I love that this remote can turn everything on seamlessly without having to deal with so many remotes. However, it does require patience when turning on as you need to keep it pointed at the tv for longer than usual.

I was very excited to get my first Harmony remote over black friday holiday. It was on sale for only 50 bucks and I could purchase it online and avoid the madness in the stores. The first thing I encountered when I opened it was the impossible to open battery cover. Supposedly, you can squeeze down on the tab and pull down and it will slide off. Needless to say that was not the case for me, I tried knives, screw drivers, fingernails. Finally I just got fed up and decided to squeeze it until I thought I was going to break and it pull down while trying to wedge the bottom off with a screw driver and it slid off. That was my biggest hassle with this remote, which may just be an isolated issue or user error. Set up was super easy with the website and it was fairly easy finding all of the model numbers for my devices to set it up. The activity buttons make it so easy to get ready to watch a movie or play a game, or even just listen to music. I have all of my electronics plugged in to a hdmi splitter and I like not having to switch the source whenever I want to switch from xbox to playstation. Also, if you've never owned a harmony remote before you should know it remembers which devices are already on when switching between activities. So you won't be turning off your tv if you have it set to turn your tv on, switch to input source 2, turn on your surround sound setup and whatever settings you have to play your playstation and you have the same settings for your bluray player. Probably something you should expect from a more expensive remote but I found it to be nifty. Also, you can set up different buttons to serve specific functions for different devices for even more convenience. So you don't have to navigate through the little LED screen to find an option you use frequently. I've had it for a little while now and I've had no problems with it. It automatically turns itself off after it's been sitting down for a while. Once you pick it up the LED screen lights up and it's ready to go. Saves on batteries as I can imagine it would kill them pretty quickly otherwise. Overall I can't find anything I don't like about this remote except for the battery cover door. That thing was a bit of a pain.

You have to be a bit of a computer nerd to get this set up correctly using the myharmony app. However, if you are you will be rewarded with a remote that can help you quickly and easily tame the many devices that need to work well together. I use it for a TV that most often gets content by Apple TV and sends sound out over a professional sounder rather than crappy TV speakers. As you can imagine, these devices do not work together properly out of the box, but once the remote is set up the control of all 3 devices in the proper way is really wonderful and mostly seamless. There is a help button for when do go wrong that gets things back on track with 1 to 3 simple questions. This remote is highly customizable, can control several devices (and thus can be moved from room to room) and features an LCD screen that can be used to trigger favorite channels or for custom remote control activities. If you have lots of stuff hooked up to your TV, I consider this a must. They go on sale from time to time and are not that bad when not on sale. Main downside is that programming takes effort and tweaks/adjustments take the same amount of substantial effort, so loss of one star for that.

This device works exactly as expected. The codes available control devices that DVR remotes could not. The ability to program it via the web app is a real plus. We have three of these to control devices in different rooms.

I had two Logitech remotes already but one (a previous 650) was not responsive when buttons were pushed. This is a replacement. This remote was more responsive from day 1. The old one was good for a year or so but even when it was new it was not as nice as the new one. We have an LG TV, an LG Blu-ray, a Sony sound bar and a Roku 3. as well as using a Google Chrome (I like gadgets). It is crazy to deal with all the different remotes to control things. Using this has not been without difficulty - some of which are my own because I use a power strip that cuts power to secondary items when they are not in use. The Sony sound bar will not turn on regularly when connecting to the Roku or Blu-ray. I played with the time delays to turn it on (which worked for the other TV with another sound system). I finally plugged it into an active plug. The second thing I have not worked out is having the remote switch inputs when the TV is turned on and I am using another item other than the one we were using when it was shut off (such as watch TV when we were watching Roku when it was shut off). The help button works and corrects the problem but for some reason it will not work correctly from the start. Once the TV is on I can switch to other units and it works fine. This may also be something related to the power strip but I would not think so because the TV has power all the time. These are minor problems that we know about and it is great to use one remote rather than chase the correct one. The Roku is now correctly showing as a different unit. Before, the original Roku was showing as a DVD but it did have Netflix and another button. The Logitech software is obstinate occasionally and does not update the unit so it must be unplugged from the PC and re attached. This is usually only a problem when constantly trying to get something working like I was. Once set up it is great and it is usually easy to update with new items.

The best universal remote controller i ever bought.quick and easy set up through the computer,all you need is the model numbers and brand of you devices you need to control. No need to press tons of buttons to program it .

I bought this in the hope that i could get rid of all the remotes I had and was I surprised. It worked like a charm. Just took a few minutes to set up but after that, 1 button turns everything on. It works like a dream.

This remote is fantastic. It is simple to set up (but you need each of your devices' product numbers), and even simpler to use. Just a note, it does NOT control a PS3...just in case. It's still a 5 star product in my book.

I bought a new Samsung 4K TV and the universal remote that came with the TV would not work with some of my existing components. I bought this remote. Instructions were good. Easy to program all my components. Works great.

Buy this remote before Logitech discontinues it; it's crazy, but the Harmony remotes are the best. The only think I don't like is that the 4 action buttons atop the remote default from left to right as 1, 2, 3, 4 and no matter what other activities you add to the screen portion below, those first for activities show first--what's the point of having 4 quick access buttons on the top of the remote if to access beyond the 4th event for your set up you have to scroll through 2 pages that are the exact same activities as the first four activities?

Great universal remote. Easy to setup and to use. Was able to setup our 5 components and reduced the ridiculous amount of remotes we had of our entertainment center

this is a good remote if you are looking to replace your current remotes with one that controls everything for your system setup. logitech makes very good product.

I have four Harmony remotes for my different TV's. They all work well and are easy to replace if one needs to be changed. They are fairly easy to set up with your computer and the model numbers of your devices.

It's so easy to operate the TV, Blu-ray, sound system, our DVD/VCR, plus get movies and other things over the Internet. Got rid of multiple remotes for just one.

The remote is a little difficult to set up but once you have all you product item numbers to load, it works fine. Easy to use and understand. Would buy again.

This remote I got for my in-laws. The way these harmonies function with multiple devices are amazing. It's not just a universal remote. You push one button after you set up an activity and it turns on everything required to operate that function. So TV, Cable box and Sound bar for example with all be turned on with the press of one button. This is the entry level one so it is made of slightly cheaper materials than other ones made by them but it serves its purpose well.

I have used this same model of remote for many years now and is very dependable, can operate a good amount of devices, I use this remote with the logitech wireless extenders and works very well, highly reccomended.

This Harmony 650 Universal Remote replaces 5 separate remotes. We now have one button each for TV, DVD or music. Set up was easy and it works great. We love it.

I didn't have time to review different controllers when my old one fell into a glass of water. I got it to work with the dvr and tv and it's a pretty good unit. I don't plan to add others at this time though.

I have had harmony remotes in the past and the concept is great. But always had trouble getting the corect devices and the flow of the macros .... This was much better and the setup was easier and first time correct.
