    Excellent headset

The Logitech G430 headset is a fantastic choice. Amazing sound, a flexible microphone boom that can be moved out of the way, comfortable to wear, sturdy construction and all while remaining under $100. The only thing that I don't like is that the headset does not cancel out all other external sound. While this may not matter to some people, those who want the experience of complete immersion, external sound is a problem. That being said external sounds are dampened and muffled quite considerably. You will be hard pressed to find better quality sound output even in much more expensive headsets. The G430 delivers rich 7.1 simulated surround sound, you will hear sounds as if they are in front of you, behind you, to the either side, above you, below you, and any combination. For example you will hear the helicopter coming in from the top right front, cries for help from the front bottom left and a rifle being fired behind you while bullets whiz past your head...ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Of course to experience that sort of sound your media has to provide 7.1 channel sound. The G430 headset is made of durable plastic, comfortably padded over-ear speakers and headband. The headband itself also has wide metal extenders that provide a beefy sense of quality. One of the best features of the G430 is often overlooked, the wire has the typical rubber coating of any wired headset that can separate due to over extension causing a short in sound reception or delivery through the microphone. Logitech takes durability a step further by sheathing the wire in a woven/braided fabric cover that minimizes if not prevents the stretching of the wire, virtually eliminating the wire short out problem that most other wired headsets have. Speaking of wire the G430 has a very long cord with in-line volume control as well as mute switch for the microphone. Also the G430 can be used either with the dual audio in/out jacks or with the provided USB jack adapter. I prefer the audio jacks so that I have one less peripheral taking up a USB port. I paid $77.99 plus tax for my Logitech G430 headset which is a stunningly low price for the quality. I've seen and used far inferior headsets that were more expensive and none that are less expensive come close to the quality of the Logitech G430. Also it comes with a limited TWO YEAR warranty, I personally purchased the 2 year comprehensive Geek Squad warranty just for my own peace of mind. Even with the extra warranty my total was less than $100 you just can't beat that. Would I recommend this product to a friend? All day, everyday. If you're looking for a quality headset that delivers amazing sound for less than $100 you can't go wrong with the Logitech G430. If your budget is between $50 - $100 get the Logitech G430, most wired gaming headsets start at around $50 and go up from there. Why not pay a little more for the G430 and get the sound quality you're looking for? Why pay more and get disappointed?

Are you looking for a headset that provides comfort for up to multiple hours at a time? How about a headset that not only has great sound and voice recognition but helps cancel out all other outside noise and distractions so you can focus when it really matters? I often found myself not able to properly hear my teammates in game, or not being able to easily communicate due to my poor microphone, however, with the Logitech - G430 Over-the-Ear Gaming Headset, I was finally able to step up my game and hear all audio in surround sound as well as communicate clearly and effectively to my teammates with the noise cancelling microphone. I have owned this specific headset since January 2014, and so far is has definitely been one of the better computer peripherals I have purchased. Advantages: The Logitech - G430 Over-the-Ear Gaming Headset is made of a sturdy and durable, yet light weight plastic and metal that provides comfort through long use sessions. The padding around the ear phones and the top of the headset is soft and made of a comfortable cloth material that is removable and washable in order to keep your headset nice and clean. The wires are surrounded by a tough mesh material that prevents tangling and tearing, and also has an on-cable volume and microphone control. The sound quality is amazing as it uses Dolby 7.1 surround sound in order to really immerse you in any game setting. The ear cups fit snugly to your head in order to prevent any outside noise from interfering with your audio. These headphones were definitely my saving grace when it came to clear and crisp audio as well as comfort. Disadvantages: Like many technology products there are some distinct disadvantages. A disadvantage of this product is that for individuals that wear glasses like myself it does not always fit properly and may sometimes press your glasses down roughly into the bridge of your nose at first. After a few months of use this stopped occurring as the foam ear pads formed to the placement of my glasses. Many other product reviewers have stated how frail and flimsy the plastic material is, however, I have not experienced this in the year and a half that I have owned this product. If you take great care of this headset and do not overly stretch the ear cups the plastic should remain intact. If you are looking for an affordable headset that is comfortable, durable, and offers great sound and voice quality than this is the product you are looking for. There are very similar products that offer these same exact benefits, however, I find this one to be the best in terms of what you will be spending.

