excellent product. combines all my remotes into one. Does a great job of providing one button access to watch TV, DVD's, or other selections with the activities button. Also provides excellent access to devices on an individual basis.

We have multiple rooms with multiple media components. I got tired of having 3-4 remotes to use just to turn things on. I found this remote and it has been so great that I bought a second one for our office! I also bought one for my parents!

Takes time to set up properly, but is very customizable...if you take the time and have the patience. Only bad thing: backlight for keys is not bright enough and you have to shake it too vigorously to wake it up.

Programming harmony items used to be so much easier. Took ten tries to get things to work the way i was wanting - wizard seems less intuitive now. This is my third Logitech remote. Loved my harmony one. Less in love with Ultimate and this remote.

I've used many universal remotes--super expensive custom ones (i.e. nevo, universal, rti) to do-it-yourselfers that don't sync to your computer. This one is a fantastic balance, easy to set-up, reliable, and affordable. Have one in each room.

Recently moved to Direct TV and they didn't have universal remote capabilities, This remote is awesome, it controls my TV, Blue Ray, Cable etc and switches the component receiver with one touch of a button.

My old remote finally went bad after 7 years. It was extremely durable and expensive. I paid about $1100 for it back in 2006 but that is when 50" and 60" DLP's and LCD's were in the $5,000 to $6,000 range. This is a good remote for the money. It appears durable thus far as I have dropped it several times on a carpeted floor and no damage. Pretty foolproof and easy to set up. Just very tricky if you have an old Directv receiver. I had to go online to the troubleshooting site and it listed different codes for the Directv receiver and I just used a different code than the receiver I had and now it works perfect. I have had for several months and don't want to jinx it but it appears thus far to be working fairly well.

I don't need to activate things from my smart phone or turn on my lights with a smart remote so I thought this was perfect, but... It often fails to turn on/off all products at once even though I'm confident that I'm aiming it at the central point of all items needed. About 30% of the time I need to hit the help button to fix the issue. The price point is nice and I love the buttons such as guide, channel up and down, volume, and page up/down. I have one of these for each room, but if I did it over again, I'd try a higher end model.

This is a great remote for a simpler system. It is super easy to program and reprogram when you add/change devices. It also fixes itself quite well. I would recommend this for anyone who has a simpler setup. I love not having 4 remotes laying around anymore!

I was getting tired of grabbing 3 remotes to turn on the TV. If my receiver wasn't part of the system, I'd be down to 2 remotes. But, to turn on the system and turn it off, grabbing the Logitech Harmony 650 is better. However, I sometimes grab the original remote to channel surf. The OEM remotes are just plain simpler. Less buttons. You have remember when you turn on the system or turn off the system, the Harmony 650 is running a script of Infrared light codes. You have to keep the remote pointed at the TV, DVR, and Receiver for several seconds. Sometimes, I'll forget and something either doesn't turn on or doesn't turn off. Then everything is out of sync. It's not perfect, but it does what it's supposed to do.

I needed a remote that took over the function of 4 other remotes. Setup was easy. I had to call customer service at Logitech because one of the functions wasn't working for my SmartTV. They had the issue resolved in about 10 minutes.

The setup process is identical to that of previous Logitech Harmony remotes. You connect the 650 to your Internet-connected Windows PC or Mac with the supplied USB cable, install the model-specific version of Harmony software (downloaded from Logitech's Web site), and answer a fairly simple online questionnaire. You simply choose your home-theater components from a list, explain how they're connected, and define their roles in activity-based functions, such as "Watch TV," "Watch DVD," and "Listen to music." For each function, you specify which devices and inputs the remote must enable. You can also choose which keypad functions will "punch through" to which specific devices--always having the channel buttons control the cable box or the volume controls dedicated to the TV, for instance. After you've completed the questionnaire, the software uploads all the relevant control codes to the Harmony 650.

Quick and easy set up. Easy to use. Push the watch tv button and all your devices that you set up to watch tv will come on and be ready to use. Great when you have company and they have no clue what to push.

Really enjoying this remote. You have to download their software, though, in order to program the remote correctly, but after a few steps, it's all set to go.
