No, don't ignore the bad reviews.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am currently on my FIFTH set of this headset. I can't even begin to say the number of issues that I've had with them over the years. All I can say is that I am thankful for the exchange program offered by Best Buy. If you're going to get this headset, then do that. As I've said, this is my fifth set of these. I have had to return them repeatedly, every 8 months - a year, ever since I bought my first pair. The current pair that i am using I had for 6 months before they start to glitch. First and foremost, the Logitech gaming software is so buggy, and it is required to set up profiles for my other Logitech items or I wouldn't even use it. The hardware itself has given out on me numerous times. From battery issues, to...I don't even know what this new issue is now. When it's wired in it automatically restarts every 2-3 minutes randomly. Sometimes it just gives up and doesn't want to turn back on when it powers down for the recycle. I have literally tried everything, down to having Logitech on the phone for hours trying to walk me through the same process over and over again rather than just telling me that it's defective. Yes, this headset works great for a while. I can see why people would get it and agree that it is the best headset out there. It's comfortable, the sound is good, and the quality of your voice on the other end is fantastic as well. Unfortunately the longevity of the lifetime for the product to be usable is not good for the price. I've had cheaper headsets that lasted longer than these.

Gread sound, poor mic and mediocre battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this on thanksgiving and returned it after one week. I just feel like I need to say sth to let you guys reconsider of buying this. -Pros: The sound is the best part of this headset, they r loud&clear, 7.1 worked well too. It is pretty good for fps games. (tested with r6s) Wireless connection is easy to setup. You can store the connect stick inside the headset so you don't have to looking for it everywhere while you need it. -Cons The microphone's base noise is very loud even with the noise cancellation on. I have to switch to my old headset (steelseries arctis 5) to discord with my friends because they couldn't take the noise anymore. (btw if you want good mic on a gaming headset, go with steelseries) The battery life is not impressive. You get 8 hrs "gaming mode" with full charge. For me, the time is a little bit to short, because I like keep using headset after gaming, the battery life is just not good enough for me. Material feels cheap. The plastic on sides of the headset is very thin. Headband is also plastic, feels very stiff. This headset is not comfortable to wear. it's kind of funny that as the heaviest headset I bought, is also the smallest one. Due to the stiff plastic, this headset is not very wide, if you got a big head, pass this one. And the ones who have big ears should also pass, cause for a giant headset like this, the earpads are not large enough. The headband is the worst. Foam is so hard that it is actually painful while you put it on,even for just 1 hour. So over all, I do not recommend this. If you are a casual gamer that don't spend much time on gaming and don't need to voice chat this might be an ok headset. As a headset got a look that screams "gaming", it is not for actual gamers.

Poor - Do NOT buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The GOOD: Really cool lights that turn different colors The ear size is large and quality is fine Comfortable The BAD: The unit auto shuts off if not in use for about 3-4 minutes. Totally frustrating. On top of that it does not a tone to let you know. Double frustrating. Of source you can very easily turn it back on if this is the plan you want to be doing for years! The battery drains out really fast because of the cool lights! You can switch off the lights each time you turn on the head set as it defaults to the cool light mode (very VERY frustrating) No indicator to let you know is it is muted or not The doggle is giant. It is about 10-20 times larger than a regular mouse doggle! The place to store the doggle does not stay closes, on and on. Flipping the microphone piece up and down is a pain - big time! They are very heavy! They make a weird creaking noise when handling them. They worked on and off with my windows 10. I was able to only unmute it before each use by going to system - ''fix recording mic'' and that did the trick each time and only takes about 30-50 seconds each time (if that is what you want, then, go ahead and get these!) Otherwise stay far, far away!

Lots of troubleshooting with this headset.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pro : Excellent sound quality Excellent microphone quality Looks cool Has about a 6-8 hour battery life if you got it cranked loud. Cons : * Disclaimer all cons listed are after spending atleast 16 hours on Logitech support, some resolutions worked most didn't. Headset randomly re-cycles powerup cutting all audio and microphone through a full reboot. In which in gaming every second counts. A 5 sec reboot can wipe a raid. Headset can randomly disconnect charging in cycle intervals that leave you with a dead headset after wired for hours. If headset fully drains to 0% battery, can get stuck in a beating red led that requires disconnecting the internal battery to fix. Headset requires firmware updates when wired that have bricked the headset requiring a full hard wipe of memory. Finally, It has me so frustrated that I'm now shopping for a different headset on best buy and was curious to see what other people had to say about this product.

It's ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box it hooked up and synced easily. Sound is great. But also out of the box when you fold up the mic to mute your headset it stays muted like the switch is broken. I have to turn it off and back on for it to work. I've also heard from others it has a firmware issue but I haven't seen it yet but things happen. Overall it's nice but for the price there should not be any issues out of the box

Only worth it if far from your router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headset itself is very good. The surround sound feature is amazing and the fact that you can use it on all your consoles is a really good touch as well. Unfortunately the only way you get the surround sound feature is if its connected wireless and to your PC. Consoles will sound like any cheap headset on this, and if you wire your headset to your PC you only get normal stereo sound. If you like me and you game close to your router, like most people since its better to connect your PC directly to your internet to get the best connection, you will not be satisfied with this headset. Since your router and the headset use the same frequency to connect to the wireless receiver, there's a lot of interruption. It cuts off and loses signal randomly and takes forever to reconnect. unless your a casual gamer who doesn't play any competitive games and doesn't mind occasional signal loss, this is the perfect headset for you. If not, do not buy it.

