A 1080p, 30fps webcam with privacy!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't thought about external webcams in a long time because 99% of the time I was on a laptop, which has a built-in webcam. Then I added an external monitor, keyboard, mouse and suddenly I found myself needing a webcam but wanting privacy. The "s" in Logitech C920s stands for shutter, so it comes with a small clip-on attachment which you can use to either slide over or flip down over the camera. One of the reasons I picked the C920s is for this. Other than that, the Logitech C920s works exactly as you would expect. Setup in seconds (auto-detected by Windows 10), worked perfectly with Lync (our office messaging tool) and no complaints from anyone about video or audio quality. Happy and does all it needs to do.

Fast wifi not fast enough

Posted .Hi AnnMM, Very sorry to hear about the lag issue you experienced with the C920S HD Webcam. It sounds like the issue isn't one of fast enough Wifi to support the camera, it sounds more like a hardware issue with your computer or a connection issue. If you had the the C920S plugged into a USB hub, that could've caused connection issues and the lag. Hope that you will give Logitech webcams a try in the future. Terrible packaging!

I’m not even going to hook it up. Going to carry it back and swap it out. Looks like it should have been shipped in a box and not an envelope.

Posted .Hello, So sorry to hear about the way that the C920S was shipped to you---I hope that you were able to get that returned and get a new one in a better box. As far as the camer goes, I suggest that you use Logitech's Capture software when you get the camera up and running. Capture will allow you to customize settings for the camera and also gives you some great recording features as well. Can only be used in Admin Mode on PC

Since I personally prefer to be in that mode as little as possible, it's useless to me. I wish I had known this about it before I had purchased it, but lesson learned.

Posted .Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write this review of the C920S webcam at Best Buy. I'm sorry you're experiencing issues with the webcam, but I don't entirely understand what the issue is. I am currently using the exact same webcam and not in Admin mode on my work PC. I have never heard of this issue before of needing to be in Admin mode for the webcam to work. It should just be plug and play- no software necessary (although the Logitech Capture software adds a lot of extra functionality and adjustment). Please contact our technical support for more troubleshooting.

Broke in less than a month.

Everywhere that I try putting on my webcam just doesn't show anything even though the blue lights are on.

Awesome - Give it 6 stars not five ******
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After an extensive testing period, I can tell you this is a perfect webcam for Whatever your needs are. I began by plugging this camera into an older laptop I have still operating on Windows 7. The plug and play aspect automatically download the Logitech webcam app for my PC and I was up and running or should I say streaming, shortly there following. There are several options and features for anyone from the amateur vlogger all the way to seasoned YouTube, that make getting up and going quick and simple. On such an older computer, my quality was stiffened and fragmented but at no time was it of poor image quality per the option selected at the time (1080 looked great and even 480 were of decent resolution). On a new high-end gaming PC it was even easier with minimal operating struggles. I used this product with my XBOX by plugging it right into the side USB (Logitech Web Pro is a formatted and compatible cam) and was Live Streaming my game play in beautiful quality (probably because I was in the display box :^) with again just few seconds. The after effect is now wanting to purchase software that will only further enhance my Streaming abilities; with all the bells and whistles available. The camera is sleek and stylish with blue leds side lights to let you know it is working / on. I have had as much fun seeing what all it is compatible with (yes my 4k TV will double as a Skype monitor). In short, if you need or want a web cam THIS IS THE ONE (imo).

Great Image and Sound

I plugged it into an open USB port on my computer and that was it. It connected immediately. The picture is fantastic. The sounds is superb too for a webcam. I use this primarily for video trainings that I conduct. The only downside that kept me from given 5 stars was the privacy shutter. I appreciate that there is one included. But it just sits on the camera very loosely. If the monitor gets shifted or the camera gets moved or bumped the shutter will move. I am surprised it doesn't fit more securely. The base for the camera is also very well thought out. It adjust easily to accommodate just about any monitor size. I feel it is gripping the monitor very well. I can even set it up under my monitor and gain a little height just from adjusting the stand. It also has a place where it can be secured to a camera mount (trip pod for example). Overall super impressed.

The worker gave it such great hype, but once I got home and set it up the camera quality was terrible! Seriously worse than a laptop webcam. 0/10 recommend.

I would recommend downloading our Logitech Capture software, which should allow you to fully customize the quality of your webcam and allow you to manually tweak things like focus, pan, etc. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The zoom never work out the box. This old tech poor quality and overpriced. You get what you pay for, just not here. Pay a little more get what works.
