The setup and usage is pretty straightforward. The tool you download to set up different activities (play a movie) is very well done. Though none of these devices are perfect this one was pretty easy with just a little patience.

How many 'universal remotes' have you had that proved to be complicated (or impossible) to configure for your system and still didn't do 100% of the job? Well, this unit is NOT one of those. It was straight forward to set up, worked 100% the first time, and fully configures my system (TV, DVD, Cable Box, Video Amp) for music, TV or DVD. Some of this equipment is over 10 years old, so I really didn't expect this to work but my wife's frustration with 4 separate remotes convinced me to give it a try. She is overjoyed! Bought another for my son-in-law since his media system confuses me! One word of caution--you do need to know how your components are connected and what settings they use. With that, the web enabled set up is a breeze. Enjoy remote happiness.

Logitech Harmony remotes with their "activity-based" programming are, IMHO, the best and easiest to configure consumer-level "universal" remotes. I own several different models of Logitech Harmony remotes, some of which are pretty darned expensive. The Harmony 650 remote is relatively inexpensive for a Harmony remote, yet is still quite capable of handling complex activities and a wide range of devices. For example, I use the 650 in a playroom for my toddler grandkids, a setting where I don't want to risk damage to a $300 remote. I use the Harmony 650 in this room to control the usual TV, cable box, DVD player, and Roku box, and also to control a window air conditioner and a Logitech Squeezebox Radio. It was very easy to configure all of these devices and activities, and my wife, kids, and grandkids (well, the grandkids are still working on it) find the remote easy to use. The biggest downsides to the 650 is that the display panel is a bit small, and it's not really possible to rearrange the order in which activities are displayed in that panel. Those are not showstoppers in my opinion.

This is my second Logitech harmony and it is even better than the first. The web based programming is much easier to use and it definitely beats using 5 remotes to control all of my entertainment products. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This was the easiest controller to setup. It works great with all my devices. I really like the way the control screen lights up with just a slight movement so you can see the control functions in the dark.

With one push of a button you can watch TV or your DVD. If you want to watch TV, the product turns on the TV player, the TV and the sound system. Likewise if you want to watch a DVD, it turns off the TV player and turns on the DVD, TV and the sound system. When you are done one button turns off the entire system.

Gave this as a gift to friends. They have had nothing but great things to say about it. They love the ability to program the remote and then just push one button to make everything work. I personally own an older Harmony One remote and love it.

I have used an older Harmony for a long while. It would only control 4 devices and wasn't as easy on batteries as I would have liked. This new model controls more and seems better as far as battery consumption. Operationally they both functioned fine.

Save yourself the head of using multiple remotes, it's idiot prove, like smart TV's the remote provides one stop shopping. I have a DVD player, Apple TV, a receiver and smart TV and the remote transitions me through its one device mobility seamlessly. If you're combining multiple device it's a must have compliment!

I replaced a Harmony One (dog destroyed) with this model. The only difference is the lack of a touch screen. I do not miss it, as the buttons are handy. I am controlling four devices seamlessly. Relatively easy learning curve (easier for me, I'm sure, as I had the other model for years), intuitive and user friendly.

i was hesitant to buy a universal remote because my devices have specific functions not found in a typical univ. remote. when it was offered at half the original price, i decided to give it a shot. it does everything the original remote does, although you do have to program it to your machine(s). programming was not a problem, as the website has a comprehensive database of manufacturers and models (even obscure models like my devices). and the programming directions on the website were intuitive and easy to follow. also, at half off, i got a remote for 4 of my devices at the price of one original replacement remote. my only complaint is the remote's lower buttons are a little awkward to handle for someone with large hands.

Take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of where the buttons are, how to navigate the menus, etc. it's nice to only need 1 remote. It will take some trial and error to get the most used functions to not be buried 3 clicks deep.

This is my 5th or 6th Logitech remote, and I'll never buy another brand. I've got 2 700's and a 650 right now. I've had the 700's for over 5 years and they work like the day I bought them and never become obsolete. This is because you download the remote updates online, and the online list is updated constantly as newer models come out. If you get a new TV or DVD player, no problem--your remote will still work. You just reprogram it to work with the new additions. If you have something special, no problem--you just let the remote learn the signals from the original remote--you can even name the commands whatever you like. Amazing product.

It made my life easier. :) I have 7 remotes in my mancave and got rid all of it after i bought the logitech 650 remote! It's just perfect! I thought that it's not compatible with my very old 100 disc pioneer jukebox but it works like a charm. I bought the adapter for the playstation and works perfectly.

I looked at several others that where 100's of dollars and this one is so easy to use. It does take a few minutes to set it up because u have to hook it to your computer. But once u get it set up it rocks. 1 button to turn on every u need to turn on the devices u need to watch tv, listen to music, etc.

Bought new TV, sound Bar and BlueRay. wanted a remote to control all. decided to go a little high tech and glad i did. Am electrionicaly challenged and this remote was easy to set up. just went to web site, plugged in model numbers, and it was done. still have to go back online and try to get fancier with it....

Remote is easy to use. No more fumbling with 3 remotes to watch a movie! One button turns on the tv and stereo. Just click one button and the system switches to the DVDS player. Click another button and the systems switches to the gaming system.

If I had not hired the Geek squad I would have returned it. It took him awhile to program it even though he does it all the time. I don't think I would have had the patience or skill level. Now it works great and we only have one remote out!

This remote is a very good value for money. Could I have used a more advanced remote, sure, but for what I paid for this, it is very good. I get the activities that I use all the time without any hassle. It recognized all my devices. One complaint I have is it takes a little too long (in seconds) sometimes to switch between activities, so if you move the remote away, it ends up not completing the switch in entirety and then you gotta press Help for it to re-try. But overall I'm happy with its functions.

Good remote for your basic needs. For example regular flat screen tv's, cable or satellite, blu ray or dvd, music cd. Probably not good for smart TV's. Works great, easy to set up. One button push to start any activity and control it.