Very good headset at a very good price point. It is not perfect, but the imperfections lie more with the firmware/software than with the hardware. PROS: - VERY COMFORTABLE the cloth cover of the ear pads felt great. The clamp force is just right. The material on the cups feels great. They are very breathable, they do not feel warm or hot, and they will not make your ears sweat. The foam is okay, other much more expensive headsets have softer foams. - Very long braided blue cord terminating in 3.5mm jacks (it does come with a USB plug). The cord is thin and very soft, but feels very premium, high quality and strong. In addition, it comes with a Velcro strap that you can use to organize the cord. - The virtual surround sound delivers on its promise. This will up your game if your system supports Dolby 7.1 or virtual surround sound. I have been playing various games and the positional/directional sound support is so beautiful and immersive. CAVEAT: you need to install the bloated Logitech gaming software + you need to use the included usb sound card for virtual surround sound to work but more on that later - Noise reduction on the mic is great. Headsets that are more expensive have those bendable mics and stuff - this does not, and I like it that way. It feels very futuristic and sturdy. I recorded myself sitting beside an electric fan and when I listened to the recording, I could not even hear the fan but my voice was very loud and clear. Very happy about this - comes with 3.5mm analog mic and headset jacks. Perfect for when you just need stereo sound and you cannot be bothered with USB CONS: - WILL NOT WORK ON USB 3.0 ports! Believe me; I spent four agonizing hours trying to figure out why my mic would not work properly and why the drivers kept crashing my desktop. Logitech tech support on their official forums was no help. Out of sheer frustration, I finally stumbled on the solution - I decided to try switching my connection from my USB 3.0 port to my USB 2.0 port and made the headset the primary and it suddenly worked perfectly. - Logitech Gaming Software the only reason to install this is if you absolutely need 7.1 virtual surround sounds. SUMMARY: GET THIS HEADSET. It would be a steal at this price if only Logitech would become organized and update the firmware to work with USB 3.0. Other than that, this headset is near perfect.

I purchased this headset in April 2017. They have been an amazing headset up until the point when the bracket that holds the left speaker to the headband broke (an issue that many others have had as I have come to find out). The sound quality was awesome and the mic was very clear. Just this month, the headband bracket took a dive and made the headset unwearable - BUT Logitech has a 3 year warranty =) After a short discussion with Logitech's support line and emailing a picture of the broken part, they are sending me a free replacement. Logitech's warranty customer service is hands down the BEST that I have ever had to deal with. (Note: the support website was down, so I called in to their tech line, and they took care of it for me from there.) So All-in-all: Is it a great headset for the money? Yes. Is it a bummer that the bracket broke? Yeah. Do I feel I've wasted my $40? Absolutely Not. If you have this headset, or are thinking of buying them, just keep an eye on the plastic bracket. Once it starts to show signs of fatigue, contact Logitech Support and get your free replacement =) These headsets are still available to purchase in-store today. Don't fear the possible (probable) breakage. Logitech stands behind their products.

    Terrible build quality

I went over tons of reviews before choosing this product over a different gaming headset. Seemed to be the best possible headset based on quality vs cost. I knew before purchasing it that others had problems with the bracket that connects the headpiece to the headband and the bracket would break making it impossible to use after that. I thought, hey, maybe if I treat it like a glassboned baby it'll last for a real long time. Wrong. Bracket broke like tons of others have and now i'm out 40 something bucks. I leave it resting on a custom built stand to make sure it's always being taken care of,I couldn't possibly have babied it anymore. I put it on today and as the headphones adjusted to my head, the bracket broke into about 6 pieces and there is no possible way of fixing it. Despite them now being useless,I really loved them up until this point. The sound was AMAZING and made all of my games much more enjoyable with the surround sound. Could drop a pin in any direction and you could pinpoint exactly where it fell with the headphones. The mic wasn't bad either,it allowed for recordings without any issues. The braided cable is super tough and doesn't kink up which was a plus. If only the brackets that held the headphones together weren't so useless, otherwise this would be a perfect set of gaming headphones. Buy at your own risk.

