Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize that the G923 racing wheel did not meet your expectations for realism and caused disappointment. While consumer-level racing wheels are designed to enhance the gaming experience, we understand that they cannot perfectly replicate the feel of a real car. Was not impressed… The wheel overall is great, but purchased to play American truck simulator and could not get this to work with the game. In fact it made the game harder than using just a keyboard. Was hoping this would make it easier than keyboard unfortunately I was wrong. Don’t waste your money.

Fun, Gets You Immersed with Great Control

Racing games have gotten more and more realistic over the years. Their controllers have been racing as well to catch up. Over the past few days, I unboxed and tested a steering wheel and pedal controller set where the wheel design and build had similar feel to the sport steering wheel in my actual car down to the rounded flat bottom! And with the weight of the feedback components, this ends up being of similar weight to my car's steering wheel with an airbag, amazing. The Logitech G923 is a racing wheel and pedal set that aims to be more true to life via the Trueforce feedback engine which is just steering wheel only. The pedals do provide some feel, but it's more in the progressive nature of pedal pressure (harder the further you press) when applying the pedal and the response when the pedal returns to the neutral position. The steering wheel is a nice leather (or something similar enough that I can't tell the difference or care) giving a premium feel with the brushed metal. If it didn't have essentially a game controller built into the upper half you'd really be hard pressed to distinguish this from the sport wheel for a car. On the opposite side of the controller are dials that you use to adjust the responsiveness settings of the wheel. The wheel also has side mounted paddle shifters. The wheel housing holds motors that provide the force feedback as well as steering gear to translate your motion to something the games recognize. The steering wheel gives about 2.5 turns lock to lock so would be incredibly "quick" on a real car but hits the sweet spot for gaming, particularly non-offroad racing where if done right, you wouldn't need that much steering range anyway. The housing has feet that pop out to secure to a table with a knob you tighten. If you've installed a table mounted toddler seat, it's pretty much the same exact operation. It can also sit flat and the bottom has some threaded holes which would allow for a more permanent installation if you were building a more custom setup. For me, given that my gaming rig is a laptop, table mount is perfect. However, with this being table mount, that puts the pedal set on the floor. The cable from this routes up to the steering wheel box along with power and the controller to the PC (or PS4). The pedal set has rubber feet for floor and a gool spiky carpet grip that flips out for carpet. My testing happend on a floor and while the rubber grip did mostly help, my seating position wasn't quite as lined up as I'd like. It would be nice to be able to put this at an angle. This resulted in me sometimes being able to push the whole thing away with some spirited manouvers which was fixed by placing around 20lbs of bag behind it. I think an angle/platform adjustment would be about what's needed to get this to great (and having actual feedback in the clutch and brake pedal would be unreal). I tried this out with Dakar 18 and F1 2018 on my laptop. Unfortunately, neither game supports Trueforce so my review won't include anything on that. The wheel is really designed more for games like F1 and will more than up to the task for Dakar. I enjoyed the steering wheel feel in both Dakar and F1. It felt responsive with a good weight and the feedback did a good job of matching the game mechanics. I feel where this really shines is in two areas. The first being little details on the steering response of vehicles and pushing that back to you, so for example, you'd struggle a bit more moving the steering wheel when piloting the car through mud than on a track. The second area is in gross response - when you bump another car (or get bumped yourself), there's an immediate steering response as the wheel moves to match. Contrary to what you might think, this sets you up to respond faster as your "wheel" is already in right position. Instead of the jerky back and forth to reacquire the true steering angle, you just pickup from where your virtual car is actually located. It also makes the game more immersive as you get to feel a bit more of the jossling and rolls or throws as your car moves through terrain or slides around a turn due to too much oversteer. Overall, I think the G923 is a good blend of features for a racing controller. I did have some placement/mounting issues with the pedals but nothing that couldn't be solved quickly. It looks great, has great feel and feedback, and improved my experiencing playing, both in terms of making me feel more connected to the game as well as actually helping eke out better in-gmae performance by giving me not only more feedback to what's happening in game but allowing my physical controls to actually track the vehicle I'm piloting. After a few days of use, the only other nit pick is that the colors on the wheel itself are too bland. I think the buttons/knobs need a bit more contrast, which would make them a bit more noticeable with less ambient light so that it's easier to see in your peripheral vision and hit without having to glance at the wheel to reacquaint yourself. I suspect more time and muscle memory will solve this as well, but I don't think it takes away from the aesthetics of the wheel and in fact would give it more of an F1 look anyway.

