For the price and missing equipment, not worth it

Broken bass or just poor quality?

I love those, but the battery has been giving out, pushing me to try new ones. I held off until these were available to try the latest tech. Overall though, this feels like a downgrade from my Gen 3 A50s. My main complaint is the output "A50 X Game" sounds exactly like the Voice channel. There is no bass. It feels sharp and elevated to high frequencies. I have adjusted the equalizer and there is a noticeable difference, but still sounds horribly tuned to the highs. Outside of that, the headset itself is tighter than previous model. After about 30 minutes, it's physically painful. Maybe the others are just stretched out, but another downside. Finally, my teammates have told me the mic sounds boomy, as if I'm underwater. I have both this and the Gen 3 A50's hooked up, so I just hot swapped to the old ones and they said it sounds much better. Overall disappointed in the new ones. Maybe I got a dud, since everyone else says these sound great.... I will say the Lightspeed gives the headset about 2x more range than the previous ones... but that's about the only pro I can give it.

Extremely Disappointed – Cheap Build, Broken Parts

I expected premium quality from a product at this price point, but what I got instead was a headset made with shockingly cheap plastic that literally broke apart after just a few weeks of normal use. The structural integrity of this headset is laughable. It feels like something out of a bargain bin, not a flagship gaming headset. The plastic components are flimsy and brittle — mine cracked with no drops or abuse, just from regular daily wear. For a supposed top-tier product, this is unacceptable. But what really pushed me over the edge was the abysmal customer support. After reaching out, I was met with an endless back-and-forth over email spanning two full weeks. They eventually demanded video evidence, something they could have mentioned right away instead of wasting time on pointless troubleshooting steps. If they needed video proof to even consider helping me, that should’ve been the first request — not the last step after two weeks of wasted effort. And the kicker? Even after I jumped through all their hoops, they still refused to send a replacement part. Not a new headset, not a repair — not even a single replacement component for their shoddy plastic. Just a dead-end response and an expensive piece of broken gear. Save yourself the time, frustration, and money. Astro A50 X might look good on paper, but it’s all marketing fluff. Poor build, terrible support, and an experience that left me feeling ripped off. PS. this is my second one that did the same thing had the A50 thought the A50x would have some higher quality control or something. Never again.

Terrible software

However, Software is terrible. Need a firmware update to get mic to work, and this has to be done through Pc instead of my Xbox.

Works okay

When i would charge it and it showed full bars then i would take it off and turn it on. It would make the sound that the battery was dying even when i charged it for the amount already. Soon i had to resort to leaving it plugged in just so i can use it and it wouldnt die quickly. Now it wont turn on anymore and it says its charging but nothing.