Good while it worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this headset for about a year now. It was great for the first few months. Now every time I turn it on, I have to reconnect the headset (use a paperclip to reset the usb) This is extremely annoying. Just recently it started to not connect at all. I've followed all of the Logitech Support and they are mainly of no help. I now don't have a working headset (It connects but no sound is coming out)

PLEASE READ!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything people say is true! I love these headphones. The best, and most over looked feature, is the 3.5mm port on the wireless USB-dongle!!! I looped the audio from my sound-card/AMP/DAC to the G933 wireless-usb-dongle using a 3.5mm phone extention (male-to-male 3.5mm stereo cable). The audio was drastically better!!!! It took good audio and made it great! Using this setup allows you to control the audio with your sound-card/AMP/DAC. It takes flat audio and wakes it up with full fidelity. Please try!!!

Huge Letdown
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was super excited to get this headset. Once I did, I fell in love with the style, the rgb, and sound quality. Unfortunately, the mic on this thing is complete and utter garbage. Seriously, its terrible. I tried it on my PC, PS4 Pro, and X and the mic was just terrible. Friends in chat parties either said my mic was creating an echo, or they couldn't hear me, and there was too much static. If this thing had a better mic, or even a decent mic, it easily be a 4 star rating. 5 stars if it had better bass, and better software on the pc. I am returning these ASAP. I tried giving them every chance. Change all kinds of audio settings, and the mic still sounded really bad. I would never recommend this headset.

Avoid at all cost
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am an avid Logitech product user and have several of their top end gaming equipment (Mouse, Keyboard, Headset) at home and at work. I saw this the latest headset as well as it's wireless sibling and opted for wired as the last headphones I purchased had less than desirable performance. Needless to say these do not work. Logitech is working on several problems including a lack of surround sound, poor mike audio and headsets that provide no audio with the exception of the beeping sound of changing the volume. For headphones going between 150 to 200 dollars one would think that they should work and work well....You can do much better (any working headphones are a marked improvement over what I have currently) and until Logitech ponderously address these issues this expensive ear muffs will have to sit on the side. Check the Logitech Forum to see if they have finally resolved the numerous issues being discussed - consider yourself warned.

Great sound, bad mic and software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality is pretty good, better than my old ones (logitech g430) but the mic quality sucks horribly. I ended up handing my old headphones like a boom mic to get decent mic quality. even 2 feet away my old phones have better mic then the new phones. Then the software support isn't good either. the logitech software won't read that my headphones was plugged in so i couldn't customize them, in particular the annoying habit for these headphones to turn themselves off when no sound is heard for X minutes. I could be talking in discord and everyone else is silent then poof i cut off because since no sound is going to the headset it turns itself off.

Decent headset ruined by bad software
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the worst logitech product I've ever owned. It cuts out all the time in conditions where all my other wireless devices work fine and it has a volume wheel that is really easy to accidentally hit. But the horrible thing is that whenever any of those things happen it beeps really loud, or if it's below 30% battery life (which should be about 4 hours) it beeps every ten minutes the whole time. I have looked for support on the logitech forums, and the official response is "there is no way to disable that feature". 2 stars only because the audio quality is really good for those few minutes in between the aural torture sessions

Great Headsets
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not know why people have trouble with these but i have not had any trouble with these headsets. The only thing is having to sync every time they go into sleep mode. All I have to say is make sure you read the instructions carefully because I had too after trying to figure it out why ut wasn't working on my xbox one.

NOT WIRELESS FOR XBOX ONE
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for Xbox One and was really disappointed...it says "wireless 7.1 surround sound headset for PC, PS4, and Xbox One" right? Well come to find out, it is NOT wireless NOR 7.1 surround sound for Xbox One. Also not 7.1 for PS4 either. I was told this from Logitech themselves when i called with questions about setup. If you want to use this for the One, you have to buy a headset adapter for your controller. Which, of course, makes it NOT WIRELESS. They also say that there is no way to get actual surround sound on ANY console headset. ...After a good bit of research, it looks like the Turtle Beach 420X+ is the only console headset that is 100% wireless, although still not true surround sound. Ill be returning these and getting a set of those instead. Lost a lot of respect for Logitech after this.....

Meh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I first bought this headset a year and a half ago, and I immediately started having problems. I kept hearing a constant, high pitch noise through the headset. Turning it off and on would temporarily fix the problem. I ended up exchanging it for a new pair, and everything was fine for a couple of months. Then the sound in my left earmuff started going out every now and then so I'd only hear out of the right side. It got worse and worse, and now the sound on the left goes in and out really fast and gives me a huge headache. I have to either turn the headset off and on OR press the power button down in a certain way where the sound will stabilize and stay on. Also, the wireless range ~claims~ to be around 60 feet--which is a lie. I'd say the range is 25ish feet. I've never dropped my headset nor have I ever been rough with it. I keep it on my headset stand when I'm not using it. Pros: still works kinda, nice padding Cons: wireless range, feels heavy, left earmuff loses sound, pull-up to mute has problems unmuting, both charging cables broke within a month Point: save yourself the trouble and get a different headset.
