This remote was purchased for the functionality and compatibility with a home theater system (who's remote was dead with no replacement possible), a TV and a DVD Player. This remote connected seamlessly and played easily with all devices. It even controlled the individual speakers of the home theater system, just like the original remote - the best part is the functions show up on the little screen which is extremely helpful!

Works well with cable boxes, apple tv, and tv. Doesn't have the full funtionality for Roku, but works the basic functions.

We wanted an extra remote to go with our new Google Fiber / Google TV service but also wanted something that would control our other devices. I use this to control not only the Google TV and DVR, but also the Samsung TV, the LG blueray player, our old RCA home entertainment center, and even our Nvidia Shield Android TV device! Had issues connecting it to our older Apple TV device but no loss for us since that remote is small anyway.

Overall, the Logitech-Harmony 650 8-Device is excellent. It is not perfect, however. Sometimes it fails to make all of the switches involved, in which case, you push the help button and that usually makes the correction. You should retain your original remotes to access features the 650 can't handle. I keep mine handy, just in case.

I used an older model, the Harmony 610, for a long time. The print wore off the buttons and the volume stopped working, so I replaced it with this newer model. Works even better than the old one. Buttons feel firm and sturdy. The print seems like it will last better than the old one. Easy to set up and always works perfectly for every task without having to push the 'help' button, even with a slightly complicated set up.

A standalone (no cloud required) remote that is easy to program. I use it for the entertainment center in the living to turn on/off TV, receiver, and Tivo. Limited Tivo functionality. I prefer to use the Tivo original remote to control the Tivo box.

This remote can and will simplify your remote control experience, but it does require some level of geek savvy when it comes to programming and especially troubleshooting. Needs to be synced online etc. I had the Geek Squad perform this at set up. An absolute MUST for me! I do love the ease of use once all the functions are understood.

We hated needing 3 different (or more ) remotes to watch TV or movies. With the Harmony we only have one....yes it took a little learning to control everything however we are getting it now. We can control the sound bar, TV, Dish network, DVR, DVD player with just this one device and we think ti is capable of more!

I needed a remote that would work on Tivo and my Memorex TV. This remote now controls that plus my FireTV, Bose, DVD, and my CD player. It is pretty easy to setup on your computer, then sync to the remote. I have one of my activities setup to where it switches the TV input to my Firetv and turns on the Bose system for sound. Just push one button and it will turn on or off what ever you want. It even has learning features.

The only issue with the remote is the size of the "OK" push button. You sometimes hit one of the arrows surrounding the little "OK" button

Easy to setup, every feature I could think of. Docked 1 star because the battery cover doesn't secure tight, so it moves a little bit.

I needed a remote control to operate my TV, satellite and surround sound. I had no idea what to get, so the salesman pointed this one out. It seemed very intimidating to me and the thought of setting it up terrified me, but when I got home and read the directions, I thought I would try setting it up. Once I plugged it into my laptop, it was a breeze from there. The website walked me through each step and it took no time at all. I LOVE this remote control!!!

This is a great remote ... if you have a lot of units to operate. In my case, I only have Directv & the TV itself so not much use for it.

Pretty easy to set up if you've ever setup any type of account before. Just enter the Model numbers and their primary functions and you should be good. Advance setup is also available if your electronics don't turn on in the right order or is something fails to turn on (every time). Just set the delay in advanced set up, just like everything else, theres a youtube video for it. Don't Pay Geek Squad for Remote Setup
