I love my home theater again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote has changed the way that I watch my home theater. I've stayed away from expensive universal remotes in the past, because I've had bad experiences with inexpensive remotes that didn't allow me to fully utilize everything in my home theater. Though it's not the very top of thee line, it does everything that I need it to do, and much more. I really like the online programming feature. Instead of inputting a series of button presses for generic brand codes, you select your actual device from a drop down menu. There's no need to "try" a half dozen codes for your brand. You simply select your device, and it's gonna work. I also like the macro functions which all you to turn on/off a series of devices, as well as, automatically set the TV input and receiver modes with a single press of a button. Now I just have to teach my wife how to use it.

Works!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went from having to use 4 remotes down to just using the Harmony 650. At first I thought the set-up process was going to be a bit difficult but the app was easy to use and took me step by step. No problems yet. I have recommended to family and friends.

Logitech Got It Right
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote is my 4th Logitech 650 purchase. It was either for me or my mom in-law. Nevertheless, the ability to plug it in and type a few model numbers and setup everyday fuction is SUPERB. This is the very best $40 addition to any entertainment setup.

Easy to set up and use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote will work with most devices, including a sound bar and the directv genie. It was easy to set up via the computer. It makes life much easier. The backlight is a little dim, but it is ok. Would recommend

Great Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a superb device. Easy to set up for someone with a bit of experience. The highlight is that once set up, the device can be easily used by even the most casual users. The motion activated light up feature makes it easy to find and appears ready to go every time you touch it.

Second time purchased same item
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Eliminates multiple remote controls. One button to turn on and off tv, cable, and receiver. Controls volume, tv guide, recordings, etc. Occasionally some items do not work properly, but easily fixed.

I feel that it worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My thoughts are that the device will probably work better with newer devices. I have an older Plasma ; an old Time warner unit; JVC surround that has no remote. I had an older model of Radio Shack universal and it was not worth it . This is a much better unit. I have seen it work well.

Great remote but
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this remote for about a month now and I simply love it. This is my 4th harmony remote. One went bad on me where the buttons didn't work anymore and they were critical buttons. I could have mapped them to other buttons but if the volume or power buttons don't work that seems to me not ideal buttons to set to other buttons. This remote is set up to 3 devices right now. I mapped all the extra buttons that I knew I would need/use. I have a DVR as one of my devices and this remote is missing a couple buttons I liked having for DVR features. A cheaper model of harmony remotes have the buttons but this one does not. I love the lcd screen that shows you extra buttons you may find important to use. I find myself using those buttons more and more.

Great Upgrade!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had an older Harmony I purchased at Costco several years back.. It was a solid remote, until recently.. It started eating 4AAA batteries a week. The hunt was on a few a new remote. My receiver is an onkyo, and it is more difficult to find remotes that can drive it. The Harmony line of remotes all can, when I found this online for around 70$ about what I paid for my previous remote I picked one up. The Setup software can be confusing and it took me a few configuration attempts to get everything turned on and working for 1 button press (our Directv receiver turns off after 4 hours the remote assumes it is on) .. After that was solved the remote has been awesome.. The best bonus feature is the motion activated button illumination.. I used to have to know where the glow button was.. I love this feature when watching movies. 8 weeks going still same batteries! Great upgrade, and I am more then happy to buy a new Harmony for sub $100 ever 8 years or so!

Awesome Universal Remote for multiple devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Samsung Smart TV which comes with a fairly basic plastic remote. After accidentally breaking the remote my TV came with, it became very difficult to use the TV's "Smart" features due to the button layout on the TV itself (pretty much you can't control the volume, while using a Smart TV App). Rather than waiting the week it would have taken to order a replacement remote online, I decided to buy the Logitech Harmony Remote since it said it would work for my TV. It was really simple to get setup and works great! I'm able to use all the features of my Smart TV without any issues. I also like that I was able to program it for more than one device since TV remotes seem to disappear around my house and when needed I can just grab this one to use until the other remote resurfaces. I also like that there is a backlight for the keys, which my original remote for the Samsung was lacking.

Nice remote!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice remote... eliminates about 6 remotes for me. It still seems complicated to me (had it 3 weeks now) but I am at the age where brains no longer can handle technology, lol.

Easy Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote is an easy setup though there was some difficulty identifying the manufacturer of the cable box from Spectrum. For the money, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Best remote I've ever owned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only would I recommend this remote, I've bought one for my exwife, my parents and my (now) exgirlfriend. It's so easy to configure and can control most every piece of equipment I can think of (not the Chromecast, but that's Chromecast's fault).

The Harmony remote may be outdated tech
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Back in the day (like circa 2006), the Harmony remote was a nifty piece of tech, and I owned a few different models over the years. Nowadays, I'm not so sure how relevant it is, and the technology really hasn't evolved much since then. Programming the remote, using a PC or Mac app downloaded from the Logitech website, was fairly easy, but seemed a little more involved than necessary. And it seemed like every couple weeks, something would go wrong with the remote, and I would have to reprogram it. After two or three times, this started getting a little frustrating. Also, it simply takes too long for the remote to send signals, even just to three devices, forcing you to keep it pointed at the devices for anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds when turning things on, and 5 to 10 seconds when turning things off. If you put the remote down too soon, something doesn't get turned on or off, and the whole system is messed up the next time you want to use it, because the remote assumes everything went right the last time you used it. Again, frustrating. In a house of three ADHD kids (and probably us adults too), I can't even estimate how many times this happens. It didn't take long before we all just stopped using it and went back to using the mediocre universal remote that pretty much every cable/satellite provider gives you.

Super remote made easy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With this remote you need to download the program on your PC. After doing so it is super easy to totally customize the remote to control everything from cable/satellite, TV, Surround sound system, and what ever else uses a remote.
