While not flawless, the remote operates extremely well. The only issue I have is that the remote does not work properly when the receiver or other component powers off on its own. This is where the Help button comes in quite handy and the issue is typically corrected. This remote is used to control a TV, receiver, Apple TV, DVD player, XBOX One, and Wii and has freed us of all other remotes.

Works as intended. Has tons of programmable buttons, and the screen is nice for adding custom functions. The fact that it "talks" with other remotes to harvest function programming info makes me giggle like a schoolgirl. Seems to have problems identifying which channel to switch to when the TV is turned on manually, but other than that this remote is an excellent mid-level product.

I'll start by saying I like Harmony remotes, I've used the 880, 890, 900, and now the 650. This is my least favorite. It's difficult to put the activities in order (in fact Logitech says you can't do it), it only handles 5 devices, and the batteries aren't rechargeable. That said its a Harmony and will control your equipment like all the others (IR only), for many five devices will be plenty, and it's the lowest price model currently in the line. The Harmony equipment database is very good, and it does a great job controlling a variety of equipment types. If this meets your needs it will be fine, I need more devices and more flexibility (and I'm willing to pay more to get it). My general recommendations are based on it's low cost.

The remote is quite easy to set up and I really like the ability to program additional functions and remap the buttons. Occasionally a function may not carry out, but the on-screen help makes it easy to quickly resolve the problem. The remote feels great in the hand, has a sturdy build and has nice features such as button back-lighting that activates when the remote is picked up.

The remote is great. Well balanced in hand, most frequently used buttons are conveniently and comfortably located. Back-lit buttons make for easy reading in the dark. The remote is smart enough to allow for advanced control of a/v receiver, tv menus, etc: ie. adjusting sound fields, tone, even editing default names for inputs, changing display settings, etc. Set up is a breeze online through harmony's website. You can set up combinations of "activities." "Watch a movie" or "Listen to music" or "Watch TV", one button will turn on your TV to correct input, turn on receiver to correct input and turn on blu ray player. AMAZING!! It's idiot proof for the wife and kid. Hands down the best bang for your buck.

Great remote for the price. Easy to set up. I have 3 devices set up through the remote which makes life much easier.

This unit is fantastic and can consolidate several controllers into one unit. It is easy to set up and if you have a problem once it is set up all you have to do is hit the help button and it will ask you questions on each of the components that you are working with. Answering the questions corrects the program in the controller. I now have two of these controller units for use on our TV viewing in the living room and family room.

I have a 55" Sony LED TV, AT&T Uverse with a B&W Panorama sound bar. I purchased the sound bar about a year ago and I couldn't get it to work with my Uverse remote so I couldn't control the sound. I did some research and decided on this Logitech remote. I have to say, this is by far the best universal remote I have ever owned/used. You simply plug it in with the provided USB cord, go to the Logitech website, search for your specific equipment and voila, it programs all your equipment for you. It even had the B&W Panorama in the list of supported devices. This is a very high end sound bar ($2K) and most universal remotes don't support it. This one did. All you have to do is press the Watch TV button and it turns all 3 devices on. You can also go to each individual device for expanded options like going to the Sony TV to change to a different input. I like it so much, I picked a 2nd one up on sale during Black Friday for $40 to use in my bedroom. A real steal for such a great remote. I highly recommend it. And I don't write many product reviews, but BB enticed me to write this one to get 25 bonus points. Get the remote, you wont regret it.

My wife has problems using multiple remotes, and when we combined TV with DISH, CD player, DVD player and Blu-Ray player, there was no way she could figure it out. With this gadget, it turns on whatever is necessary for whatever she intends to do and then controls the combination with just one hand held item. She now feels like a genius. I enjoy it, too. It makes life much easier.

Simple ... start with 4 remotes (tv, blu-ray, receiver, dvr) down to one. Just like any programmable remote, right? Well yes...except this is easier. No more trying to figure out which code your device uses! Plug this into you computer and you can specify (graphically) which button controls which device. Don't have enough buttons? You can program even more on lcd screen of the remote. Super easy. Highly recommend for anyone with more than 2 components they need to control.

A harmony remote is one of the best investments you can make if you have multiple remotes for your electronics. This device replaces them all. Once set it does all the work. It will turn on the tv, turn on cable box, turn on stereo, and function as one unit. Change the channel on the cable box and adjust the volume on the stereo easily. Something not working, hit help and it will fix it. So easy anyone can use it. Got someone who is technically challenged in you house? It is perfect for them. For those who want more out of a remote, there are multiple programmable buttons. The remote can also function just like the factory remote for each individual component. Change it to function as just the TV remote to dive deep into the tv setup functions like picture control. Then change it back to control your full system. Setup is done via your computer by answering questions about how your devices work with each other and then you download to the remote itself. I have this remote for all three tv systems in the house.

I had to purchase this remote because my young children found a way in which they could permanently hide both of my Sony TV remotes. Since I have all SONY components I felt it was prudent to invest in this Harmony remote because after lots of research and knowing the popularity of these remotes that this would be the right purchase for the price. The configuration is easy to do, however, the only setback I might add to the programming of the remote is it requires internet access via a computer. I can see why though; it needs to update or be updateable to add the latest models of components to it's database. Plus, as we change out our components for newer ones we can update the remote to work with it. I would have given the remote a 5 star, however, I notice that when I use the remote to change the channels on the TV it looses the active connection to my HDMI connected speaker system. Through the HDMI connection between the TV/Speaker system should work seamless through the remote, but it doesn't. I have to go back and actually select the speaker system to change the volume. It might be a simple setting I have not figured out yet. My young kids even value this remote (a 5 yr old can figure out how to use it!) and have not thrown it away yet! A must buy if you want to bring all your devices to one remote (even for use in multiple rooms).

Easy to set up and use. Easily controls several different devices by different manufacturers. It does it all!!

My only issue is that you have to switch back and forth on the menu and select various devices (I currently have 5) and then the remote operates well for the chosen device. There are some quirks peculiar to the device (specifically Apple TV) that has taken a bit of time to get used to but overall I would definitely recommend this remote. It is priced well and works well

Overall the performance is what was expected. Programming the remote is very simple but if you have multiple electronic components, finding model numbers on these electronics can be a task. Sometimes the remote does not shut off multiple electronic equipment at the same time as it is able to do but pressing the help button on the remote solves this problem every time.

Very easy to program including custom steps. Affordable and works well.

I picked this remote up to control my TV, receiver, DVD player, Cable (Direct TV) and Xbox One. The set up is pretty easy as long as you know the make / model numbers of everything you want it to control. This has made controlling everything much easier. My 7 and 12 yr old kids can work it as well which is important to me too.... Most of the keys light up as well as soon as you move the controller which is also a plus. Very friendly remote in my opinion.
