Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used a Mac for setup, no problems. Programming took approximately 15 minutes simply because I had to climb to get model numbers for TV. Very easy to use and activity buttons are fantastic. Dropping the remote will require a few extra buttons to be pushed, but the "Help" button quickly fixes everything with simple Yes/No statements. Use it for Directv, Samsung Soundbar, Vizio TV and Xbox360.

Amazing remote control
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote control is so amazing, it's truly all in one. First days were difficult to use because we didn't really know how to use it, but after a couple days we learned how to use it better.

It works.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can successfully control satellite receiver, TV, CD, audio receiver, and Internet available through either the DVD or the smart TV. Sometimes it does switch the audio output to the wrong source but a press of the help button fixes that. Unfotuna tree Ely using the help button doesn'the lead to it leaving how to correct the error; hence 4 stars, not 5

Simple to Program. Simple to Use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote is replacing my Harmony Smarthub remote. I've been a long time user of Harmony Remotes. They're reliable, simple to program, and simple to use. I would recommend making a list of your a/v equipment model numbers before you plug the remote into your PC and program it. It makes the process less time consuming. There is a minor hiccup with my remote setup, but it may be my TV's fault. I have a 50" Panasonic plasma TV, and every one of my Harmony Remotes has difficulty turning the TV on and off. I reference this as a minor hiccup because the 650 remote has a "Help" button. Press it and it will ask if the Panasonic TV is off (or on), and by pressing "no" once, the TV will turn off (or on). Again, a very minor issue that doesn't detract from the overall ease and reliability of the remote. Takes 2 AA batteries. I prefer this over the rechargable battery which powered my first Harmony Logitech remote (sorry, I don't remember the model number. It came with a cradle, had a color display, and a larger 4" display, similar to a GPS). Overall, this remote is a good value for the money. It is somewhat limited as to the number of devices you can program it to operate, but it should be sufficient for most home theater setups.

The Best Remote In My Opinion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned Logitech Harmony remotes for 10 years and this was my 2nd Harmony 650. The dog chewed up the original and I was glad that the 650 was still available. For its price and features, I don't think you will find a better universal remote than the 650. And even better, I had backed up the settings from the original 650 remote on the Logitech myharmony.com site and had the old remote settings downloaded to the new remote in minutes.

Works almost flawlessly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device works as advertised as it universally controls my samsung plasma tv, cable tv dvr box (Arris), Vizio soundbar and Apple TV without the need to mess with 4 remotes. The software that comes with it is incredibly easy to use and intuitive. However, the remote is finicky in that I have to hold it pointed at theses devices for up to 5 seconds, otherwise, it won't change functions from all the device to the next. This delay gets annoying and I've tried everything on the remote and it's associated software to try to speed this up. For example, if I want to watch my Apple TV and I'm currently watching cable tv, I push the "activity button" on the remote to switch the tv and sound bar to the inputs needed for the Apple TV as well as turning on the Apple TV. For whatever reason, this process appears to be set up in the remote to perform each function sequentionally rather than all at one time. So, if I don't hold the remote pointed at all these devices for 5 seconds, it will miss one of the steps (I.e. The Apple TV will turn on, my tv will switch inputs to connect to the Apple TV but the sound bar will still have the cable box audio coming out of it). I just wish the remote would send signals to all devices at once. Maybe I'm missing something here but that's how it works for me. Still better than collecting 4 remotes every time I want to change something.

Did everything I needed it to do.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to replace an older Harmony. I use both Roku and Apple TV and the older unit didn't support them. Downloaded old settings to this remote, added setup info for the streamers and almost everything worked like a charm. There seems to be a problem programming the top buttons, but I can do everything I need from the screen. I'm pleased with the unit, just not 5-star pleased.

Good remote.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely does the job but doesn't have all the bells and whistles my previous harmony remote had. I miss the touch screen on my previous remote.

Finally making life easier in the livingroom!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Harmony remote is a great addition to our livingroom, as I'm finally able to eliminate the clutter of 5 different remotes and the delay caused by hunting them down before getting to execute actions. While I cannot comment the durability, I'm assuming it will be similar to other remotes. Setup takes a while, but once it's done, it works pretty smoothly. It does take some time to quickly remember which buttons do what, but with repetition it's seamless. Definitely recommended!

Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got this remote when we bought our new Sony 4K TV. We were tired of all the remotes (3 of them). The sales guy recommended this one. The person that installed our TV walked me through the remote installation and it was piece of cake. It works great and I love the HELP button. :) Glad we finally switched because grandma is no longer confused about all the remotes that we had.

Great remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Handles everything in my system. You do have to remember to keep the remote pointed at the equipment the entire time it's turning things on and off.

Why did it take me so long to get one?!?!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Where has this remote been all my life?!?!?!? I heard about them three years ago and finally decided to get one and boy am I glad!!! Now I state in my ratings that it was easy set up. When having my home theater system installed the Geek Squad guys set it up for me but it is really easy, I come to find out, and will save you $50 if you do it yourself. Make a list of all your components (make and model), hook remote up to computer and start setting it up. I LOVE MINE!!!!

Perfect!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had Harmony remotes for years and I like them all, but recently added this one to a bedroom and decided to go with this cheaper model. Honestly, I like this one better! I found it a lot simplier to operate. The other remotes are great if you like more modern functionality, but this one does all the same things on an easier to operate level. If you are a tech person, you would probably like the higher models better. They all work great!
