. The flexible mic allows for easy adjustment in any direction to achieve an optimal distance to the mouth and flipping it up mutes the voice effortlessly. Great gaming headset with superior sound quality and stable connection.

Amazing connectivity solution for omni-gamers!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quick Overview ================================= There are a LOT of choices if you're shopping for gaming headsets. Even at the top-end of the range, which these Logitech G A50 X Lightspeed Wireless (+Base Station) Headsets clearly fall into. Premium gaming headsets need to have features and functionality that justify their high price tag and we'll see if these can! Overall build ================================= The large box includes everything you need to get started except HDMI cables. HDMI cables you ask? Well, we'll get to that... The headset itself is large and wide with smooth-operating metal posts to guide the earcups to their positions. The earpads are a soft, breathable fabric (replaceable!) and the padding at the top of the headband is well-padded. The right earcup has controls including a game/chat volume rocker on the outer flat surface and buttons/controls for switching inputs, Bluetooth, power, and a volume wheel located at the bottom rear. The left earcup has the microphone that swivels up and down. It's flexible but doesn't really hold the bend. We'll see if that affects performance. The base station is a trapezoid with charging contacts and indicators for charging and Xbox/PC/PS. On the rear is the interesting part: You'll see 3x USB-C connections and 3x HDMI ports. The first HDMI port is an output to your TV or monitor and it's paired with a USB-C input that uses a special split cable providing power (via a power brick) and a USB-A connector to your PC. The next pairs of USB-C/HDMI ports are for PS and Xbox. Logitech had to do this because each system uses a proprietary wireless protocol (hence so many headsets built for one system or another...). Here, it's taking audio in from the HDMI feed and using USB-C for the microphone. It's a bit to set up, but it does work well in practice. Initial setup ================================= First, peel off the plastic film protecting the charging contacts on the base station and set the headphones in. You can't simply drop them in unless you're lucky. You'll need to adjust one cup or another slightly until you see the charging lights go on. It's not a big deal, but be sure to take the time to make sure they're charging before you walk away. Next we need to connect up all the HDMI and USB-C connections. First, I started by plugging in the included power brick (multiple plug adapters are included for international use) and connecting the special split cable to the power port on the base station. The cable's end is red and so is the proper port, so it's easy to match it up. From there, it was USB-A to my gaming PC (Asus ROG Strix G18). The next set of USB-C/HDMI went to my Playstation and lastly, another set to the Xbox. Note, I did have to remove these from my Yamaha receiver which was not ideal since I do want the option to feed sound through my home stereo setup at times, but we'll discuss that later. Also, I've heard that the setup can be difficult for many that aren't comfortable with A/V setups so Logitech does have some videos out there to help. After that, I watched the blinking lights for awhile and decided it was time to test. Performance ================================= Starting with PC gaming, I was pleased with how light and comfortable the headphones felt on my head. Whether they were actually lighter or not than my Rig 600 Pro HX, they felt lighter due to the good padding and fit. I fired up a few games to test including Sniper Elite 5, Warframe, and Yakuza Kiwami 2. All the games sounded great and the low, gravely voices used by the voice actors in Sniper Elite 5 and Yakuza Kiwami 2 came through loud and clear. Positional audio sounded at least as good as my old Rig 600 Pro HX. I say that because it's hard to A-B