I got the g923 for Christmas from my grandparents but after getting a broken model we tried to exchange it and got next day shipping and my package has since been lost. We have given it over a week and called the shipping number and we got nowhere with a very rude worker. I still haven’t received my package or any compensation even after requesting a refund. Overall not a good experience.

I had a great time playing with the Logitech G923 combination wheel and 3-pedal car racing controller. This device is very rugged and has a lot of features that make racing games on PC, XBOX or PS4 very realistic. I did use the game on a Windows-10 PC with one of the most popular motorsports games and it worked nicely. The sounds, video and action are all more of a thrill when you use this wheel. If you are not a seasoned gamer and are using a PC, be sure to configure the game to use the Logitech G923 wheel and pedals, else it defaults to use your keyboard as your controller. It is simple to setup the pedals and wheel as your input controls and you also can set other items like the shifter. If you don’t have a separate shift control, you can use the paddles on the steering wheel to shift up and down. There are dozens of options to set that make the game more and more realistic and this G923 does support as many as I could think to try. One of the most realistic functions is the vibration feedback you get especially when you crash into a wall, which you will do when you start out. If you want advance gaming setup, all the controls are available with this device, but if you just want a simple race car set, you can just do that. I had only used a keyboard before so using this device as the controller was tremendous and tons of fun. It isn’t a requirement, but it would be a good idea to also get a separate shift knob. I plan to get one of the “Racing Wheel Stands”. These stands hold the pedals in place as well as the steering wheel and optional shift knob control on its own platform – so that you look like you have a regular car dash setup in front of you. I do plan to invest in one of those stands. You can use any chair that works to get you in position. This G923 is sharp looking, handles the complex or simple games and is a blast to play with. I highly recommend this device.

As far as racing wheel and pedal goes, the Logitech G923 is a is a well made bundle. As an owner of the T300RS and T3PA-PRO, I was very surprised at how well the wheel performs. In fact, I will go as far as say I prefer the G923 over the T300RS, because of the feel and usability of the wheel. There are many things that makes this my preferred wheel, and one of them is the feel of it. The real leather stitching gives you a more authentic and grippy feel when driving. The force feedback is also well done and remains silent during operation. My T300RS would have a fan that would kick in during a gaming session, but this wheel stayed quiet making driving that much more enjoyable. This wheel also mounts to the surface/stand quite easily. At first I was skeptical of the plastic hinges that were provided, but the provided enough support that the wheel did not budge at all in my stand. Really, my only gripe is in how the cables are managed - you have to remove the wheel from the stand to access the ports, but this isn't too bad since you can remove the wheel from a stand in just a few seconds. The pedals do not stand out as much as the wheel for me. However, that does not mean that they are still great. Each pedal has their own level of resistance when depressed. The gas and clutch feel correct, but the brake pedal can seem a bit stiff. You really have to push it in order to fully depress it. For some that may be desirable, but for me it was not. Because this pedal is mostly proprietary, it would be hard to find mods to customize it to your liking. There is little adjustability in that you can move the pedal plates to the left/right by a centimeter or so, but that's it. There are a set of retractable spikes that can help grip the pedals without screws. On carpet, they are so-so, but on a rubber mat they work amazing. Overall, the pedals are nice for starters, but you may find them a little lacking further down the road. My opinions of the G923 is that it is an amazing set for anyone considering buying a driving simulation setup. The wheel especially and the pedals combined with the easily usable software from Logitech gives a genuine gaming experience that outshines what a normal controller would do for driving games.

Pro: -Solid build and good driving feel -Force feedback feels good especially for supported games -Easy to place on desk -Pedals feels sturdy Con: -Trueforce supported games are few -Brake pedal is really tight -Pedals are at a steep angle for me -Base can slide on hard floor This is my first racing wheel and I had a good time playing with it. I tried it with a few racing games as well as simulators. As of this writing, there are only four games that support Truforce, so the only game I tested it on was Grid on PS4 and I could feel more varied feedback from the engine and steering. I can feel the steering wheel fighting me and when the tires are slipping. I also tried it on my PC with F1 2018 and American Truck Simulator, and while the rumbling was there, it felt more linear and constant like rumbling from a controller. The rumbling can get quite strong and would shake my desk and monitors. The steering was smooth in game and the pedals were responsive. However, for me, the pedals were angled a bit too high so I can’t rest my feet on the base comfortably to do heel toe acceleration. On carpet the pedal base stays in place if you flip the grip down underneath, but on smooth flooring it will slide. The overall build quality is solid. It’s light enough to easily put it on and off my desk, but the clamps under the wheel feels plasticy and too lightweight. Hopefully they last. The buttons work with both PC and PS4 without any hassle. On PC, the buttons can be customized with the G Hub software along with the wheel and pedal sensitivity. Thought it would have been cool to be able to assign keys to the pedals too. The steel pedals are strong and feel premium. No loose movement or jiggling at all. I’m not a racing gamer nor a car guy, but so far having the wheel made it much more fun. I have been enjoying playing sim games with the G923. The build is good and it performs without any issues. The Trueforce feedback really makes a difference, but more games need to support it. They said this will work on PS5 so I’m sure future games will support it. I think it’s a good entry if you really like immersive racing.

