Not for me
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was just not for me. I kept it a week and could NOT get used to it. My hands were never in the right place. I type very fast and am not used to looking at the keyboard...with this, I had to constantly look at the keyboard. In addition, the keyboard slopes DOWN at the back and there are no legs to lift it u p. The armrest at the front causes it to be even more sloped downward and ...it just wasn't for me. Returned.

Posted .Hello there, We're sorry to hear the Logitech ERGO K860 ergonomic keyboard wasn't a good fit for you. Finding the right keyboard layout can be personal, and it sounds like the split design and negative tilt took some getting used to. Thank you for your feedback about the hand placement, key visibility, and sloping design. We'll consider this feedback for future product development.

Great design, but absolutely awful performance
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great design, but absolutely awful performance. When you stop typing for a couple of minutes, the entire keyboard dies out and you need to randomly press keys repeatedly for 30 seconds for it to start functioning.

Not great if you don't touch type
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had some carpal tunnel-like symptoms, and tried this out to help. If you don't touch type (using four fingers on both hands), this can create additional strain. If you do touch type, I'm sure it's great.

This keyboard is poorly built.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like how this keyboard feels, but I've been through 4 of these keyboards in the last 2-3 years. It works fine, I leave it on my table overnight, I come home after work and sit down, and it stops working. I swap batteries, nothing. This has happened 4 times at this point. I highly recommend choosing another keyboard.

Very well thought out Bluetooth and USB Keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Logitech ERGO K860 is a well thought out and designed Bluetooth or USB wireless keyboard. Design The keys have a great feel and travel distance. It's not too noisy as you type. The key layout is good. Specifically, I'm glad it has a standard, full sized, inverted "T" arrow key layout as well as the standard, full-sized, layout for <insert>, <delete>, <home>, <end>, <page up>, and <page down>. There is storage in the battery compartment for the USB transceiver. The wrist rest is not removable but I like it so I don't mind that. It has three layers, one of which is memory foam. It also has three levels of height adjustment for the wrist rest side of the keyboard. No legs down, 7 degree legs down, or 4 degree legs down. There is a power switch in the middle of the back edge. Ergonomic Feel I do really like the feel of this keyboard. It's been a number of years since I used an ergonomic keyboard. The last one had a plastic wrist rest and it was impossible to adjust it so the wrist rest actually helped since the height adjustments were in the back instead of the front. With it in the front like on the ERGO K860 and a very comfortable wrist rest (three layers including some memory foam) it's not only usable but comfortable to use. I use a computer all day at work and it has been very comfortable for me to use. Software You can also use the free Logitech Options software to re-configure a number of keys to make them launch applications or perform other Windows functions on the PC. The function keys and a few others are customization. For instance, there's a <Lock> key but this can also be configured to shutdown Windows, put it to sleep, close a window, or copy something to the clipboard. There are more options than that and some keys will let you launch any program if you want. There's also a dedicated function lock toggle button on the keyboard. That's handy because sometimes I like things like media control and brightness to be readily available but other times I just want the function keys. Wireless This keyboard comes with a Logitech Unifying Remote USB transceiver. With that this keyboard will work with basically any computing device you have. Since it's a Unifying Remote, you can also pair other Logitech input devices with it, up to 6. I paired my Logitech mouse (not all support this, it needs to support the unifying remote and most that do come with one as well) with it so I can use one USB dongle for both the keyboard and the mouse. This keyboard also supports Bluetooth 5. I've tested the Bluetooth on a new Windows 10 laptop and a pretty new Android phone with Android 9 on it too. It works great with both of them. I've used it with the USB dongle on a few different devices, like another Windows laptop and a Chromebook for instance. I never noticed problems with the wireless or the reliability of the typed characters making it to the device. Not only that but the keyboard will pair with up to three devices at a time. There is a button on the keyboard to switch between each of the three devices with the press of a button. So you could do three Bluetooth, two Bluetooth and one USB, or whatever. I'm pretty sure that if you have two Unifying USB Remotes you could pair it to both at the same time and switch between them too. Battery Life Two years. That's TWO YEARS on two AA batteries! That's ridicules!!! It comes with two alkaline batteries. Cons The only negatives I can think of would be: 1. The break in the function keys is between F6 & F7 but I've never seen an ergonomic keyboard that has it between F4 & F5 and F8 & F9 like it should be. Most people probably don't care about this. It's rare that I do. 2. The keys are not back-lit but it's not a "gaming" keyboard and most laptops do have that if you really need it. Like I mentioned earlier, it's been a long time since I used an ergonomic keyboard. While my last experience wasn't bad this is much better! Excellent ergonomics, excellent features, and excellent design!

