With crisp images, excellent sound, and solid build quality, this is an excellent webcam. Right out of the box, the build quality is obvious. The hinges move easily, the lens is glass (hard to scratch), and the entire device is well thought out. Attaching it to my monitor or laptops was simple, as the hinged case grips even very thin monitors, allowing for multiple viewing angles. Setup is a breeze. I plugged it into my USB port, Windows found the device, installed it, and Logitech located and suggested the correct software to manage it. Once installed, the camera performed as advertised; crisp, high-definition images, and clear sound from the dual microphones. The Logitech software allows you to add a variety of effects to the image, if you want to use it to take snapshots. One quibble – the privacy screen is a separate piece that you mist locate in the box (be careful – it’s easy to miss) and attach. Once attached, it fits solidly in place, but it would be nice if it were pre-installed in a set location. Overall, the Logitech Pro HD is an outstanding camera for all your webcam needs.

    Truly A 'Pro' Webcam!

This “useful” Logitech product arrived right on time as I am an educator, who does on-line teaching! The built-in web cams (various laptops) that I was using were very grainy and distorted with some lag. Fast forward, this wonderful product by Logitech brings just the opposite by giving a clear concise picture without any lag time. Out of the box, the product is easy to assemble only requiring downloading of the software, which integrates with my PC desktop well. The built-in microphone produces great audio. Additionally, I appreciate that it is small and portable as I will use it on a combo of my laptops and desktops! In summary, everything about this webcam points to win-win-win! As always, great job Logitech on yet another great product!

LogiTech HD Pro Webcam C920s This webcam seems to cover all the bases for both automatic and manual adjustment of image and audio performance. The webcam quickly adjusts itself to light and sound levels if left on "automatic" but can be tweaked to your satisfaction by manually changing image options if desired. Logitech generally leads the way in webcam technology and performance, and as a moderately priced and very portable unit, this webcam will not disappoint. Image adjustments include aspect ratio and resolution of the camera image all the way from 360x360 (1:1) for a tight head shot to 720p 1920x1080 (16:9) for full view of a small group conference. The quality of each aspect ratio can also be quickly changed to get full 720p resolution even at the 1:1 aspect ratio. Video smoothness can be adjusted for FPS at 24/25/30, and 50hz and 60hz anti-flicker settings depending on your light source. There are also automatic or manual settings for focus, white-correction, chroma as well as other image enhancements. Running the webcam at the highest resolution and fps gave the occasional warning message that the computer might not be able to provide a smooth video at the highest settings, but only an occasional stutter or pixellation running on i5 with plenty of RAM. The smoothness seems to be affected by how many programs are running in the background, as with any webcam. There is a camera "shutter" to close for those that are concerned about intrusion issues, and a standard-size threaded mount on the bottom to put the camera on a tripod if needed. A very nice feature included in the Logitech Capture software is the ability to quickly switch on the "picture in picture" mode to show the webcam image in conjunction with the primary monitor - whichever one you want to be the large image containing the smaller image is very easy to change. The small image can be moved around as desired and is also very easy to resize. The software keeps everything at your fingertips to make quick adjustments if needed. The software window has a somewhat large minimum size, which is not a problem if it can be moved to a side monitor but might get in the way if running on a single monitor. This is not really any different from other webcam software, but is worth mentioning. The microphone/audio was a little "tin can" on Skype when the camera was at a distance of several feet away, but this seems to be more of an issue with Skype than any problem with the webcam microphone. Overall, this webcam offers the best performance for the price, and the wide range of image adjustments should meet just about any video conference and streaming needs.

Picture quality is great, clear and sharp with good color, even in low light. Audio performance is also better than my previous webcams as reported by people I have talked with on Skype. Automatic controls seem to take care of most lighting situations, but manual controls are available if you need more customization. Although it is a very cheap add-on, the privacy shutter is a great idea that I am surprised isn't already built-in to more webcams and laptops. Mounting on a monitor is very easy, but if you have a monitor with a very small bezel, the camera may obstruct a small part of your screen. On top of that, the retail price is very reasonable for such a high quality webcam

Very good quality picture and easy operation. Plug and play. The picture quality is excellent. Easy to mount and really like the easy cover and lovely blue light strips that are lit when camera is activated. I use a LED light ring which really makes the image pop and us crystal clear. As high def I upgraded my internet to the fastest possible. Great camera - so much better than using a standard laptop one . Setup in 2 minutes.

Webcam was easy to install and works well. I really appreciate the privacy shutter (although I'm sure it doesn't turn off the microphone). I have an older "clamshell" type Logitech webcam on another computer that also works well. This brand seems to be well made and well thought out.