test these quickly. Warframe's mix of "space ninjas" and ambient music was another great immersive test. I didn't notice anything that the graphene drivers couldn't handle. Plenty of highs, mids, and bass from low voices and explosions with no distortion (I've had some on my Rig headsets before). On PC there are a lot of customization options that were easy to access since I already had the Logitech G Hub installed for some other peripherals. In it, you can customize the sound profile, EQ, and interesting to me, the mic EQ and noise gate. I record videos/voiceovers on YouTube and for work and I was very pleasantly surprised that the "Broadcast" preset sounded very close to my dedicated Rode mic setup. I was concerned that the mic's distance from my mouth wasn't going to allow for a good pick up, but my testing went really well. I could see using this for recording if my Rode broke for some reason. To switch to the Playstation, all I had to do was push a button on the right earcup and the input and sound switched over. Very nice! I don't know if I ever really need to "fast switch" between PC and consoles, but it definitely works quickly and as intended. On the PS5, I heard some people had to select the proper sound/audio device, but mine was ready to go and I started up Nier:Automata and Sniper Elite 5. Both sounded great, especially Nier's mix of wilderness sounds, ambient music, and 2B's battling. Sniper, of course sounded great with good positional audio and voice delivery. Switching to Xbox was a non-event with another push of the button on the right earcup. As expected, everything sounded perfect with no flaws I could notice. The ease and convenience of switching systems was definitely appreciated. With Xbox (and Windows) you get Dolby Atmos which is nice in titles that take advantage of it. I didn't test Bluetooth, but note that the Bluetooth pairing is with the base station itself. So you're not going to be just taking the headset with you and gaming on your phone. You'll need the headset and the power brick for that. I get it since the base station is wired up with HDMI and other connectors, but I think Logitech may have missed a nice feature by allowing for BT natively in the headset. Conclusion ================================= Overall, if you can handle the price tag, these are some of the best gaming headsets I've had the pleasure of testing. I've used SteelSeries' top-of-the-line wireless along with RIG and "audiophile" headphones for gaming, and these might be the best of the bunch in terms of overall functionality. I don't feel like I'm missing out on much sound quality from my Beyerdynamic DT770s and I get the convenience of wireless, a great mic, and multi-system switching! If you have multiple systems and hate buying the "Xbox"-branded headsets only to find they won't work with your Playstation, well these Logitech A50 X LIGHTSPEEDs might be just what you need! Previously, I had to feed everything through my Yamaha receiver and use a pair of Sennheiser (RF wireless) headphones plugged into the headphone output to game seamlessly between systems. I do lean more towards gaming on PC and Playstation, so a two-system solution may have been acceptable, but Logitech went for it with support for all three. Having said that, do most people have their gaming systems all set up in the same place? I certainly don't so I'm lucky I was able to move my gaming laptop out to the living room to test this out. Normally, I'd have PC only in my office, with the consoles out in another room by the TV. Your mileage may vary on this point depending on your setup. Also, for more complex setups including receivers and HDMI matrix setups (yes, I use one for multi-screen in/out) this means a lot of HDMI 2.1 cables to get the maximum 4K HDR that the base station supports. The ease of use and ability to consolidate may have me re-thinking my setup. The Logitech A50 X would be a perfect way to control all the inputs in my office if I moved a console (or two) here. That's something that I'd never previously considered.

