Great webcam for Linux.

On Linux you should install the V4L to stop the auto focus from going crazy but you do not need to install V4L to have the camera work. I have tested the camera with vanilla Arch and Debian 11 so I am sure it will work with most any distro. I have used the camera with apps such as Kamoso, Telegram and Zoom all work fine.

My lap top sits behind my larger screen so had to move the lap top every time I needed to do a call. I keep the shutter closed and open only when I want to be seen. It sits right on the top of my larger screen and can be adjusted slightly as needed for correct angle.

Stereo microphones capture sound great. Really about as good as you would need before going with more professional equipment, especially if you're close to the camera. Not really much else to say, drivers installed automatically in Windows 10, but the Logitech software/drive seemed to add a couple more features. Definitely not necessary, though.

Excellent Webcam

The C920 Pro 1080 Webcam is no exception. You cannot go wrong with this choice. In fact, I like this webcam so much that I bought three for my three computers.

Gets the job done well and all I had to do was plug it in and it worked, no extra steps or hassle. Good audio and video, definitely not the the best but probably the best within this price range.