An Averge Headset with Subpar Qualities

I decided to purchase a pair of these because the pick-up on my 3.5 jacks is low on my ASUS motherboard and I had seen this headset worn in a Twitch stream by Bioware employees where it appeared to have a good mic sound. I needed a relatively decent USB headset and the ratings on this one were generally good. I ran into several issues. The drivers from Logitech failed to properly download for Windows 10, until I found them elsewhere on the Logitech site ( the file they had loaded on the headset page itself, for Windows 10 64-bit, was the wrong file.) The headset itself is cheap and overpriced for what it is, and it shows, and feels it. Light plastic with hard "cloth" plastic mesh ear cups that for some reason are square instead of round, and block out almost no external noise, and I did not find them particularly comfortable. At first, the microphone sounded awful, skipping in and out, requiring I download a firmware update from Logitech, and then update the driver software, which involved plugging and unplugging the USB multiple times, and configuring Windows 10 sound options. (Sidebar - If anyone with a Realtek driver is reading this, I advise removing the Realtek drivers and using the default WIndows 10 sound options, then whatever software you want - in this case Logitech.) You will also need to disable to microphone output through the headset options unless you want to hear every breath you take. While this is a good option for those doing voiceover while playing, the white noise it produces is excessive. With software and firmware both up to date, and without other drivers (Realtek) interfering, I was finally able to achieve good mic and decent sound. However, the constant creaking of the cheap plastic headset and the rubbing of the cloth cord against any surface was so loud and disruptive that I couldn't continue to use them. Further, the USB produced uneven sound between left and right ears, causing me to go into Windows and adjust the balance, there. I can't speak to the 7.1 Dolby Surround emulator because I dislike the echo-effect it produces and prefer to leave such things up to the game software itself, so I did not use it. If you are a casual gamer unconcerned with things like white noise static, uncomfortable ear cups, cheap build materials, and problematic software, but you have to have a blue and black headset, this could be for you. Instead, I would recommend the Kingston HyperX Cloud, which is a far superior headset (in both USB and Analog varieties) for slightly more money.

For a little over a year I had been using a Turtle Beach X12 headset, until one day my dog messed up the microhpone cord and I could no longer use my mic to communicate when I was talking to my friends, gaming, etc. I decided to head to BestBuy to buy a replacement pair when I decided to look at some other options. I looked for awhile and was about to buy the X12 when I saw the G430 on display. I put it on and listened for a few moments until I heard some loud yelling behind me (it was playing a Borderlands 2 sound demo). I jumped and turned because I thought somebody in the store was actually yelling at me. As soon as I realized it was just the headphones, I made the decision that I was buying the G430. Everything works well and is comfortable. My friends never have any problems hearing me through the mic, and I never have problems hearing anything through the headset. I love the surround sound, on these, it adds a new layer to gaming (especially with atmospheric or horror games) and it has given me the advantage many times when playing games online (such as Battlefield). I also find them comfortable enough to not have any issues while wearing for long stretches of time when I'm talking to my friends, which is a nice contrast to the X12 which would give me a headache after awhile. I personally don't have any complaints about the product, it always works 100% and I couldn't be happier with it.

Perfect for long hours of gaming

As a 14 year old gamer, I've had this headset for about half a year now, and it's still doing good to this day. Lets start with the box. It made a good impression on first glance, with the fancy x-ray of half of the headset. Inside the box is the headset, manual, and USB Audio Card. To start using it was very easy. Just plug it in to your audio ports, or if you want the 7.1 surround, use the USB audio card. The software is... not bad. It crashes sometimes on Windows 8 x64 Bit. Without the software running, you can NOT use the 7.1 surround sound. The UI for the software is good enough for beginners like me. Now to the headset itself. It feels quite nice, and it doesn't feel like bricks on your head when you're using for long hours. The pads are like memory foam (Excuse my english, it an't good, since I speak russian) and they are covered with a mesh that feels nice. The mesh makes it a breathable headset, so not a lot of sweat will build up. The pads are removable so they are easy to wash. The cable is VERY long, though this could get annoying at times. The sound quality is nice since it has 7.1 surround on it. Mic quality is pretty good since I use it for my YouTube videos, though I plan on using a different mic soon. Overall this headset is very good for long hours of gaming, its 7.1 surround sound, and how good it feels on your head. 4/5

Hey Guys, The headset is awesome, definitely worth the money. sound quality is 7/10 comfort 7/10 construction 8/10 Now lets get into the details of those ratings! Sound quality is a huge factor when buying a headset, #duh! This headset here is a great entry level headset bought this for my GF, when i first got her; her PC. Was't looking to spend a lot incase she wasn't a gamer but wanted to make the experience decent enough she could really find out. This headset did just that, works well sound is okay not as direction as higher end headsets but for the price can't be beat. Overall sound is good enough for a entry level headset and is not an award winner but that was to be expected. Comfort is literally the second most important thing for me when purchasing a headset, this one does it alright. They are comfortable for a couple hours then you can really feel the pressure points. However for the price point its nothing i would let deter me from purchasing this head set, just something to be conscious of. The construction is mediocre at best, however its not this headsets fault its just how Logitech builds them now a days. However we have had this for awhile now and not a single issue has occurred! Overall i'd say its great for the price point but there are definitely other options to consider but they are much higher in price than these! I would buy them again and recommend them to a friend! -IceDelnorte

