don't spend $300 on a remote. this one works just as good as the harmony one and it was $60.

Obviously there are a few options out there that do a few more things and have a few more features, but for the money, this is a tough product to beat. I bought one 8 years ago, and just had to replace it.

I am soooo glad I bought this. Now I only have to find and use one remote to control the TV, DVD player, Cable box and XM Radio and their volumes! Easy to set up and use. Just got it for Christmas so can't comment on durability, but doesn't look like that should be a problem. Quality feel to it.

This is such a fantastic device! I have several components to deal with when I want to watch a movie or access Netflix. All I have to do is hit one button and it automatically changes my surround sound setting, DVD player setting and TV setting. It is amazing!

Good remote. Can't program some missing functions

The Harmony 650 is a good universal remote. It recognized all the devices that I added. However, the default settings for the Motorola DCX3400 DVR is missing many functions. For example, when searching through the TV listings, you can't jump a day ahead or day back like you are able to do on the Comcast remote. I tried assigning this function to one of the unused keys using the learning mode. The programming says it was successful, but it still doesn't work. Overall, this remote is good. It is easy to set up and use. I just wish the default settings for my DVR was more complete or I could have the remote learn the functions I want.

Harmony multi functional remotes do their job. The only issue that I have is that if you drop it you usually have to start the components again because the remote sometimes stops working as it should. Not always though...

I never looked at these before because I thought they were too expensive. Then I bought a Model 700 for myself. It was pretty cool. When BB had these on sale after Thanksgiving, I bought 2 to give as Christmas presents. Should have bought 1 or 2 more. Everyone loves their new best friend!

I have had to reprogramme the harmony 650 3 times due to changes in my setup. The sync process works very well. I would prefer to have the config on my pc instead of at myharmony.com. the keys can be reprogrammed to do selected functions. I have found the standard layout works and is easy to use

    Awesome Universal Remote

This remote was used to replace remotes for my Sony soundbar, Sanyo TV, LG blu-ray player, and Comcast cable box. Originally I was worried Sanyo would not be on the list of compatible devices, but this the Harmony knew the exact TV. The set up is straight forward Harmony requires a free "membership" kind of thing after downloading the app to your computer with just your name and email and then there are step by step instructions from there. Model numbers are required for the remote to recognize your devices and then you set up your different activities. This remote does everything I wanted it to. The only problem I ran into was timing after upgrading my surge protector to a Monster green power. The timing is slightly off because the surge protector only allows power to flow to the other devices if the TV is on, but the remote allows you to mess with the timing of everything so it will be an easy fix. Overall this is the perfect remote for me without breaking the bank.

This is a decent product. It occasionally forgets which program was entered, and can be rather pushy about fixing problems, but overall it works as advertised and the online programming is easy and efficient.

My 88 year old parents wanted a new home theater system, but when they saw the complication of using 4 remotes, they were a bit put off. The Harmony remote allows them to simply control all their devices from 1 remote and now they LOVE their 4k TV and 5.1 sound!

The ergonomics of the remote are excellent, well laid out and comfortable in the hand. The signal strength is adequate, but sometimes requires more careful pointing depending on the equipment being used. The Harmony software has been improved over the years but could still use some features to give the user more flexibility and control over the events. The software also suffers from a minor bug occasionally loosing connection with the remote during update. The database which contains the remote codes is extremely comprehensive, I was surprised that it included codes for my floor fan and an obscure HDMI switch. Bottom line: could stand some inprovements but still the best universal remote out there.

    Replacement for a Harmony One

I bought this to replace my old Logitech Harmony One that had a damaged screen. Since they no longer offer the Harmony One, and the replacement unit is more like a touch-screen phone or Windows 8 screen, I decided to go lower tech, and at much less cost. I was able to use my prior Logitech on line set up for the controls, so it was a breeze to set up the remote. I find it easy to use, with only a slight sensitivity issue with the "OK" button. (I just have to be quick and gentle when activating the button) Works well with all of my components and after two months of regular use the AA batteries are still working fine.