Posted .Awesome review! The A50 X seems like a game-changer for multi-console setups. We love that the sound quality rivals wired options, and the mic clarity is top-notch. While Bluetooth on the headset itself might be handy, the base station setup offers tons of flexibility. Happy gaming!

Amazing headset, base not so great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first wireless headset for PC gaming, as I've always been the wired guy. I now have most of my stuff wireless, and this headset was my last thing. Amazing sounds, super comfortable, great battery life. My friends say my mic is just about the same quality as a Blue Yeti I have been using in the past, which was a surprise. Everything about this headset has been awesome except for the base. You would think you could just have a perfect fit, drop in charge every time I put it away, but not really. I don't know about others, but about half the time I put them in the base, they are not sitting correctly on the prongs in order to charge, so I have to fiddle with it, and then I will see the indicators that it's charging. You figure if it's molded to match the headset and just slide down onto the prongs that it would just fit and charge every time; that is not the case, as I've definitely a couple of times already just put it on the base and walked away, then the next time I went to use them again, I realized they hadn't been charging. You could probably get audiophile stuff that's better than this at this price point, but as far as the headset itself goes, I think it's amazing with a not-so-great charging base.

My favorite so far!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box you can feel the care and craftsmanship that went into this headset. It was very neatly packed and came with a charger along with not just the standard outlet for the US but also for European use. The dock is cool has the usual usb-c and hdmi connections on the back of the dock. It is easy to use (for both my Xbox series X and also my steam deck oled). What separates this from the other headsets that I own and use? For me it’s comfort. It feels so much better on my ears very soft! It has Pro-G graphene audio drivers and sound quality is impressive. I mentioned the hdmi 2.1 4k passthru (use it on my Xbox X) which makes the audio (24 bit) sound really great. I haven’t used the mic so can’t comment on that. The A50x supposedly has 24 hour battery but with the dock it’s never an issue anyway so that is not a problem. It doesn’t interfere with my other headset that my spouse used at the same time which is also a huge plus. Overall this is a great product by Logitech and worth the price just for comfort and sound alone to me at least.

