I have a gaming laptop with very few USB ports. Between my keyboard, a hard drive enclosure, and my mouse receiver, I have no more USB ports available for a USB headset, so I needed one that didn't need a receiver. Options are very limited, at least in my budget, so I chose this one. For the price, I'm happy with it, though more color options would be nice.
