I tried these at PAX East 2013 and have been waiting for their release since April. I use headsets all day long and when I get home I want to put on a comforable pair of 7.1 surround speakers and just play video games. These deliver! I can wear them for hours at a time with no issue (old logitech's were made from plastic ear cups and hurt after an hour) My ONLY observation is a pair of Turtle Beachs I use at work are much louder. Loud doesn't mean more quality, but some people might want that. The Logitech G430 blow my work headset out of the water when it comes to audio quality and so far the surround works great in Defiance, Warface, Neverwinter, SMITE, League, and Guild Wars 2

I just bought these because my Turtle Beach's gave out on me. Anyways I've been wearing them for over 5 hours playing Battlefield 3 and I don't even know that they are there. They fit on my head and ears very nicely and are not tight at all. The sound quality on them is great. I'm running them in 7.1 threw my sound card and WOW can you hear everything very clearly. The mic also sounds very good. I always have a fan pointed at me when I play and you don't hear any wind noise threw it which is great. I do not use the USB sound card it came with because I have a ASUS sound card and I found the sound was a little better threw it due to the fact I can really fine tune with software but the USB card it comes with is still pretty good. I would have to say my only complaint is the blue cord. It looks kind of goofy but I really don't care. Also the cord is very long and for some it could be annoying with getting caught up in your computer chair and run over. My simple fix was to run the cord threw the same hole on my desk that my keyboard cord goes threw. Don't let the cord discourage you from buying this headset because it is an amazing headset and well worth the money.

I got this headset coming from using a pair of turtlebeach xl1s with a janky adapter for a pc which had worked but I had no microphone. Then, about a year after I got my pc I thought that it was about time to upgrade, so I got these in hopes that they would be as amazing as I thought they would be. Even just from when I had first plugged in the single usb cord to my computer I knew that this would be the greatest headset I had ever owned. The software and drivers for the headset are so easy to use and the sound from them is so amazing and immersive with the 7.1 surround (virtual). Overall this headset is very well put together and sounds amazing. Props to Logitech.

This is the headset I own right now, it is very great. The quality of the sound and mic is as good as a $150 headset. It is lightweight, and you can change the headsets height or whatever it is. It's comfortable, looks decent, and has some extra features to it that most do such as the little thing that you can mute mic or turn up/down volume. Blue wires on a black and blue headset look very nice. Budget headset that is great.

I rate this headset a 5 because it is a great overall headset works perfect, the surround sound is amazing but the thing is i had it for about 4 months and well i was vacuuming my room one day and the headset cord was on the ground and well you know where i am going with this one. i ran it over and i got sucked up in the vacuum and ripped the headset cord right out of the volume rocker and plugged it in and never worked again... but i do recommend this headset to anyone looking for an affordable headset.... i actually am getting the g930 soon because of the wireless... and i will never have to worry about vacuuming another headset again.....

I like these headphones, they sound pretty good, but the surround sound doesn't really come out too distinct when sounds are supposed to be coming from the front of you. They are pretty comfortable and they block out most background noise when in use. I was still able to hear my phone vibrating on an end table on the other side of the room, which is fine. I am using these with a high end Asus laptop and the install of the software, once downloaded (about 53mb so no need for a installation disc to be included with the product), was simple and quick. Setting them up was not too bad, I had to set the headphones as the default audio device, which could be a windows 8 thing (boo microsoft for forcing a mobile UI onto the computing public). All in all, I like them.

So, I was debating between the Razer Krackens and Steelseries Siberias for a gaming headset. Went to bestbuy to check them both out, found these, and I fell in love with them. The cable is super long, it has a usb, it doesn't tangle. The headset feels amazing on your ears and head, and it's extremely breathable. Wearing for long times does not affect your head at all! The sound is supreme. Great surround sound, heard some deep rockets and minigun fire in team fortress 2, but also didn't miss the scout's high pitched voice! Sounds great with music as well. One thing to note is Logitech's software they advise you to download, which lets you individually adjust the volume from every direction around you, and adjust microphone and sound quality very precisely. Also, the ear cups shape around your ears, instead of pinching the tops and bottoms of them like round ear cup headsets do. Overall, an amazing headset that I would recommend to anyone who PC games and wants great sound quality, great mic quality, great price, great feel, and great looks!

I bought these about a year ago and I loved them. They are comfortable and the sound quality is awesome.... BUT after my headset for work broke I used these in the meantime to record a few things and found a pretty bad flaw. The mic cuts in and out. If you search for issues with the G430 mic, a lot of threads pop up. From what I gather, the mic turns off when you're not speaking to cut down on background noise so if you pause even for a new sentence, it cuts out before picking back up again. So in normal speaking instances you fade in and out. This is a known issue that Logitech has not addressed and there are some work arounds, but you should have to set your mic quality to AM quality in order to be heard. If the mic issue was fixed it would be 5 stars, easily.

I bought this headset after my old 780 Plantronics Gamecom headset was smashed by a sibling and the first impression was excellent. The microphone quality was wonderful, the sound was great and the playback was fine. Later on however, the microphone began to cut out and mute itself automatically. The Logitech forums say to install a firmware but apparently Logitech hasn't been paying attention as they do not have a firmware for Windows 8.1 So I can't install the firmware to fix it. (If that will even help) The headset is great to start out with but if you have a Windows 8.1 PC I would not recommend this until they manage to make a working Logitech firmware for Windows 8.1 (The Windows 8 version is simply incompatible). **Please note that my PC has a number of otherworldly issues so this may just be me, don't use my review as your only source** Now, assuming you run into absolutely no problems like the ones I did, this headset is great and I'd recommend it. But unfortunately I may be returning this in exchange for another model in hopes that that won't have the same problems.

Comfortable and eliminates outside noise. I only have to adjust these on my head maybe once every hour. Would recommend as a solid entry level gaming headset. The cord provides plenty of length as well and a built in cable tie to shorten as needed.
