    Great Camera, But Pricey Cloud Service.

    The Logitech Circle 2 cameras are weatherproof wifi security cameras that can be purchased configured for battery or wall power. Video is 1080p, 30fps with 180 degrees coverage and motion sensing. Each camera connects to directly to the cloud service, there is no separate 'hub' to install. There are separate accessories to attach to a window or mount directly to a wall plug. The camera also includes a microphone and a speaker for (brief) two way voice chats. The Circle 2 consists of a common camera unit and a base that is either wired or wireless. The 'wired' base is a 10 foot usb cable that plugs into a standard usb power adapter. The two 'base' packages are not (yet) available separately as accessories, but I would guess the accessory list will grow. I was able to run the wired camera off a portable power bank (10000mah, power while charging capable), so that could be used for battery back up. Video quality is excellent, even at night with the built in IR led turned off. The wide angle really is 180 degrees, and the 'fisheye' effect is noticeable, but not objectionable. The app allows control over alerts, storage or streaming only, indicator LED, IR LED, video resolution, field of view, and microphone sensitivity. Setup was totally painless. Download the app (NOTE: this was using an Android phone), create an account, connect by bluetooth to the camera (NOTE: your phone must be Bluetooth LE capable), select the wifi ssid, input the password, and connect. The camera will update itself to the latest firmware and reconnect to the cloud service. And you're up and running. This is a new product, so there are bound to be some bugs, but the only thing that I found was that the indicator LED couldn't be turned off. There are some features that would be nice to have, but the good news is that there appears to be lots of capability that can be harnessed. The cloud service comes in three flavors, Free (1 day storage), Basic ($3.99/month/camera, 14 day storage), and Premium ($9.99/month or $99/yr per camera, 30 day storage). Premium also adds some addition customization features. Transmission from the camera to the cloud is encryptied (https) and the video is stored encrypted according to the Logitech description. Although the camera units are common, and spare batteries are available, the base units are required to make them interchangeable. If you add multiple cameras (3-5 or more), you'll really want to create motion zones, which are only available in the Premium service. With three cameras, that adds up to $30/month or $300/yr on top of the cost of the cameras. This starts to push into the price of monitored service from Xfinity or ADP. Hopefully Logitech will address this in the future with a multi-camera discount.

    So far so good! This was easy to install and easy to hook up and easy to get up and running and so far It has stayed connected to my network with no drops.

    I've been using this camera for over 2 years now without any problems. What I really like about it is that I can position the camera against a window to video outside at night and it doesn't reflect itself on the glass.

    I’ve had this for a while now and at first it would go offline quite frequently. That’s an issue since I had to reboot it by unplugging it, when you’re monitoring a location 200 miles away that’s an issue. Over time there have been a number of firmware updates and the product appears more stable, now only seems to go offline when there’s a power blip and self resolves. The app is fine and receive notifications timely.

    Initial set-up was quick and easy. Just D/L the mobile app. I used iOS but this camera works also with Andriod OS as well. -Camera has great 1080p resolution in real time with a 180 degree field of view which is definitely a plus. -Also has 'Night Vision' which does work in very little to practically no light. This is exceptionally helpful for sure! -You can use this indoors or even outdoors since it is weatherproof -You get a Free 24 hour viewable storage (cloud) but you can upgrade this feature to mass storage as a premium for a fee with a subscription. There is also a 'Quick 30 second viewing" which is basically a re-cap of the past 24 hrs. so that you can quickly view important captures without having to sit through hours of viewing. -additional Smart alerts to your mobile are available if you subscribe to them. *I have the wired version and I found out that I can convert this to wireless (rechargeable battery adaptor) or adapt to a wall plug-in or a window mount....BUT all of these items are "accessories' and will cost you additional money! I have not looked into any of the costs for the subscriptions or accessories for now because I currently do not need them for my purposes with this security camera but I can say that overall, this is a fantastic security camera that has true audio and color in real time and works great! I forgot to mention that this camera also has a 2-Way 'Talk & Listen' feature so you can hear noises or what is being said around your camera AND you can also talk and anyone near it will hear you as well.

    This Wi-Fi security camera has been used both inside and out at my home. It has many nice feature for remote access, etc. Only downside is that my room mate is now self conscious not knowing when I might be watching. "Gotcha".

    First the build of the camera looks high quality, looking online I thought it would be bigger but when I got it in person it is much smaller which is a good thing for a security camera but it doesn't look or feel cheap. The camera connects to the base and is removable to add optional accessories like a wall plug mount or even a window mount. Installing it was a breeze. I just downloaded the app on my phone and let it sync up with the camera and I was up in minutes. The quality of the image is superb compared to some of the other wifi cameras I have. When trying out night vision I was surprised that it was almost as clear as daytime, I was expecting a grainy black and grey image like my other cameras but not the Circle 2. You can also talk into the app on the phone and the person on the other end of the camera can hear you. The only reason I took one star off is because of the audio, often times it is low and I have to turn the volume way up just to hear it faintly. Now for the app itself, it offers a free option which lets you stream live video and a couple of different paid tiers. I'm on the paid tier for a trial period and so far it seems useful. It sends alerts and notifications to my phone in case of movement. Each notification I can view the video and download it if I want. It can also compile a small video at the end of the day with all videos compiled into one. You can also view the camera on the web. I'll have to keep using the trial more to see if I am going to keep it and pay. Overall I would recommend it because it is a big improvement over several of the other wifi cameras I own. I think over time using the paid tiers for cloud storage would make or break this camera for some.

    I use this with HomeKit on my iPhone and Apple Watch and love it. The Logitech app is great as well and I really like their timeline they give you of the day. The hardware is also well-built and looks great.

    Like the camera, don't love. Criteria was it had to work with homekit, so options are limited. Works well, just disapointed that the monthly plan that includes "person detection" is so expensive for multiple devices. WAY OVERPRICED - if you don't need alerts and avoiding false alerts through people detection it's good.
