I never invested too heavily on a headset, but never went too cheap either. Was recommended the A50X by a friend and I cannot believe what I was missing out on with a very quality headset. Dolby atmos license is included, great dock, long battery life, great audio quality. I would purchase the A50X again without any hesitation.

Hey, this first time trying out a Astro headset. There so little that i can said or differ from the previous generations, overall is alright. A bit of the sound quality its not the greatest at the beginning sound bad and myself im a gamer. When i play the games it sounds so far away , but u have to play around on the EQ settings on the Logitech App to get the right sound touch you want. It so comfortable and the ear cushion could be a bit bigger also, battery life pretty decent. Mean hope this helps

The sound quality is on par with the original A50s. What's great about these is that I can have my Xbox, PS5, and PC plugged into it at the same time. Just simply press a button on the headset to switch from one device to another. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is because I had to turn on VRR to play my games as it would cause an unplayable lag at times. My TV supports Dolby vision gaming but not with VRR turned on. I like playing my games with a brighter crispier screen. I use a monitor for my PC and therefore don't have this issue.

Great headset if you have multiple gaming systems. I’ve been able to take advantage of it having it hooked to my PC, PS5, and Series S all at once and switching audio between them is a breeze. The base station is great and consistent it passes video and audio 4k 120hz through HDMI is makes it great for the price. 4K 120hz hdmi audio adapters are pricey. Would definitely recommend. It’s comfortable and never have to charge because it rest on the base when not in use.

I have the fix for this… Except it’s going to cost you an extra $97… To make the A50X work with “older” LG tv’s you have to disable HDMI Deep Color in the LG settings. However, in doing this you lose the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1 and everything that comes with it; 4K 120FPS HDR, ALLM, VRR etc. If this is acceptable for you, you can disable this feature and it will work. If not, here is the solution... In order to keep HDMI Deep Color enabled along with all the capabilities it provides, you have to place an HDMI 2.1 splitter between the A50X base station and your TV. This gets you around whatever issue currently exists between the base station and TV’s direct connection. The link below is to the splitter I used. It’s not cheap, but cheaper HDMI splitters/switches often lie about their bandwidth capabilities and likely would cause other issues, if they worked at all. I can confirm, I am currently using the below splitter with the Astro A50X base station, and an LG C9 OLED with HDMI Deep Color enabled and have complete HDMI 2.1 bandwidth/functionality with my PlayStation 5. Once you have the splitter, you will connect your source (PS5/XBOX etc.) to the corresponding input on the A50X base station, then the base station’s Output to the Input of the splitter, and then one of the Outputs of the splitter to your TV. **Be sure to use certified HDMI 2.1 cables for all connections. As a bonus, this splitter also has the ability to split audio out over optical, so you could also choose to connect your source to an AV system/sound bar with an optical input. Admittedly this is not the ideal solution, but until LG and/or Logitech develop a fix, this is a much cheaper alternative to getting a new TV. The audio and microphone quality and the base station HDMI switching capabilities of the A50 X, for me, are exceptional enough to warrant the cost of this work around while waiting on a firmware update to natively correct the issue. Great sound. Smooth and easy to operate, and change frequency settings on the fly. If you want great quality and flawless sound, go with the A50 X they’re worth it.

I have had Steel Series, Astro’s, Razr, and others. This has blown them all away. Even more so if you have multiple systems including PC. Switch input to consoles with the touch of a button on your headset. Incredible sound, a very long battery life. If you have multiple systems you will need to be high end 8K HDMI cables to get the best quality. If you plan to utilize what this amazing headset can do go for it!!! Hey you only live once. No more multiple headsets for different systems either!!! Very comfortable as well. Nice work Astro the competition has a lot of catching up to do!

This headset is massively overkill in terms of specs. Even better than my previous headset, I found only two issues with it. It can't be used (very well) to flip between a gaming computer and work laptop easily. It works but needed a headset to flip between two computers. As well, I personally dont play on consoles, but I did test the passthrough for HDMI and it works very well. However, it requires the base to charge with no other alternatives. As well, the PC port is the only port any PC connection is stable. I cannot stress this enough, but unless you are a pc gamer and console gamer, I wouldnt recommend this headset.

