    Poor Quality Garbage

Out of the box sound volume was never loud enough to satisfy. Cheap plastic hinges broke within 3 months, had to tape them together. Limped along with taped up headphones until the cable went out and they became a static-y mess. I didn't get the protection plan, and I regret it. Do Not buy these, and if you do make sure to get the insurance protection you'll need it.

I have no idea if the mic works because the adapter does not work so the whole headset does not work for me. Been on the phone for 15 minutes now, no luck. Sigh.

    High Quality Sound for price

I had purchased the Razer Tiamat 2.2 headset, and was happy with the bass, but the sound seemed right on my ears (if that makes any sense!). The set fit too snug on my head and made my ears hot. I had used the Carcharias from Razer as well, and they were very comfortable, but lacked the surround. This is easily the most comfortable headset I've ever used, with easily the best fidelity. The cloth ear covers allow for extended use with low heat buildup. The sound is very spacious and the separation of low frequency from high frequency is excellent. The addition of 3.5mm jacks allows me to plug into my X-Fi soundcard for extra volume, as the USB adapter sound output is lower in volume for music than I would like. The volume in gaming is spot on, and the 7.1 surround is very nice. The LFE on 7.1 is fantastic! The fella who says these don't work with voip is dead wrong - he's got a USB problem. I will be buying another pair for my son - these are mine!

I love the headset (price, color scheme, quality) BUT it has no mac compatibility so the 7.1 surround sound can NOT be used you only get to use the headset in stereo mode.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. The sound quality was poor so I sent her to the store to return them with the recite. Best buy in Eau Claire, WI would not let her exchange them and was rude to her. Now I have headphones that can't be used and I'm out the money. I was going to by a Mac laptop for my daughter for her graduation from Best Buy but not anymore.

Great but a couple things to consider

So here is some things to consider. At first I did not like the volume on these for my PS4 even all the way up on high they just were ok. Make sure the volume settings on the ps4 are all the way up. Then put up the volume all the way up in the game settings as well, this will optimize the sound for ps4. If you are still not happy with the sound there is one more option to consider that I have not seen others do yet. Today I decided to pull out my old FiiO E6 headphone amplifier which I bought several years ago for a pair of Seinheiser's I had. It made the sound a lot better. Not only did it make it a little more louder but the quality of the sound was improved as well. I'm not sure what sort of brands or amplifiers are out but I'm sure there are some affordable choices out there. It takes this 59.00 dollar headphones to a new level bringing them closer to the sound quality of the higher end options at a fraction of the cost. Now for PC these are great the amplifier is not necessary but you can still use them if you'd like, I feel light amplifiers help improve bass anyway (of course if you like bass).

This headset looks good on specs and price but nothing works. The microphone is crap, the drivers are no good, and the software leaves a lot to be desired. Even the firmware update locks up. This is an absolute piece of garbage. Save your money and buy anything else. Even the button for muting the microphone is garbage but you won't ever use that button because the microphone is beyond trash.

I had this headset for only 8mos, & the mute toggle switch broke, rendering the mic useless. The mic, when it did work, had noise cancelling built-in, but it did a very poor job & kept making my voice cut in & out, which my friends always complained about. The headset in general is cheaply made. I would avoid this completely, & just pay more for a better headset like a HyperX

Perfect for long hours of gaming

As a 14 year old gamer, I've had this headset for about half a year now, and it's still doing good to this day. Lets start with the box. It made a good impression on first glance, with the fancy x-ray of half of the headset. Inside the box is the headset, manual, and USB Audio Card. To start using it was very easy. Just plug it in to your audio ports, or if you want the 7.1 surround, use the USB audio card. The software is... not bad. It crashes sometimes on Windows 8 x64 Bit. Without the software running, you can NOT use the 7.1 surround sound. The UI for the software is good enough for beginners like me. Now to the headset itself. It feels quite nice, and it doesn't feel like bricks on your head when you're using for long hours. The pads are like memory foam (Excuse my english, it an't good, since I speak russian) and they are covered with a mesh that feels nice. The mesh makes it a breathable headset, so not a lot of sweat will build up. The pads are removable so they are easy to wash. The cable is VERY long, though this could get annoying at times. The sound quality is nice since it has 7.1 surround on it. Mic quality is pretty good since I use it for my YouTube videos, though I plan on using a different mic soon. Overall this headset is very good for long hours of gaming, its 7.1 surround sound, and how good it feels on your head. 4/5
