Customers often highlight the excellent video quality, ease of use, and reliable overall performance of the C920s Pro webcam. Many appreciate the included privacy feature. While some users mention challenges with autofocus and cable length, the positive feedback on image quality and ease of setup significantly outweighs the negative comments.

Hi Drew, we're sorry to see you're having some performance related issues with your C920S Webcam. If you haven't already, please unplug and plug in the USB cord to your webcam. Then restart your computer. It's possible that all the drivers didn't download properly. If you've done that and are still experiencing issues, you do have a 1-year limited warranty that can be used to have a replacement sent out to you. You can do that here: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025075553-Warranty-C920s-HD-PRO-WEBCAM. Hope that helps. -N from Logitech

Sadly, my experience with this webcam has not been like the majority. Lasted basically a month and has stopped working for whatever reason. My mouse is the same brand and had some issues with it too. Don't see myself being a long-term Logitech fan and supporting their products unless something greatly changes my opinion.

    Great Camera for Windows...

Unboxed the camera and my first impression was it's hefty. It feels like a well-made unit. My side hustle is a photographer and the tripod mount will come in handy. I tested the unit on my Windows 10 machine and my Mac Mini I5 2.6ghz. The unit works great on Windows 10 with the Logitech Capture software (downloaded from Logitech). On the Mac, it's a bit more difficult. The Logitech site only has software downloads for Windows, yet the box states it works with Os X. So, I Google'd the C920S and saw a YouTube video. It suggested a app from the Apple store, but it isn't free. The $7.99 price tag isn't much, but I wasn't looking to spend money during the review. I saw one free app and it works. It isn't fancy, but it has most of the capabilities of the Windows version. As a regular Windows user and a part-time Mac user, I struggled to figure out if the camera was working. On Windows, the Capture software works through the app. No so with Mac. The app saw the camera, but how do I start recording or take a snapshot. Back to Google to figure out what I was missing, and I saw Photo booth. Ah, I have the app and software running, I need to open an additional Mac app to utilize the camera. So, I tested Photo booth and it works great. Taking snapshots was easy. Photo booth saw both my C920S and my C615. I was able to choose between the two. The quality seems much clearer on the C920S even though both cameras are HD 1080P @ 30 fps. Maybe it's me or something I need to adjust in settings. Regardless, I like the C920S and will use it on my Windows 10 desktop. The C615 will remain on the Mac. I just fired both up with Face time and they stream video very well. Again, the C920S looks clearer, crisper and more vibrant. Changing between cameras on the Mac is done through the drop menus under camera. Once I figure it out and got the free software (Logitech Camera Settings) from the app store, the camera's work very well. Other things I like about this camera are the privacy cover. It's snug so moving it back and forth isn't the easiest, but having a dedicated cover is nice. The solid feel of the unit over my older model, which feels a bit cheap and plastic. Lastly the tripod and monitor mount just feels more secure than the older camera. Overall, this is a great camera. I almost gave it 4 stars because of the difficulty I had with Os X. Logitech could make it really simple if they just put a link to the app on the Apple app store. But since the majority of users will likely be Windows users, I say it's a 5 star and I'd recommend it to them. I'd recommend it to Mac users also, just find the free app or Google Webcam settings in the app store and YouTube and you'll see what the 3rd party paid version offers. You choose, and I think you'll be happy too. Oh, and I just figure out how to record video using QuickTime player. Open the app and use the drop-down menu >file>New Movie Recording and a window will open for you to start recording. One more thing. The instructions state it will work with Chrome OS and Android. I didn't get a chance to try it out on Chrome, when I do I'll come back and add a note. How it works with Android (5.0 and above) I haven't a clue. It will take some Googling to figure that out. If you know, drop me a note...thanks!

    Quality Webcam

The last webcam I ever had is perhaps in the ballpark area of 15 years. Camera sensors have come a long way since then. Unfortunately, it’s one area that I cannot thoroughly test so the review will be very short compared to past stuff I’ve reviewed. The build quality of the webcam is nice. It can be set to sit on a flat surface or can be propped on top of a monitor. It also comes with a snap-on cover for when you want to ensure visual privacy. All webcams should come with something akin to a manual cover for extra privacy protection. Setup is easy. Using Windows 10 release 1709, the webcam plugs in and is up and running without any additional software. Windows 10’s own Camera app is a simple interface to the webcam and is a sure sign that there’s no software or driver conflict. Another software I tested the camera with is OBS Studio, a game streaming software. Using version 23.0.2 of OBS Studio, I managed to have the camera feed set up as an overlay on the game screen when it’s captured or streamed. Video performance is quite good even under low light conditions. Both video and audio quality capture is satisfactory for its purpose. The only limiting factor is its resolution. At 1080p, there’s a limit on how much detail can be captured at this resolution. Yet, at the same time, the data impact on USB bandwidth is minimal at 1080p. It’s both a pro and a con. If I were to point out negative aspect of the camera, it had to be its lack of additional sensors. Windows 10’s “Hello” authentication system allows for facial recognition but requires an IR sensor along with the camera sensor. Because the webcam doesn’t have a IR sensor, it cannot be used to log in using your face. And biometric authentication is becoming more prominent since it allows us to get into our devices or accounts faster using our faces or fingerprints. So is it worth grabbing? It’s a solid webcam and has all the basic features for one. It also works out of the box on Windows 10. I cannot honestly say to get it or not get it. However, if you are looking for a webcam, you can’t go wrong picking this one. It works for me. And the video quality is good enough.

Waited more than 6 months for this item to get restocked. What a disappointment. Nowhere near the reported HD quality the manufacturer claims. In fact it’s not much better than the crappy camera that’s built into a 2016 Dell laptop I’m currently using for work. If you’re truly looking for high-def video, spend the extra money and upgrade to something else!

This camera was great to start. Really easy to setup and worked quickly and easily with my WFH setup. Fast forward to about 6 months in and now it will randomly just not connect to the dock I use or the laptop directly. Sometimes it detects it and sometimes it doesn't. I never know and frequently can't use it now. Beware.

Hey there BigO, I'm sorry to hear that your camera wasn't what you expected. If you still have the camera, I would recommend downloading our Capture software, which should allow you to manually edit and shift things like focus, zoom, pan, etc. to get a better picture quality, as there may be something wrong with the auto focus. Usually, manually adjusting the camera will help make the camera work properly again.

Beware. Specifications on this site are wrong when they say compatible with "Mac OS X 10.10 or higher." Logitech now only offers software for this camera for OS 10.14 or higher. All older OS systems are now out of luck. I cannot evaluate the other aspects of this camera because it will not function in any way on the computer I have.

Hello Vince, I'm sorry to hear that you had some issues with your C920s webcam. If you navigate to our support site, you should be able to find all the software for the device listed in the download section for the C920s support page, including software for Mac OS 10.10, and every version after. However, software shouldn't be strictly necessary to get the camera to work, as it should be plug and play. If you're having issues getting the camera to work on your computer, I would recommend contacting us via our support site for direct assistance as well as troubleshooting tips and tricks.

It keeps going offline. Thought it was a mac issue, but no even on Windows you have to keep rebooting the machine for it to come online. I am not a novice user who does not know how to trouble shoot, tried all forums no solution works. Was lazy in retuning and now even past the returning window so stuck with a worthless piece of junk