I love playing racing game, and have for 20+ years. started out with Mario kart. But, that said, I never played competitive. I always just played casual. So with that, I never saw the need for a racing wheel that is over 100$. I was given this wheel to use and try out, and man am I impressed. And I have not fully used the wheel to its fullest. few things I love about the wheel outside of games. underneath the wheel, you have the spot that you plug in the power, the pedals, and if you want a shifter that as well. it has a bracket so you can wrap some extra cable around. This helps with cable management. love that. The wheel has plenty of buttons which I love but and I have not even used all the buttons. There is a knob button as well as a + and - button. I would imagine the knob button might be great in other driving simulation games, like farming or trucks etc that might need some extra buttons to use. The wheel and pedals feel solid and well built. The wheel has a leather covering so it feels great in the hands. The pedals feel realistic. on the bottom of the pedals, it has a button you can press and it releases a foot (so to speak) that has small teeth to help it from sliding on carpet. The wheel has 2 mounting brackets (or you can mount with screws). the brackets you push a knob on each side so it pops out, adjust the brackets to the edge of your table, then as the knob tightens all the way you then press in on the knob to lock in place. have played hours with it and not have the wheel move. My dad used the wheel and he just turned the knobs and did not lock in place. the wheel after a bit would slide off. Once I showed him how to properly lock, he has not had any issues. its has force feedback which gives you pressure against the wheel. It also uses logitechs trueforce technology. Not all games use that yet. I hope some older games will update and incorporate that. But from what I have played and felt and tested. The older games that do not support it, when you hit a wall, drive on the dirt or edge of road etc, at times would make the wheel rumble but not really feel like you are driving on the rocks or edge, and at times would not cause the wheel to even rumble. But with trueforce, it felt like I was driving in the grass, or edge of the road. If there where bumps like driving on the shoulder, it would feel like that. Reving the engine would rumble to that, as well as shifting. It basically gave it a lot more realistic feel. The wheel has lights on the top above the buttons. Those lights would rev up as your RPMs went up. Nice touch. WARNING: when you plug in the wheel to power and then usb or vice versa, the last plug in wheel activate the wheel to calibrate so it will turn on its own one way then the other way and then back to center. I do not have a bracket for the wheel to fit in. So what I used for it was one of those old TV wood square shaped trays. The brackets fit perfect. and the pedals just fit in between the legs. I faced the tray so that the one leg that goes side to side was towards me. and I would put both my legs in-between and the pedals against my desk. a future that I am surprised logitech did not really hit on. It does have a double clutch for a more advanced control. Hard to explain especially being I dont use. Its not easy to setup. I dont use it myself, but later on I probably will more often. You basically hold both paddles and then I believe the L1 and R1 buttons. (the L and R could be 2 or 3 not sure what combo). then you basically use the +/- button to lower the clutch point. then you assign what ever button you want (like L3) so that when that button is pressed it fully presses your clutch in. So basically you press the foot clutch which only activates the clutch to what you set so lets say 1/3, then press the L3 button so your clutch is now at 3/3 (all the way). Then you basically start out by releasing the L3 button, then as you start to get going, you then release your foot clutch. I dont know much with logitechs other models like the G29, G920 etc. I believe this uses the same gear mechanics as those. The difference with this wheel is that they updated the circuitry inside with the processor. They updated the pedals as well. And like I said above they added the trueforce and the double clutch. I have always enjoyed my logitech gear. They have lasted for me so far and I hope this wheel will continue. The couple gripes I guess I would say, why not go with belt system? and why not add 2 more paddles on the back. it has 1 paddle per side that is long. could probably get those in half and make it 2 paddles per side. For now, I set on up as my handbrake. Find it easier then pushing one of the front buttons. Just used to a bike lol. But then that takes away using the shifters to shift. But if they added 2 more paddles, that would allow to use a hand brake and still have the shifter options. over all though, its a learning curve but much easier then using a controller. I find that I can be more precise with using the wheel. staying in the lanes etc. I also find it a lot more fun to use. If you are looking for a mid range wheel, this is one to consider. I enjoy using it, and my father in law loves using it on his ps4. I use it on a pc.