Pros: Surround Sound Works - I had to get use to the placement of the sounds because I kept turning my physical head towards it to better hear it. Of course this did not work. Fits my big head - I have problems with hats and other headsets fitting my head, but these worked fine. Just for reference, I can just barely wear the Playstation Gold headset and even then they sit wrong. Two Years and going - They are pretty much under constant use, though I am pretty gentle when handling them. Note: The only spot to watch is the swivel portion of the headset. Feels cheap, but haven't had any problems with it. Mic - Works well with good voice pickup and noise cancelling. Sounds natural. The voice monitoring works well, but once in a great while it cuts out. Nothing a software restart can't fix. Cons: Headband - That blue support band took FOREVER to break in. Took around a month, but it felt longer with how much it hurt my head. Mind you, I was wearing it for 5 or more hours on end. Now that it is broken in I love it. Max Volume - I would recommend not using these with the analog dial set to max. Notch it down a little. This is because of the static the headset makes when Maxed out. Really annoying, but easily fixed. Neutral: The length of the cord is insanely long. I can see how this might annoy some people.

I want to preface this review by mentioning that I only paid $40 for this item. It was on sale at the time I purchased it. I wanted to get a communication headset that would be comfortable to wear and reasonably priced. Voice Quality: Microphone is sensitive enough to pick up whispers and will only buzz at the loudest screams I could produce. Everything else is clear if not a little fuzzy. You shouldn't expect studio-quality audio capturing, but it is decent for communicating with your friends. Driver and Sound Output: This headset is pretty powerful when connected to a PC. It doesn't have an amplifier, so this would not be suitable for areas with lots of background noise or if you need your volume cranked up in order to hear it. I live in a quiet environment and usually will only put the volume up to 50% at the most. Sound quality is crisp and clear with a lot of range. Deep bass and crisp highs like you would expect from headphones of this size. Quality and Feel: These headphones give me the impression of being reasonably built, but not of excessive quality. For example, my pair can squeak occasionally while I'm adjusting them, something my friend's turtle beach headphones do not do (but they did cost more). For the most part the body is made of plastic. The headband is the exception. The metal band is exposed by adjusting the length of the headband. Also, I occasionally get a warning message from Windows 10 saying that it had issues with the built-in audio enhancements for this headset. I do have the Logitech Gaming application, but do not have any special settings for it. I did not get this message before I got that software.

Before I get into this, let me just say: I bought this on sale, for $50. I wasn't expecting too much from a $50 7.1 headset, but I was pleasantly surprised. Pros: -Sound quality is pretty good, for a non-amplified headset. -It is incredibly comfortable once you get the foam broken in. -The Surround Sound capability is almost spot-on, which is great since it's Virtual. -The microphone is "uni-directional," which basically means each side of the mic will pick up sound. Nice thing is though, is it's noise-cancelling. -The headband is made of a fairly thick metal, which will greatly increase the durability of the headset, and also keeps it planted to your head a bit better. -Look great...I mean, VERY great. Cons: -The mids and bass are a bit lacking, but that's to be expected from an unamplified headset. -The USB dongle/sound-card can cause some serious problems at times...and for an audiophile, it's no fun. Sound isn't consistent. -Previously mentioned USB dongle is REQUIRED for Virtual 7.1 Surround. -Isn't True Surround, but it was under $80 (even before the sale) Overall: I gotta say...for the price I paid, I got ALOT. When Surround Mode is activated in the software Logitech directs you to download, you can pretty easily pinpoint where enemies are coming from. The sound, although lacking a bit, is still quite powerful and clear despite not being amplified via USB. The microphone is alot better than my previous headset's (Turtle Beach X12), and cancels out quite alot of "ambient noise." If you're looking for a relatively cheap, well-rounded headset, I'd definitely recommend the Logitech G430.