Specific Target Audience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR: Great if all your gear is in one spot FEATURES The A50X ear cups are the softest and nicest cups I’ve used to date. Compared to every other headset I have, gaming, traveling, etc. these are the most comfortable headphones I have used, regardless of manufacturer. The foam surrounds and their cover material feel luxurious and do a great job of sealing out unwanted ambient sound. The A50X uses Logitech’s 40mm graphene drivers. Logitech claims their graphene drivers are ultra lightweight and with that “improve response, clarity, and sound localization”. Frequency response is rated at 20Hz to 20kHz, encompassing the entire frequency range for human hearing. This is uncommon, as most headphones struggle in the lowest octaves, which unfortunately, I find plague the A50X’s too. What doesn’t struggle is the excellent microphone Logitech has included. It is markedly clearer than any of my other gaming headsets. Even my Pro X 2’s. Frequency response is rated at 60Hz – 20kHz on the mic, but what can’t be listed on the specs sheet is how crisp and clear the vocals are. My gaming buddies immediately noticed how much clearer my voice was during gameplay. Excellent work Logitech. The A50X’s include all the necessary wireless protocols you would expect from Logitech. Bluetooth and Lightspeed are included. The Lightspeed tech is impressive. I found audio lag nearly non-existent using their high-speed proprietary protocol. Even better is that there is sufficient bandwidth to transmit audio up to 24-bits / 48kHz. Impressive. Add to that up to 24 hours of battery life and the headphones have a lot going for them. DOCKING STATION Logitech’s newest headphones take a novel approach to traditional gaming headsets. Using a unique docking station, Logitech combined the ability to plug nearly all your gaming peripherals into one device and allows the user to switch seamlessly between those devices. On the back of the docking station are 3 inputs: PC, XBOX, and PS5. The dock includes a USB-C input for a PC, and 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs with accompanying USB-C inputs for your gaming consoles, with a sole HDMI 2.1 output. All the specs are there for a great gaming experience. According the Logitech website, the docking station’s HDMI 2.1 ports support up to 40Gbs bandwidth, Auto Low Latency Mode, Variable Refresh Rate, and up to 24-bit audio. WOW! I can tell you that it works. Neither my PC, nor my Series X had any issues pushing a 4k 120Hz image through the dock to my gaming monitor. Users can easily switch the docking station between sources simply by pressing a button on the ear cup of the headphones. It works flawlessly. Anyone that is tired of having to re-pair headphones every time they switch between sources, will likely appreciate this feature. A user can go from gaming on a Series X, to using their headphones with their PC at the touch of a button, no longer fussing with unpairing and repairing the headphones with each source. SWEET! One thing that I have to mention, as I consider it very important, is that the docking station cannot be used without external power. The USB-C input connection must be connected to something that supports power delivery over USB-C. While Logitech includes a universal adapter in the box, you cannot connect the docking station to any laptop, computer, or game console and expect it to work. It must have USB-C power delivery and the device it connects to, if using the included USB-C to USB-A/C combination cord, should be connected to a minimum of a USB 3.0 port. Logitech warns against trying to using the docking station with a USB 2.0 port, as I am assuming it cannot supply data fast enough to the dock. SOFTWARE I am fortunate to have gaming headsets from nearly every major player in the field. Logitech’s G Hub software stands out as one of my favorites. It is minimalistic, simple, and easy to learn. It doesn’t try to be the end-all, be-all, one-stop-shop that all the others think they need to be. NEGATIVES One. My biggest complaint is not including noise cancelling tech into the headphones. As good as the earcups are at sealing against your head, they can’t compare to noise cancelling units. Users can never truly isolate themselves from their environment & even some of the smallest sounds intrude, limiting total immersion. Two. You can’t use the headphones without the dock. Not even for Bluetooth. If you want to use Bluetooth with the A50X’s, you have to pair the device with the dock. It isn’t a hard process and can be completed on the actual headphones themselves, but the fact you can’t use the headphones without the dock, is a buzz kill. I like to take a set of headphones with me while traveling, because of the dock limitations, it definitely will not be the A50X’s. On a positive note, I noticed no discernible lag over the Bluetooth connection when watching movies on my iPad. Three. There is no hardware-based surround sound built into the A50X’s. While the A50X’s are capable of Dolby Atmos playback, it is a full software-based solution (a license is included with purchase). Because of this, only PC and /or XBOX gamers and mobile users will get true Dolby Atmos playback back. PS5 users are limited to Sony 3D audio. Four. Logitech claims a frequency response that includes the full range of human hearing 20Hz – 20kHz. However, I find that the lowest octaves get muddied during reproduction. Whether it be PC gaming, Bluetooth music streaming, etc. the sound gets muddy at the bottom. Thankfully, the mids and high frequencies are much clearer and far more enjoyable with speech and vocals clear and intelligible. Five. I find the charging solution with the dock, quite fiddly. Once the A50’s are adjusted to my watermelon sized cranium, I can’t just walk by and place the headphones in the dock to charge. They never seem to just drop in and make contact with the 3 charging points. I have to work at getting them sized just right to make contact. CONCLUSIONS The A50X is a unique and novel approach to gaming headsets. As unique and unifying as the A50X’s are, they are equally as limiting. As far as gaming headsets go, these are a good piece of tech. If you have a set-up where all your gaming equipment is in one place, you would hard-pressed to find a better, easier, and more comprehensive solution. The docking station is a game-changer for those that have multiple gaming platforms. The ability to switch between inputs at the touch of a button from the headphones is awesome. Once you have it and try it, you will not want to go back to pairing and re-pairing devices. After just a few days of use, I already find it annoying, wishing other manufacturers would adopt Logitech’s approach. However, if you are a gamer on the go, these are not the product for you. Having to tote around the docking station and a bunch of different USB-C and HDMI cables are a deal breaker. Not being able to throw the A50X’s into a travel case and take them with me is a no-go. If you do a lot of traveling and gaming while on the road or in the air, I would look at a different solution, something like the equally excellent Logitech Pro X 2’s. Recommended, with limitations.