Received my Logitech Pro HD Webcam a week ago for testing. This webcam is pretty self-explanatory for connection and setup. Just open up the box and plug in the USB end into an open slot on your PC or laptop. Download the software from Logitech's website. This webcam is great for those starting out with streaming and takes decent quality photos. Also a great replacement to any other subpar webcams on laptops. I recommend this to anyone looking to replace their current webcam and/or starting out to stream. Software is easy to instal and use.

The Logitech C920 is a great webcam that offers excellent video quality for a relatively low price. It records in 1080p at 30 frames per second, which is the standard resolution and frame rate for most webcams. It also has a wide field of view, so you can easily fit multiple people in the frame.

It was incredibly simple to set up, works great and the image looks good. I do wish that you could adjust how wide the image is, as it shows a good more than what you get on with a forward facing camera on a laptop.

    Excellent Webcam for Conferencing

I'm using this webcam on my Alienware desktop for business calls with the Zoom conferencing platform. So far it is working great! While most people in the conference are using their built-in laptop's webcam you can easily see that I'm using a higher quality camera. I've also used it with Google Hangouts Meet and Skype. I like that unlike a built-in webcam I can position this anyway I want. The mount works on a flat surface like a desk or a vertical service like a monitor. It sits very gently on my monitor and I do not worry about it damaging it. My monitors also have very thin bezels and only a small sliver covers the screen, not a big deal at all. It even has a tripod mount which is pretty cool. It does include a privacy shield but I haven't used it. At the end of the day I just unplug it from my desktop. I do wish the USB cord was a little longer so I can give my colleagues even more exciting angles of myself but can always buy a USB extension cable online. I've also been using the mic on the camera and although I haven't tried listening to myself no one has complained that they can't hear me. Pros: 1080p 30fps Versatile Mounting Options Tripod Mount Good Stereo Mic Bright Blue In Use Indicator Includes Privacy Shield Cons: Harsh light can sometimes overexpose the image Too big for a travel cam Overall, if you need a webcam for your desktop or if you are just not satisfied with the built-in webcam on your laptop I don't think you'll be disappointed with this product.

    Small, But Large On Features

Small and very affordable, but large on features, the Logitech C920s Pro HD Webcam comes with advance capture software and allows the user to create and share video content easily. It offers full professional HD 1080p video calling and recording that delivers detailed, crisp and clear images in intense colors. This is possible through the software and the HD autofocus and light correction which adjust to the lighting conditions of the room where the video content is being created. Stereo audio is made possible with the use of the dual mics placed on either side of the glass lens. The 78-degree field of view allows for two people to participate in the video, and the dual mics capture the natural sound of their voices. The software installed very easily, and the webcam is designed to either mount on the computer monitor or a table top tripod. Either way, with the use of the privacy shutter and the autofocus and light correction features, the user is in full control of the video’s professional appearance. Use this webcam to Skype, hold on line meetings and conferences, stream video or give tutorials and presentations - all in an easy and professional way. This is a high-quality webcam that is easy to install, easy to use and delivers a full professional HD 1080p experience. It weighs .49 of a pounds and is 7.52 inches (H) x 8.94 inches (W) x 2.83 inches (D). With a two (2) year limited warranty, a 2.0 USB connection, digital zoom of 4 x, image resolution of up to 1920 x 1080, 15 MP and 30 fps, the webcam is compatible with Windows, Windows 7, 8 and 10 and is an excellent buy.

Nice Quality HD Web Cam With Tripod-Ready Base

You notice when unpacking the C920s that Logitech has been paying attention to the appearance of "quality"--this isn't blister-pack, off-the-rack store stock. It's a nice HD USB web cam with a glass lens surface and a rather sturdy, heavy metal base. The base opens and angles to several positions from a simple stand to a clamping arrangement where it can be attached to the top of a monitor or the lid on a laptop. It has a settings and control app you download at Logitech's site, and a similar app meant for taking pictures and videos with it. No frills, just the usual tweaks for brightness, resolution etc., as well as filters like you have included with smartphone camera apps to provide effects to the images. The C920s has available resolutions of 720p and 1080p at framerates of 30 per second. I love the auto-focus (you can choose to focus manually also.) You can place objects an inch or two away, give it a second, and have good sharp focus. The base has a standard female threaded tripod mount, which allows you to use a tripod (tabletop or full size) and set up or aim the camera in many ways. It would make a great digi-cam for photographing collections of things or things for sale. You could just attach it to a modern Windows computer, and use it with apps like Skype without installing the Logitech software. Now here is where we lose one star--the microphone. There's actually two, mounted on the left and right of the camera. I tried setting the mic input to max, but the test videos had the audio rather lacking in volume and quality. The Logitech Capture app allows you to use other available microphones on your computer. So if you had a good one, you'd be inclined to use that for a podcast recording or Skype. There is a funny little included plastic clip that opens and can be placed over the camera lens if you want to make sure the camera won't transmit an image should it be hacked or accessed by someone without your knowledge. Planned paranoia? ;) All in all, this is an excellent web cam with good quality build and resolution, almost-macro focus range, and seems well worth it's selling price.