I bought these during a sale. They're a fairly good pair of gaming headsets that fully cover the ears and have a microphone. Nothing to write home about though. FIT: I would say I have a roundish head instead of a long face. The headphones fit me fine. EARPIECES: There are fabric covers over the earpieces so you can remove them in order to clean them if they get dirty. My friend has the same pair and he says it gets hot with his ears fully covered, but it's fine for me. TOP BAR: I'm referring to the connecting piece between the 2 earpieces. I noticed that if I wear the headphones for a long time (over a few hours), I'll experience some minor pain at the top of my head. I think that's due to the "bar" resting on top of my head so that all the weight is pushing down on top of my head. I think I'll just need to adjust the fit in the future. MICROPHONE: The microphone will do a satisfactory job, assuming you're not a pro-gamer (and really, if you're reading this, you're not a pro-gamer). It does a fairly good job of being unidirectional and only picking up my voice. However, I can hear my friend typing on his mechanical keyboard when he uses this headset. To be fair, we didn't use any Logitech software to try to customize the setup. CONNECTION: This has the standard 3.5mm plugs for speaker and microphone. The box comes with an adapter to convert these 2 plugs into a USB connection, if you need that to connect to your PC (and maybe console?). CONCLUSION: I'm not sure if this item is worth full MSRP because you might be able to get an excellent headset for a few more dollars above MSRP. However, I would definitely recommend this headset if it's on sale for a beginner gamer since you should mainly be using your gaming dollars for more games or better graphics card/CPU/memory.

So as a previous owner of the Logitech 930s, the G430s matches up to its senior competitor. My opinion about this item is that if you are looking for a cheap, comfortable, and best quality headset budget money can buy I highly recommend this headset. Easy to install and ready for gaming in seconds. Pros: Compared to the 930s its equivalent in sound and they both offer 7.1 Surround Sound. Unlike the 930s they are wired but I highly recommend wired headsets anyways because the 930s wireless aspect feature gave me so many issues of it disconnecting multiple times that it got frustrating powering back on the headsets, However the 430s are wired and give no issues like that at all. The comfort bands on the headsets earphones and headrest are still as comfortable as the 930s. Cons: There are only 3 cons I found so far that come along with headsets. Like most wired headsets the wire tangles up pretty easily. The second issue, I dislike is that with you raise the mic all the way up, the mic is still on, unlike the 930s when you lifted the mic all the way up it muted itself. However the 430s does come with a mini sound adjuster to mute or raise the volume. My final con about this item is the feedback the mic/headphones produce, I noticed that if i raise my mic levels to the max I head my own voice feedback through the headphones which got really annoying really quick however is easily fixed by readjusting the mic levels through the properties. Even with those cons I still recommend the headset for the budget gamer. Honestly I'm loving the headsets better than the G930s and for the price and 2-year warranty its a great deal!

I recently purchased a new Samsung Galaxy s9 plus, and knew I had to buy a higher quality headset to play games like Player Unknowns Battlegrounds and Modern Combat 5. I watched countless reviews for headsets from respected youtubers. After days of review binging, I came to the conclusion that Logitech gaming headsets were the most bang for your buck. I just couldn't decide between the red G230 or the blue G430. I visited Best Buy, and was very impressed by the customer service that was provided. I asked an onslaught of questions, and finally determined that the surround sound G430 was the right choice. I went out to my vehicle, and immediately opened the product, (which was nicely packaged to begin with) plugged it into my phone using the 3.5 mm adapter that is included, (One of my questions for that poor associate...) and was blown away on every aspect. The quality of the sound, and the volume was amazingly sharp. I played Pubg mobile that same night, with maximum volume, (on both phone and headset) and could hear footsteps from an exact degree of position. If you are looking to purchase a quality headset for under $60, I would strongly suggest this masterpiece from Logitech. I would also suggest Best Buy and your retailer, for their professional service.

    Not true surround Headphones.

If you're buying these thinking somehow they produce a true 5.1/7.1 sound field you'd be in for a surprise. These headphones like so many these days use software to emulate surround sounds and do it fairly poorly. I've heard many sound cards that do the same thing with software and a cheap pair of headphones put out a better surround sound experience . The only thing I can stress is these headphones are useless without the software and are a "stereo" headset the same as it's cheaper brother the G230. The drivers/software have minor conflicts with Win 8 that Logitech knows about but does nothing about? The issues are not huge or game breaking, but could cause issues for some with Win 8 and other software, or issues with Windows itself you're not aware of that stem from this badly written software. These are really a decent set of phones that are comfortable for long gaming sessions but Logitech marketing these as surround headphones is an outright lie. Save yourself the money if all you want is a surround set of phones and use the built in surround features that come with every sound card these days . This is a new low even for Logitech and is something I'd expect more from Creative than these guys! So to some it up, these are "not" surround headphones , they are stereo headphones with badly written software that is supposed to mimic surround, and again, every blasted sound card these days has Dolby Headphone or some sort of surround feature that is usually better or just as good as what these do.