The Must Have Wireless Gaming Headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an avid gamer and a user of Logitech and Astro products, I have been eagerly awaiting for the updated release of the new Logitech Astro A50 X LIGHTSPEED Wireless with PLAYSYNC Gaming Headset + Base Station. I'm thrilled to say that it has exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly, the design for the most part has stayed the same since the Astros A50 ( Gen 4), but since Logitech acquired The headset is comfortable to wear, with the plush ear cushions and an adjustable headband that ensures a perfect fit. Since the headset is the same dimensions as the previous A 50’s, my A50 mod kit ear cushions work on these as well, which I highly recommend you adding, because they provide a tighter seal for your audio. Logitech have implemented their LIGHTSPEED technology into the headset for low latency wireless connection. The sound quality is nothing short of outstanding. The A50 X have added Logitech’s PRO-G GRAPHENE audio drivers, which offers groundbreaking clarity and response for precise audio separation, location, and timing accuracy. This allows for immersive audio that makes every gunshot, explosion, and footstep come to life. The 3D spatial audio technology is particularly impressive, allowing me to pinpoint the exact location of my enemies in games like Call of Duty: Warzone, Apex, and Fortnite. The headset also comes with Dolby Atmos, so if you are watching videos or movies that offer DOLBY Atmos, you will get the full 360 degree sound immersion experience. The Microphone has also received a much needed upgrade, with the addition of Logitech's Broadcast-quality mic that has 48 kHz full-bandwidth LIGHTSPEED mic uplink allowing new levels in wireless boom mic quality. The standout feature of this headset is the connectivity between consoles and PC. An issue that has plagued the video game community for some time now, is for those who have all the major consoles along with a PC, that are having to buy at least one headset for your PS5 and then a headset for your Xbox and PC. Logitech has finally fixed this problem with their updated Base Station with the introduction of PLAYSYNC. With a push of a button on the headset you can switch between your Xbox, PC and PS5. The base station now comes with 3x HDMI 2.1 ports: 2x HDMI 2.1 ports for your consoles, 1x USB-C to USB for your PC and 1x HDMI 2.1 out port that connects to your HDMI eARCH port on your TV. Setup is pretty straight forward in that you connect the Xbox’s 1x USB-C to the USB on your Xbox along with the HDMI from your Xbox to the Base Station and the same for the PS5. Then you connect the USB-C power adapter to an outlet and then the HDMI out port on the Base Station to the dedicated HDMI eARCH 120hz port on your TV. If this is a tad confusing for you Logitech provides detailed steps in the instructions. Logitech also has a step by step walk through video on their Youtube channel showing you what to do, which I highly recommend watching. That being said, depending on what brand TV you have, you might have to change some HDMI settings to allow the eArc passthrough to work and you might have to change some settings on your consoles to get everything to work correctly. Note: Unfortunately, Logitech does not include an additional HDMI 2.1 cable, so you will have to get another one for the HDMI out port for the base to the TV, and make sure it's a legit HDMI 2.1 cable, so you will get the 120Hz capabilities out of your consoles. A regular HDMI cable will work but you will be losing out on the performance. Another new feature to the A50 X, is the addition of Bluetooth, where you can now connect your phone to your headset, allowing you to playback audio and take calls through the headset. This has been a great addition in that I can now listen to podcasts through my headset while playing games and control the podcast audio from my phone and the game audio straight from the headset. My only complaint about this is that the Bluetooth chip is located in the base station, so you can’t go too far from that base station before you start having connection issues and it’s only about 20ft. So using the headset just with bluetooth is not an option and I wish they would have put the chip in the headset like they did with their A30’s, so if i'm on the go, I could just bring my headset and leave the dock behind. Another great addition with Logitech purchasing Astro, is that the A 50 X are now customizable in the Logitech Ghub software. In the Ghub software you can change your EQ and sound levels to your personal preferences. This is a great addition because you can now browse the community presets and see other peoples audio settings for specific games and have those settings auto default when you launch a game. There is also a smart phone app that you can download in the app store called “ Logitech G” where you can customize the audio settings for your PS5 and Xbox in the app via bluetooth. Overall, the Logitech - Astro A50 X LIGHTSPEED Wireless with PLAYSYNC Gaming Headset + Base Station is the must have headset for those who have more than one console and want a seamless transition between consoles and PC. Along with great audio, a clear microphone, great software and customization, you can not go wrong with picking up what I consider the best overall wireless gaming headset on the market now.

