Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now I had a turtle beach headset that the mic stopped working after 9 months and decided to go another route. I have Logitech everything else and figured why not go with a headset. I choose this because it has 7.1...and oh boy it does. My turtle beach had a bass adjustment on the cord and this Logitech blows it out of the water. The sound is amazing. The cord is durable

Nice set of headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these for my son and he has been very satisfied with them. He's had them for awhile now and they have held up very well. And, that's saying something as he uses them on his computer everyday.

Great quality for gaming purposes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality of this headset is above average from my personal experience. No, it does not provide an audiophile quality listening experience, but you can't really expect that for the price. The only thing is that the sound input seemed muted until I changed some settings in Windows. This is a common issue but is easy to fix.

Microphone is Great, Audio Kills It Dearly
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I got this headset, I expected something better constructed for its price. Its microphone sounds crystal clear, beautiful. The audio that comes out of the headset is so poor and does not sound natural at all. Nothing like various other headsets I've tried. It's enough to drive you insane over time. Plus, the cord that comes off of the headset itself is very sensitive, in that way I mean that if you're listening to something, and that cord brushes against ANYTHING, your gonna hear it. Loud swooshing noises come from it when this happens that is also obnoxious. Very disappointed with this headset. Please don't buy this unless your only purpose for it is to talk to people, not hear the game or music clearly.

Amazing Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a headset that looks cheap on paper, it is probably the best headset I could possibly get. The surround sound in it is amazing and it pops the base of any music or soundtrack beautifully. I am practically a full time gamer and I could not recommend a better headset. The headphone jack(mic & speaker) to USB adapter is amazing as well. Great for laptops with no mic jack.

Many Mic issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are buying these headsets for any communication than I would say do no purchase this device. Apparently the USB dongle causes the noise canceling to go absurd and cause you to cut in and out of conversation. Without the USB dongle; at least for me, would cause the microphone to be extremely quiet and have no noise cancelling and produces lots of white noise. This seems to be a fairly common problem but Logitech doesn't seem to want to try to fix the software so far and will just say its a batch problem. So save your self some time and purchase another headset with less bugs. Below is a link to a support thread about this which is still not being addressed. http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Headphones-Headsets-Microphones/G430-fading-mic-sound/td-p/1033609 Best things I can say is that the volume is ok and the headset fits fairly well.

Good headphones for the kids
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good surround sound headphones I got for the kids so they don't blast the volume from their rooms. Quality is OK, there is a little bit of a flimsy feel to these, and this is the second pair I am buying after the first had a crack and broke off. For the price on sale, would buy again.

Great Value

Good product, but cheap
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first impressions were good, they feel amazing, the sound is pretty good on these headphones. Although, the materials on the headphones are cheap and after one year and 2 months the plastic hinge between the headrest and the headphone piece chattered in 2 pieces after taking them off like I normally do (they were taken best care of) Just because of this, I bought another brand of headphones and never bought to buy another pair. Therefore, I would recommend this for its price, and if you don't mind the risk of this product not lasting very long, go for it!

Great Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great headset. Mic is clear and sound is great. not a huge fan of the mesh on the ear pad, so I ordered a leather set for $3 on amazon. But that was just a personal preference. These sound much better in both audio quality and mic response than my previous set of turtle beaches

Terrible build quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went over tons of reviews before choosing this product over a different gaming headset. Seemed to be the best possible headset based on quality vs cost. I knew before purchasing it that others had problems with the bracket that connects the headpiece to the headband and the bracket would break making it impossible to use after that. I thought, hey, maybe if I treat it like a glassboned baby it'll last for a real long time. Wrong. Bracket broke like tons of others have and now i'm out 40 something bucks. I leave it resting on a custom built stand to make sure it's always being taken care of,I couldn't possibly have babied it anymore. I put it on today and as the headphones adjusted to my head, the bracket broke into about 6 pieces and there is no possible way of fixing it. Despite them now being useless,I really loved them up until this point. The sound was AMAZING and made all of my games much more enjoyable with the surround sound. Could drop a pin in any direction and you could pinpoint exactly where it fell with the headphones. The mic wasn't bad either,it allowed for recordings without any issues. The braided cable is super tough and doesn't kink up which was a plus. If only the brackets that held the headphones together weren't so useless, otherwise this would be a perfect set of gaming headphones. Buy at your own risk.

Broken
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is very comfortable and good sound. But the left ear piece just cracked and broken off where is turns right above the metal band. It's a very thin plastic covering holding it in place. I've had it far less than a year. It's a shame, I do like Logitech. I would suggest you to buy the BestBuy extended warranty with this headset. You will most likely need it later.

You get what you pay for
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on sale and knew that it wasn't goign to be high end. I think the ear cups are comfortable but the band over the top of your head is not comfortable at all. Too much pressure/weight pushing down makes for an even short gaming session to be uncomfortable.

Not true surround Headphones.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're buying these thinking somehow they produce a true 5.1/7.1 sound field you'd be in for a surprise. These headphones like so many these days use software to emulate surround sounds and do it fairly poorly. I've heard many sound cards that do the same thing with software and a cheap pair of headphones put out a better surround sound experience . The only thing I can stress is these headphones are useless without the software and are a "stereo" headset the same as it's cheaper brother the G230. The drivers/software have minor conflicts with Win 8 that Logitech knows about but does nothing about? The issues are not huge or game breaking, but could cause issues for some with Win 8 and other software, or issues with Windows itself you're not aware of that stem from this badly written software. These are really a decent set of phones that are comfortable for long gaming sessions but Logitech marketing these as surround headphones is an outright lie. Save yourself the money if all you want is a surround set of phones and use the built in surround features that come with every sound card these days . This is a new low even for Logitech and is something I'd expect more from Creative than these guys! So to some it up, these are "not" surround headphones , they are stereo headphones with badly written software that is supposed to mimic surround, and again, every blasted sound card these days has Dolby Headphone or some sort of surround feature that is usually better or just as good as what these do.

Great while they lasted
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in June 2015. Works well and easy setup on PS4 and PC. Cord tangles easily. Eventually started spotty sound through mic due to cord issues. Still feel better made than Turtle Beach. Replaced these with G930. Would recommend these if under $40.00.

Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes there are better headsets out there but these really are good quality. The 7.1 surround sound is fantastic. Be sure to update the firmware and download the software to activate Dolby DTS.

Great Headphones, Not Enough Channel Seperation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones are incredibly good for the mic and the mic is very good for the price. There's just not enough separation of the speakers for the surround or should I say all but that doesn't matter at all for the price.

Great budget headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset works very well and has clear audio. It is affordable and easy to set up. Using it on consoles does require you to update it via your pc first though.
