The clarity is not great and there is a very large focus area, unlike the description mentions. I bought in hopes it would show a smaller background, but no luck. The shutter is good for privacy, and there are blue lights that indicate when the camera/microphone is on. Set up was essentially plug and play. I am very pleased with the purchase.