BEST OPTION FOR GAMING
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I LOVE these headphones. Customizable for your experience. Works for almost all devices. I started with the basic wired turtle beaches and this came highly recommended for gaming. I have had mine for over a year and have not have a single problem. The charging station is extremely helpful. The battery in these is also AMAZING. I don’t think I’ve gone under 60% battery and some days I can be gaming 12+ hours and forget to charge multiple days and still never gone below 60%. The sound is super clear and crisp.

Best gaming headphones on the market!!!
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Steel Series, Astro’s, Razr, and others. This has blown them all away. Even more so if you have multiple systems including PC. Switch input to consoles with the touch of a button on your headset. Incredible sound, a very long battery life. If you have multiple systems you will need to be high end 8K HDMI cables to get the best quality. If you plan to utilize what this amazing headset can do go for it!!! Hey you only live once. No more multiple headsets for different systems either!!! Very comfortable as well. Nice work Astro the competition has a lot of catching up to do!

Comfort, breathability, and stellar sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I was looking for something to replace my official Xbox Series X and my PlayStation 5 wired headsets. This Astro A50X headset is one headset, that connects to both of those systems (and PC too, if you’re a PC gamer). I figured for ease of use and convenience, that was well worth it on its own. Throw in amazing Dolby Atmos surround sound, earcups made of a fine cloth-like material instead of the usual leather that most headphones have, and the lightness/comfort of wearing it over extended periods… you’ve got yourself an incredible pair of gaming headphones. I have a larger head, and for me, a lot of headphones feel like they’re clamping my head. I’ve tried several cheaper headphones over the years, mostly “no-name-brands” from Amazon. They did the job, but eventually cut out in audio quality, leather tore, or were just downright uncomfortable. I’ve been using the Xbox and PS first-party headsets for a while now, and decided I finally wanted to dive into a higher-end pair of gaming headphones. I tested out what I found in-stores, Turtle Beach being a big competitor. And while they sounded great, their top model was just a bit too tight and felt like a vise on my head. I also thought the material of the earcups wasn’t nearly as nice as those of the Astros. These Astros are not only light, but the cups also swivel to my head shape too. It’s really such a small thing that makes a huge difference. Oh and did I mention the mic quality is crystal clear too? My only complaint is the initial setup is sorta complicated. You have to use a QR code that takes you to their website to play a video for instructions on how to setup the base connection to your monitor and systems. If you’re doing it for multiple systems (Xbox, PS5, PC), you’ll also need a couple extra HDMI cords, which at this price point, I think the folks over at Logitech could definitely have included. It does come with everything you need to get started for one system setup at least, and once you figure it out, it works really well. Haven’t had any issues with disconnecting or software glitches or anything like that. At the time of this review, it’s been about a month or so since I bought them. I’ve been playing with these on my Xbox Series X only, mostly because I’m away from home, at school. This summer, I plan to test out the multi-console features between the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. As of this point, if you’re looking to spend some extra cash for a pair of headphones that do *everything*, I’d say look no further. Aside from a little complicated initial set-up, and the lack of extra HDMI cables for this expensive pair of headphones, the Astro A50X is the most comfortable, incredible sounding pair of gaming headphones out right now. Keep an eye out if you can catch a discount on these, I got ‘em around the holidays for $299. Though the stars can only reflect whole stars, I’d say with the minor complaints I previously mentioned, it’s a 4.75/5 stars for me.

Still the King of Wireless Headsets.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Astro A50 for over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier. I had the older generation for about 6 years, and as soon as the new Logitech version came out, I upgraded — absolutely worth it. The sound quality is amazing with deep bass and clear highs, the wireless connection is flawless, and the battery life easily lasts through long sessions. The comfort is top-notch, and the charging dock keeps things effortless and tidy. After a full year, they still perform like new. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you want premium wireless sound and comfort, these are unbeatable.

Great for gaming
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve used several different styles of gaming headsets and the Logitech A50X is among the best I’ve used. Wireless gaming headphones have revolutionized the way we gamers experience our favorite titles, offering unparalleled freedom of movement and convenience. The A50X sleek and cutting-edge setup provides immersive sound quality that enhances the overall gaming experience, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the virtual worlds I'm exploring. SETUP In order to take advantage of the highest levels of audio, you do have to utilize the HDMI ports. There is no HDMI cable included and HDMI 2.1 is what is required for the ultra HD audio resolution. Logitech provides a USB-C to USB-A cable and a combo cable. That’s what I ended up using. The single USB-C cable end plugs into the back of the base station while the two opposite ends (a USB-A and a USB-C) plug into the AC adapter and your computer, respectively. My computer recognized the new device instantly, and I didn’t have any issues using the headset. Even without the HDMI connection, the sound quality is exceptional. COMFORT The A50X headphones are extremely comfortable. The ear cushions are covered with fabric so they are completely breathable and I didn’t notice my ears getting overheated at all. I thought the controls were in a manageable spot and that the boom mic reached my mouth easily. The headband was a little stiff, but not what I would consider uncomfortable. AUDIO QUALITY The audio quality is superb through these headphones. I primarily played using the PC function and thought that the audio quality was above average for fps games. The mic quality is equally as good as the game audio. My teammates could hear me easily, and communicating with them wasn’t difficult at all. OTHER THOUGHTS It’s a little disappointing that there is no noise-canceling option, but the ear cups provide quite a bit of noise isolation on their own. You do have to have the base station in order for the headphones to work, but you can use these headphones with Bluetooth-compatible devices or hardwire them in. I noticed that as long as the base station has power, you can utilize the Bluetooth connection. SUMMARY The Astro A50 X Gaming headset is available in white or black and provides a premium listening experience for gamers regardless of their platform. There are a couple of drawbacks, but overall, these headphones provide great functionality for gamers.