I've had this head set for around 3-4 years and let me tell you, I signed up just so I could right a review of it. So after 3-4 years of me not treating this headset with any respect what so ever whats wrong with it? The audio adjust slider needs to be at the right volume to have sound come out of both ears. If I have the slider to high or to low it sound might only come out of 1 ear or be louder or quieter in one ear. And the microphone stem piece broke, keep in mind I have slammed this headset down out of frustration ran over the wires with my chair (on accident of course) dropped my headset, smacked it, ect. the microphone still works its just suspended by the wire and I use electrical tape to mend the break but those are the only things wrong with it. Pros +Very comfortable compared to other headsets, the ear cans go all the way around your ears + The microphone quality is pretty solid and doesn't pick up on back round noise. A vacuum can be close by and you can't hear it + super durable I have beaten on this thing for years + Cheap 49.99? pfft they could easily get $100 + for these + You can't hear anything going on around you (mostly) it definitely helps immerse you in the gaming world. Cons + They get dirty pretty fast + My pair seem to be pretty quiet if you like to listen to very loud music + I've had to mess around in the audio device manager to get these to work 11/10 this headset is incredible am going to pick up a pair of G930s but if I don't like them I will just get another pair of G430s

over all it is a great headset. i recently switched from a turtle beach px3 which is also a good headset but cheap materials went into that one. this logitech set isnt as loud as turtle beach but the quality is much better. now if you want this to hear the footsteps coming up behind you it will take more tweaking with the equalizer. seeing as how there are no presets buttons you will have to play with the equalizer. on top of that there are no saves to you have to adjust each time you change games or want to hear something else. now this is a ,mixed blessing. i believe it is more useful since you fine tune it more than other headsets. the usb dongle it comes with is required to install the drivers. it is not necessary to use it but you will need it for the initial install and then if you want to use dolby digital. the program that will run in the taskbar while using this product will sometimes mess up and only show half of the window. close it form the taskbar and restart. i also use a logitech g600 mmo gaming mouse that coexists in this program so i can control all my logitch devices in one program, definitely useful. this i believe is worth the price. all products will have some issues but i believe these are trivial or negligible if you will. games tested this headset with: BF3, witcher 2, eve online, WoW, also used with teamspeak and ventrilo works well with all

Poor excuse for a "Gaming" headset

A gaming headset should have 3 key things. Comfort, good sound, and a good mic. This has none of them. Let's start with comfort. It does fit nicely over your ears, even slightly larger ones like mine (that's where the one start comes in). After that, it's down hill. The sport active material for the head band and ear cups does help to keep your ears from getting hot and sweaty, but the material is itchy and not very soft. Also, the headband is somewhere around 3 inches thick, but the padding on it is only about one inch thick. As such, the weight of the headset is concentrated on that thin strip of padding, causing head pain after only about an hour of use. Now sound. It's terrible. I had my volume completely maxed out and it was still not at a high enough level. My $20 8 year Plantronics headset has better sound than these. The surround sound is nice, but what's the point if you can't hear it. Now for the mic. This is also terrible. It does not auto mute when it is folded, and if you turn the surround sound on, it will pic up any and all ambient noise to the point where it drowns out any sound from your game. There is no update to fix this. Logitech's solution is to go into your control panel and mute the mic. That's not a solution. that's just disabling an important feature for a gaming headset. I have a logitech gaming mouse that I have been using for over 8 years and I paid $30 for it. I was expecting at least the same level of quality from a more expensice piece of equipment, but no. Do not buy this. Look into the g35 or g930 or perhaps a plantronics headset.

    WORKS GREAT FOR PLAYSTATION 4!!!

I was immediately concerned when I bought this headset because the girl at the store said that the mic and headphone were in the same cord. I was planning on hooking it up to the PS4 controller like the headset that came with the PS4 system. I was about to pack it up and return it and then I took a shot and hooked up the 2 cords to the USB and then stuck it in the front of the PS4 and was like "what the heck maybe it will work" and it works perfectly! Furthermore, it hooks up plug and play with the PS4 and it doesn't put strain on the batery of the controller running directly into the system. VERY happy with this purchase they look amazing as well and like I said they are probably the most comfortable feeling on the ears I've ever felt on a gaming headset (especially for under 100 bucks) Great buy, I guess you could say it's the "Best" buy? rofl corny puns aside, I highly recommend this product.
