Unreliable, Poor Wifi Reception, Long Wake Time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy the wire-free Logitech Circle 2 camera. I've spent three frustrating months dealing with this unreliable product. Here are a few reasons to avoid it: 1) It regularly goes offline for minutes to hours with no indication why. This leaves critical gaps in coverage for any camera used to secure your home. Google this and you'll see how many owners are plagued with this inexplicable problem. 2) It takes an agonizingly long time to wake up from its lower power state and establish a live feed. This is because it stays in low power mode to save battery life. However, this means you'll never wake it in time to capture something important as it's happening. 3) Motion-triggered recordings always miss the first few moments of activity. This often results in missing critical video footage - leaving only the tail end. 4) WiFi reception is very poor. It shows a weak signal even within a few yards of an access point. 5) Mine finally went permanently offline and will not reset. Rather than waste hours of my life with Logitech support to replace a terrible product, I've decided to simply toss it in a box and chalk up the loss to poor research. I replaced it today with the Nest Cam Outdoor, and am already amazed at the improvement.

Dissapointed in this camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the first logi and was super great, heard was realeasing logi circle 2 and was super excited for outdoor feature, 1st problem, audio doesnnt sound good like the first logicircle 2nd. Takes too long for live view 3rd. The mount thing doesnt click on and glides down and too weak to hold camera And i already switched 3 cameras, very disappointed got my hopes on for nothing

Most versatile camera available now

Been using a M185 USB wireless mouse, C525 webcam and K480 Multi-Device Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard for several years. So there is confidence and experience in the brand. Setup was easy with a Nexus 6 Android phone. Also installed the Circle app on an Acer R11 Chromebook (Android ready) and pinned app to the shelf for easier/faster access to it. Firmware was updated after connecting to my Wi-Fi network so no worry about updates in the future. Also, the app was updated today. Someday I might mount it outdoors. There are other options such as wall outlet plug and rechargeable battery so it can be placed anywhere inside if I want to buy another camera. Did have to order the optional window mount to see outdoors. It’s needed to reduce glare and unwanted reflections. Well worth the $39.99 (not including sales tax) I paid for it. Suspect outdoor installation might be the best way to go tho. On free subscription now but person detection feature with the 30 day plan looks enticing. Smart Alert is a Gr8 feature. Very convenient. Check out the various accessories to expand the capabilities of the device.

Horrible product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera can’t get worse then this. What those people were thinking about when they made this camera. You have to charger it almost every 2 day. It barely records anything. Charger is 2 inch long, no joke. I paid more then 200$ dollars on this camera and it gives us so much stress. It always low on battery when I need to see how is my family while I am away. I wish I could return it, I do not have original box from it. I own 2 other kind of logi circle camera and love them, that is why I bought this one because Best Buy did not have old logi cameras. I never saw product regret that much

They actually said they are too busy for phone calls. I wasted $150+ dollars.

Very buggy - Terrible compared to Logi Alert Sys

Not reliable to use in a remote location and doesn't have simple ethernet or better yet, ethernet POE. The original Logitech Alert System blows this away, even though it's 10 years old and discontinued about 7 years ago. BIG mistake by Logitech..!!!