Amazing sound, great direction sound, comfortable.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the last gen Astro a50 which I been very happy with thus far. But the Logitech A50x is on another level. I thought the old version sounded good and had good directional sound but man these new versions are way better.the new drivers are higher quality and it shows with the richness and depth that they put out. Vocals are super clear when playing god of war or any other story mode game. And the surround effects are on point. I play a fair amount of Warzone right, and you can now hear even clearer and you can tell where the enemy is coming from. Not perfectly but I was more aware than ever. That is very important if you play first person shooters. That is the difference from getting high kills or not. I was using Dolby atmos which is automatically activated when the headset is fully set up and plugged into the PC. The design is almost identical imo but more refined. The power button is easier to turn off and on. The button to switch input is very tactile and easy to find while wearing the headset. The headstrap is the same and still comfortable for long gaming sessions. Better than others out there. The retractable mic sounds great as well, everyone I played with has told me this. Definitely better than the previous version. Tho I don’t talk all the time it’s a huge selling point for many. The base station might look like a hassle to set up but if you have all of your game systems on one monitor/tv the. You literally set it and forget it. I personally have a higher end monitor and my PS5 is connected to my mini led tv. So I will have to move it from one to the other. Easy enough to do. Not a big deal. You can use this for just a ps5 or just a PC. Logitech just wanted to cover all the bases which I can appreciate. Long story short. If you game you know the A50 is used by many many top gaming streamers and that’s because they really are the best. Now they are definitely goin to be the top choice. You can even use these as Bluetooth headphones too they sound soo good. You get what you pay for. They did go up In price a little bit but I feel it’s warranted. I’m more than happy with them. You will too I’m sure of it. Hope this helps! Oh yea one thing I wish Logitech included was an HDMI. I know we all have extra but some people don’t so that’s an added expense.

Its high-quality sound performance, featuring Dolby Audio, provides immersive and crystal-clear audio, enhancing the gaming experience significantly. The headset's wireless functionality is seamless, offering a stable connection with low latency, ensuring uninterrupted gameplay. Comfort is another strong suit of the A50X, with its plush ear cushions and adjustable headband, making it suitable for long gaming sessions without causing discomfort. The battery life is impressive, lasting up to 15 hours on a single charge, and the included charging dock makes recharging hassle-free. ||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comfortable, great battery life. And deep immersive sound stage. On Xbox you need to go Into audio settings and uncheck some options that isn’t really listed in the setup guide. You might have to update your firmware by connecting to a pc first. Also the setup guide is a QR code that is a broken link and Logitech has a bad website. Those are knocks against Logitech not the product

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE BREAKDOWN: The Logitech – Astro A50 X LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming headset really delivers the quality and premium experience. I personally have been waiting for the “One to rule them all” headset. It has been frustrating not being able to use my current headset with PC and Xbox. The fit and finish are remarkable. The earcups are the softest I have seen used to date. My only complaint is the top pad is slightly uncomfortable to me. The sound is amazing!! These 40mm graphene drivers are excellent the sound produced is clear, precise and just on point! One negative thing for me is there is no noise cancelling. I cannot be fully immersed in a game without hearing surrounding noises, and with teenagers in my house there is a ton of background noise. The amazing sound quality almost drowns out the ambient noise but it is still there. The docking station is well designed and made. It has almost all the spots you need for all your gaming needs. It has a spot on the back for Xbox, PlayStation and PC. The ports are USB-C input for a PC, 2 HDMI 2.1 inputs with USB-C for gaming consoles and a HDMI 2.1 output. It is easy to switch between sources by using the button on the earcup. This makes it easy to switch between Xbox and PC instead of unpairing and pairing! The headset has magnets and connects to the base very easily. Another issue that I see is that you must have the base to use the headphones. You cannot just take these headphones with you and use them Bluetooth without the base. PRO’s: - Absolutely stunning sound quality - Solid build and premium design - The mic is amazing - Battery life CON’s: - No noise cancelling - Must have the dock to use SUMMARY: Overall, this product worked as intended, and I would recommend this to a friend if they were in the market for an item like this.

Best gaming headphones
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They're very very expensive, but the excellent audio quality for gaming and fair for music, plus the fact that they never run out of battery, plus the fact that you can connect them to up to 3 devices through cable at the same time while you have then connected to something else via Bluetooth is insanely convenient, and you just swap devices by clicking a button. Very comfortable too. Very good clear sounding mic, the only thing is that picks up a lot of noise from the exterior.
