Just another trackball

I regularly use an MX Ergo, which is many times better then the M575 but also much more expensive. I bought the M575 to use with a laptop thinking it would be more portable. Its lighter, but only slightly smaller than an MX. The scroll wheel has some issues. Not sure if its driver related or the wheel is just broken on mine but it regularly acts as a "back" button rather than scrolling. There are better cheap trackball options.

I would recommend downloading our Logitech Options software here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025297893 to reconfigure the scroll wheel. If this doesn't help, I would recommend reaching out to our support team here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000621393 to file a warranty claim. Not responsive and slow

Con: Trackball is not sensitive no matter how I customize the setting. Very slow movement across the screen especially when you have a large monitor. Not recommended for video editor, sound mixer, gamer and anyone who needs high precision or fast response. I like all the previous Logitech mice I bought (4 total), but this M575 mouse is the first and only one going back to BB. I end up buying a Kensington Trackball mouse which is excellent.

Logitech offers a free software, Logitech Options, that allows you to customize the features on the mouse including DPI that can increase the speed that the cursor moves across the screen. I have been using one for years and will never go back to a regular mouse. It is also pretty easy to clean if the ball gets dirty.

Unfortunately I could see that it might actually cause future problems rather than fixing current ones. You can only move the mouse with the thumb ball it might be better if you at least had the option to move both ways. It def takes some getting used to but by end of day my hand was hurting. I decided to return. For reference I have minor carpal tunnel and “tennis elbow”

Another option we have which you may prefer is the MX Vertical mouse: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitech-mx-vertical-advanced-wireless-optical-mouse-with-ergonomic-design-graphite/6282602.p?skuId=6282602 - This would be our other top ergonomic mouse, however this one you would move around like a traditional computer mouse instead of the trackball for your thumb. It is strange at first, and it took me a few days to get used to, but it is now my personal favorite and there is no going back for me. - Will, Logitech.

They call it "ergonomic" that ain't what I've been calling it! Note to Logitech: start making your original trackball again, PLEASE!

Posted .Understandably, the thumb-operated trackball on the Logitech Ergo M575 might not be to everyone's liking. Different people have different preferences when it comes to input devices, and what works for one person might not work for another.

Easier than a regular mouse. I'm on my third one now. Hope they continue to make it. It should be cheaper though.