Best in class
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Working on a keyboard all day every day, I’ve tried pretty much every ergonomic keyboard that came out over the years. Once is always in use on my primary PC. The Ergo 850 has some definite advantages over the others I tried over the years. They keyboard layout is the best I’ve used. The reach for different keys is easy, none seem to be stretch. The keys have a similar feel and travel to most OEM keyboards that come with PC’s. The platform strong and stable, there is barely any flex when I push much harder than would ever do in normal use. In normal use, you will not find any flex as some other ergo keyboards have. At about 2.5 pounds with rubber feet, it’s stable and stays put. The padded palm rest is really comfortable. It looks like cloth, but more of a plastic, so it is easy to clean and should not stain easily. Amazing what a difference the soft pad makes over the hard plastic one. The pad is not removable, the base is one piece that supports the keyboard and pad. With the height of an ergo keyboard, removing it would not make sense. It might be my long fingers or just a bad hand placement I picked up over the years, but I wish the pad extended to the left a bit more as the outer edge of my left hand hangs on the edge of the pad. That’s my only gripe on the ergonomics, and it’s likely just my own. I’ve found that there is an adjustment period before you get used to it and can start typing fast again. Play with the palm rest, bring it up, it helps. Once you adjust, they are great. Going quickly between regular a keyboard and the Ergo layout always throws my muscle memory off for a bit till I re-adjust again. Setup is easy. The directions are right on the inside lid of the box when you open it up. Pull a tab from the batter compartment to connect the batteries. Then use the USB Unifying Receiver or Bluetooth and you working in just a minute or two. Connectivity is superb. The Ergo supports the Logitech Unifying Receiver that plugs into a USB slot so you can use it on most any PC, as I did on my desktop. If you already have one for a mouse or other device you can use it, no need to plug in a second one. If you don’t need it, there’s a spot to store it in the battery compartment so it does not get lost, should you need ever need it later on. This also supports low power Bluetooth, no dongle is needed. This is really nice if you have a laptop that tightly fits in a bag where USB plugs get in the way. I used this on my Dell Laptop with Bluetooth and it works well. It’s easy to switch between the two systems using a hotkey combo. You can use this with three devices. Your phone could be one. Press the key combo and respond to a text with a full keyboard, then quickly switch back. The Ergo connected easily with USB and Bluetooth. It never dropped or had any problem. The two AAA batteries it comes with should last 6 months. The keyboard has no backlight on the keys. If it did, the battery life would surely be impacted. There is no wire option, it’s strictly wireless. If you’ve never an ergo keyboard, it’s worth a try. Once you adjust, they are so much more comfortable and enable faster typing. If you’ve tried others in the past like me, I think you’ll find this one solves many of the issues you may have had with others. This is the best one I’ve used so far. My old one is in the yard sale bin, there’s no going back.

Great Ergonomic Keyboard!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am going to just give my take on this keyboard and then try to compare it to another Logi kb, the MX keys at the end (if you can make it lol) This Logi Ergo K860 like a lot of its current keyboards are very well built. The quality of parts seems to be very well done. I guess long term use will see how it holds up. The presentation was great. Very minimal and not too much paperwork that I don’t read. The quick install instructions are on the box and are very simple to follow. There is a battery compartment with pre installed batteries so that’s awesome. I already have Logitech products paired and with a unifying receiver so I just replaced the prior keyboard with this one and just simply added it to the Logitech software. The literature online states that the batteries should last two years. That’s great to know! There’s software notification of low battery as well as a led on the keyboard that can be activated with a dedicated battery button. Ok that’s pretty cool. And my favorite key on Logitech’s keyboard is the lock keyboard. I absolutely love this button! First off, the keyboard is overall large. Because of the built-in wrist rest, it’s almost double the size of my prior keyboard. This is an ergonomic keyboard, so I understand the design, just a little big personally. Ok I have to say I do like the layout and is very comfortable to type on. The cushion which is memory foam, is super comfy. The wrist rest is indeed large and comfortable. It is supposedly easy to clean as well. This is my second day with the keyboard, so I can’t really tell if cleaning will be easy or not. Also on the wrist rest are legs to prop up the keyboard to two heights, the shorter legs raise the wrist pad and keyboard 4 degrees and where the longer legs raise the keyboard 7 degrees. I do not have a stand up desk to test, but it’s great to know they are thinking that way. For my purposes, I am using neither legs and typing needs a little getting used to in touch typing from a normal layout. The keys are pretty quiet but they do echo a bit more than I would like. I think it’s because of the curve of the keyboard that lends to the amplified tunnel sounds of me typing away. Nothing too bad, but I do notice it. What I also like is the on screen notifications on certain things like caps or num locks as well as the low battery notification. What I don’t like about the keyboard? Well for starters the color is pretty drab grey. Nothing noteworthy there. Also I do not like the large real estate on my desk, but it’s a design thing with ergonomic devices. It’s just a little awkward. Also batteries, it needs batteries. Sure it lasts a whopping 2 years (stated by Logitech), but why not rechargeable via usb-c? I am going to continue to use this keyboard for the rest of the week, but I can see that I prefer the overall package of the Logitech MX Keys. This is meant more for standing desk users and people who need a wrist rest. The noisy keyboard kind of puts me off but it is super comfortable to use in the long run. Just some little things that make this a “no” for me personally. But I can totally see this being used for people who require ergonomic furniture. Would I recommend it? I would say yes if you are looking to replace an ergonomic keyboard if you are currently looking for an upgrade or replacement. As for me, I will going back to my prior keyboard.

