The 650 takes a while to turn everything on and off, and it seems to go though a bunch of worthless steps along the way.

Hard to program

It replaced a six year old remote of the same model, so once programmed, I knew how to use it and now works just fine.

It was difficult to program because the instructions were inadequate. Also, the electronic devices attached to this remote do not always work properly with this device.
