I have had several Logitech products and am very happy with their performance and dependability. I bought this remote mainly because of that. I do believe that for this price range though it could use a touch screen especially since everything is touch screen now. You do have to hold the remote towards the equipment for a few seconds after pressing the "watch tv" or "watch movie" functions if you have it set up using the "IR' control which can be a little annoying. If you don't some equipment wont turn on or off. Remote range is really good. I can shoot the volume up or down from my kitchen about 25' away no problem. Ive had this remote for about 3 months now and have not had to change the batteries. Other than price and lack of touch screen I would say this a great remote for your simple home theatre. I am running a flat screen, PS3, DirecTV, and Phono.

Remote was super easy to set up and works very well. Only drawback is that if it is used for several components, it seems to get confused if one component is powered on, while others are not. You can't power each component individually, it only has one touch power-up. Other than this minor issue it is a great remote!

Between my wife's frustration with multiple remotes and my frustration with eternal explanations this was better than counseling. Setup was a breeze and after one trip through each activities we can now all get along. Worth every penny. In store price match from bestbuy.com pricing.

I lost all my remotes! Luckily I was able to program this remote to my tv, DVD and amplifier. If you get one, make sure you have a computer and Internet. The setup was easy, there's just a little learning curve on how to use it.

It just worked right after you open an account with Logic Tech and create the setup as your system connected. Cons: Sometimes it did not turn off the systems, you just have to use the help button then it works again.

I've tried the touch pad macro-based remotes with liimited success. This Logitech product was set up by the Geek Squad team and it's worth every extra penny to have someone do it for you because the end result is heaven!! The remote is very much like the Verizon FIOS remote so it helps the learning curve tremendously.

I set up my Harmony 650 for my Samsung LCD TV, Comcast cable converter, ReplayTV video recorder, ROKU LT, Visio sound bar and partially set it up for my Panasonic DVD recorder/player. I was able to set it up for doing most functions. However I had some trouble setting up the Harmony for playing back from the ReplayTV but found and followed their instructions to get it done. The Harmony works ok but is a bit tedious to operate, requiring several steps to switch between the various units. Also most of the buttons are pretty small, so it's easy to select the wrong function by accidentally hitting the adjacent button.

I have three of these remotes setting up the first one took some work I would probably recommend the geek squad but,once it is set up it makes things so much easier than having multiple remotes to deal with.

Bought this for my husband because I was tired of straightening up remotes everytime I cleaned. He got it Christmas morning, we hooked the remote into the computer and downloaded all the necessary items we wanted to to control. Then BOOM! We were in business to control sound system, tv, and PS3! Bye bye annoying remotes!

Works as advertised simplifying multiple remotes. Does not work well with my 70"samsung projection 1080 HD TV

This is my third remote for my house like this I have one in each room and would not want any other remote.

This remote can truly replace the individual remotes for all IR controlled devices in a full HT set-up (smart TV, DVR, blu-ray, gaming console, receiver). Programing through your computer is very quick and easy, with most buttons getting assigned automatically. Being able to customize unused buttons, or change the functions assigned is very useful, and the lcd screen allows pages of additional "buttons" to be added. The only thing that would improve this remote would be the addition of a qwerty keyboard to the back to simplify set up of smart devices - even my Vizio TV remote has that feature. Finally, and perhaps the most important point, my wife and young children can easily understand how to use it without having been the one to have programmed the unit.

I love my remote. It controls all of my devices. No more trying to find the right one. Only problem is that the batteries need to be replaced more frequently than my standard remotes. Small price to pay for the convenience.

This remote is compatible with everything. I love that it lights up when you pick it up. Best remote ever.

I have used this model many times to simply system operations. Does its job once programmed. More than one time now trying to get the MyHarmony app/software to load correctly on my computer has been very time consuming :(