I know what you are thinking. Who in their right mind spends $380+ on a headset for a ps5/PC? Before you cross these off your list due to price, I want to tell you firstly: do not let the price scare you for this headset. There are very few headsets out there that ive used that completely and properly immerse yourself into a video game. If you are looking for the holy grail of PS5/Pc headaets for competitive gaming like ranked play, or want to play at a semi professional level eventually, or just want hair raising immersion with video games, look no further. Ive dabbled with orher high end brands like beyerdynamic with their 330 pro headphones ($330 headphones), Audese and their maxwell gaming headaet, previous A40TR owner, ans A50 Gen 4 owner, and these A50X’s are just on another level when it comes preception and awareness. The maxwells, and beyerdynamics sound fantastic, but if you want a pure gaming headset where being able to have a 6th sense with just stupid pinpoint accuracy with your ears, such-as footsets, and spaceal awareness, these cannot be beat. Thats why I prefer these over my other headphones. Ive always loved astro and decided to branch out, only to come back and be absolutely blown away with what their team can engineer. The detail, and realism these headphones provide is insane, and I fully understand why these are worth so more than any other highend gaming headphone, and why the pros use these. Heck, I thought upgrading from the A40Tr to the A50 Gen 4 was nice, the audio difference from the A50 Gen 4 to these A50X is something I truly didnt think could get much better. These things are pure bliss, and I encourage anyone who is even remotely thinking of tryign these to give them a shot, they will blow your socks off and gaming will truly feel like an escape from reality with these headphones. This has probably been one of my favorite purchases of 2025 already.. Also, make sure to buy an HDMI 2.1 for these, you will plug it into the base station and then into your TV. Your PS5 hdmi cable, gets taken out of the TV end, and it goes to the base station as well. So you will have an HDMI in and one out for the base station, plus the red Type C cable that comes with these to powers the base station. These headphones have alot of other cool features like mobile app stuff where you can tune them, and all that, but im absolutely dumbfounded with how good these sound right out of the box.. If youre into realism and are a competitive player, do yourself a favor, and these I can almost guarantee there will be an improvement in your gameplay, just off of having a good quality headset such as these. Buy with confidence!!

This headset maintains the high standard of Astro (Logitech) build quality. Very well built headset that is comfortable to wear for long sessions. Crisp audio and microphone quality with the ability to tune for different uses. In my opinion, the best part of this headset is the multiple platform support. Swap between PS, Xbox, or PC while having your phone connected via Bluetooth simultaneously with any of three.

Super good headsets, specially for gun games, best quality ive ever had

So I was looking for something to replace my official Xbox Series X and my PlayStation 5 wired headsets. This Astro A50X headset is one headset, that connects to both of those systems (and PC too, if you’re a PC gamer). I figured for ease of use and convenience, that was well worth it on its own. Throw in amazing Dolby Atmos surround sound, earcups made of a fine cloth-like material instead of the usual leather that most headphones have, and the lightness/comfort of wearing it over extended periods… you’ve got yourself an incredible pair of gaming headphones. I have a larger head, and for me, a lot of headphones feel like they’re clamping my head. I’ve tried several cheaper headphones over the years, mostly “no-name-brands” from Amazon. They did the job, but eventually cut out in audio quality, leather tore, or were just downright uncomfortable. I’ve been using the Xbox and PS first-party headsets for a while now, and decided I finally wanted to dive into a higher-end pair of gaming headphones. I tested out what I found in-stores, Turtle Beach being a big competitor. And while they sounded great, their top model was just a bit too tight and felt like a vise on my head. I also thought the material of the earcups wasn’t nearly as nice as those of the Astros. These Astros are not only light, but the cups also swivel to my head shape too. It’s really such a small thing that makes a huge difference. Oh and did I mention the mic quality is crystal clear too? My only complaint is the initial setup is sorta complicated. You have to use a QR code that takes you to their website to play a video for instructions on how to setup the base connection to your monitor and systems. If you’re doing it for multiple systems (Xbox, PS5, PC), you’ll also need a couple extra HDMI cords, which at this price point, I think the folks over at Logitech could definitely have included. It does come with everything you need to get started for one system setup at least, and once you figure it out, it works really well. Haven’t had any issues with disconnecting or software glitches or anything like that. At the time of this review, it’s been about a month or so since I bought them. I’ve been playing with these on my Xbox Series X only, mostly because I’m away from home, at school. This summer, I plan to test out the multi-console features between the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. As of this point, if you’re looking to spend some extra cash for a pair of headphones that do *everything*, I’d say look no further. Aside from a little complicated initial set-up, and the lack of extra HDMI cables for this expensive pair of headphones, the Astro A50X is the most comfortable, incredible sounding pair of gaming headphones out right now. Keep an eye out if you can catch a discount on these, I got ‘em around the holidays for $299. Though the stars can only reflect whole stars, I’d say with the minor complaints I previously mentioned, it’s a 4.75/5 stars for me.

I was nervous to spend this much on a headset, as I have not spent more than $150 before. I can gladly say though that this headset does not disappoint. It is comfortable through long hours of wear, sound quality is fantastic and the controls are easy. So helpful when trying to balance the sound of say game audio when also in vc with friends.