Logitech ergonomic keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m used to Microsoft’s original. This one has a curve in the keys that don’t force your hands into the ergonomic position like Microsoft. As a result I’ve had way too mant typos that I never had with Microsoft keyboard. I was looking for the MS keyboard but it appears that their products are no longer available in my brick and mortar Best Buy. I would strongly recommend not to purchase this keyboard as it is not ergonomic and an expensive piece of junk. Logitech is not like it used to be. Quality has plummeted. Their 820e headset fell apart after 1.5 yrs as did their rechargeable keyboard that this was a replacement for.

Posted .Hello Photodoc,
Thank you for taking the time to review the K860 keyboard, I am sorry that you are not pleased with the design of the K860 keyboard. The K860 is the keyboard that I am currently using. Personally, I enjoy the design of this keyboard. K350 is another ergonomic keyboard option from Logitech, available at BestBuy. I hope we have an option that fits your preferences. If there is a specific Microsoft keyboard that you are looking for, this may still be available on BestBuy.com or through Best Buy customer service. If you have the model number, Best Buy customer service can further assist with current availability. Thank you for your feedback. Perhaps you will enjoy the K860 after becoming more familiar with the feel. For best experience, I recommend downloading the Logitech “Options” software for customization.

More comfortable keyboard
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard by Logitech is more comfortable than you might expect from its appearance. It looks distinctly different from the average keyboard, not rectangular nor flat. The keys are split and angled in such a way as to allow the user to have their hands in a more natural position, which reduces strain on hands, wrists, shoulders and even the back, since the upper body can be more relaxed and use better posture while typing. When you're on the computer a lot, you get used to using the keyboard and ignore that it's not a natural position, which often leads to problems like carpal tunnel syndrome, or just pain or discomfort if you're sitting in that position for a while. There is an adjustment period as you learn to use this keyboard, but it's worth it to try out. And you don't have to already have a problem to want an ergonomic setup. Logitech also has an ergonomic vertical mouse that goes perfectly with this. The wrist rest is built in, rather than a separate piece. It's soft to the touch but still firm for support. I've used one that's memory foam, and this one is actually more comfortable over time. Instead of feet at the back, this device has 2 sets under the front, which gives you the option of to adjust the height of the front of the keyboard, for additional wrist support if needed. I had it in my lap for a while but it's meant to be on a surface. Because it's wireless, you can sit farther back from the screen It comes with a USB receiver for connecting with a computer, but it can be stored in the battery compartment if Bluetooth connectivity is utilized instead. It connects easily with either one, and then it prompts you to install software. This contains information about programming the function keys, unless the user chooses to keep them as the traditional F keys. It also guides you through some of the other features, and how to switch devices. It can connect with up to three different devices. It has the usual keyboard layout with the numeric keypad on the right. It's compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows, iOS, and android. It is wireless, with no option to connect with a cable, and it not rechargeable. It takes AAA batteries, and one could use rechargeable batteries, but this device claims that battery life is very long anyway. I've only been using this a few days, so I can't tell if that will be a problem later on. There is an on/off switch, would can conserve battery life. I had no problems with this keyboard. I had to adjust to the angle on the keys, and would hit some keys wrong, but once I adjusted to it, I was able to type with my normal speed and accuracy. Each day the adjustment period is shorter-day three was brief. Now I want one for my office, because that one is harder to use when this one feels so much better to use. It's light enough to take with you, but is a little too big to be portable. It takes up a bit more space on the desk, but it's more room for your arms while using the keyboard in a more natural position. I recommend this for anyone who spends time using a keyboard.