Feature rich, great audio - HD Pro Webcam

By Logitech, the HD Pro Web camera, and its companion software, makes conference calls, face to face video calls and media recording clear, sharp and simple. Windows-10 instantly recognized my camera. After installing “Logitech Capture” software, I was able to tweak the features like zoom in; pan up/down, left/right; add a color border with a thickness of my choosing; frame rate; exposure; even HD or SD, etc.,. One of its best outstanding features is the PRIVACY COVER. This cover, once clipped on, adds a shutter that you flip up to allow the camera to view the room. Want privacy or audio only and flip it down to cover the lens. Attaching it to your monitor or laptop screen is easy too. The mutli-jointed friction clamp seems to fit all my screens thick or thin. On top of that, it can stand on its own, off to the side for a totally unique visual angle for your audience. The addition of a standard tripod screw socket lets me set up for recording my woodworking video. The camera adjusts to low light for a natural looking appearance, as well as very stable 30 frame streaming video. The recorded audio is very natural as playback is in stereo due to two (2) microphones to each side of the camera. Oh, and don’t forget the subtle blue glow of the LED ring around the camera to remind you it’s on. There are also very useful companion software links that rival expensive studio productions.

I received this product in exchange for my fair and unbiased opinion. The Logitech C920S Pro may not be the most fully-featured webcam on the market today, but it has plenty of features, solid video quality, and that legendary quality that dates back to the original QuickCam series of webcams. Video is clear, even in darker rooms. Frame rates are a solid 30 FPS at HD resolutions (1080 and 720) and can hit 60 FPS at lower non-HD resolutions; a glass lens helps immensely with keeping the picture clear. The stereo microphones are some of the best I've heard on any webcam; while not nearly as good as a stand-alone microphone, it's better than the built-in mics in most computers. Cortana, Siri, and dictation on both Mac and Windows worked great with the mic. It mounts with ease over a TV set or monitor, and it has an added bonus of a standard camera screw mount on its base that allows you to place it securely on a fixed mount or a tripod. One thing not mentioned by Logitech in their packaging or support documents is this webcam also works with Android devices, such as a Sony Android-based TV or NVidia Shield. "Hey Google" and speech to text, along with HD video is supported. All in all, the Logitech C920S Pro is terrific. It's a webcam for wherever you'd need one.

The camera I received had a picture of a shutter on the box and mentions it in the written materials inside, but there was no shutter included with what I received. Felt a bit like false advertising there, so be careful, as the box and description are a bit misleading. Hooked this up to one of my laptops and had no issues setting up the video, which was pretty much plug & play. Spent lots of time trying to access the camera microphone settings but could not clearly tell whether my laptop's mic or the camera mic were operating with my computer settings or video call settings. Computer speakers worked fine and synched with the video anyways, but it was odd that the camera mic was not as easy to identify and select as the video settings. There were no complaints from the receivers on any of my calls, but there was no loaded option to adjust the camera sound or clearly identify which mic was in use (computer or camera mic) like there was for the camera video, which immediately loaded into every video drop down menu present. Video calling is my primary use for the camera, and the video came out excellent (when leaving a video message or when video calling live). Folks I spoke with receiving the video complimented how clear the picture was and the fact that it adjusted to lighting regardless of what my actual lighting conditions were (they could never tell whether I had bright lighting or very low lighting or when there was a lighting change during the video call, and were usually shocked at how clear and consistent the video was once I informed them of my lighting conditions). Very quality, rich video produced from this camera. Overall, the video features were all great and performed very well, but the lack of clear audio selection/control of the camera's microphones and the missing (but advertised) shutter clip were a let down. I'd give this product a 3.5. based on what I experienced. Had the issues I mentioned not been present, this would have easily been a 4.5 rated product. Would recommend to folks who do not care about having a privacy shutter and who already have a solid audio mic system in place on the device they plan to use this with. Would suggest those with privacy concerns avoid altogether since the box gives the impression the shutter is included although it isn't/wasn't.
