Great remote!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works well in consolidating multiple remotes. Need to be a little tech savvy to setup. All of my components (some 10 yrs old) were recognized during programming. You will need to download an app to your pc or Mac and then connect the 650 via supplied cable to program. Includes a lot of functionality to program specific nuances needed for your specific system. Buttons are well placed and easy to use with one thumb. One improvement would be if the top 3 rows of activity buttons were back lighted like all the other buttons. Overall, very happy with performance so far.

Great universal remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Earlier this week I purchased an LG 3D TV. It came with a generic LG sound bar. HD cable box remote would work the tv when programmed with one of the several different 4 digit codes(not all features) but would not program for the soundbar. Now I have 3 remotes to use. Searched Best Buy for a universal remote. This one was on sale and average user rating was decent. Went to Logitech website, put in my device model numbers and they were all compatible with the remote. Even the generic soundbar? Bought it. Attached it to computer. Downloaded and installed the software. Used the software to input my device model numbers setup the remote. The software actually asks which device you use to do specific activities and then syncs it up. Unplug from computer and it worked perfectly. Some of the special tv functions like 3D mode are in device specific menus. Once I found this out, all functions for the tv are available. I have removed the batteries from the other individual remoted and put them in a drawer. They are not needed. I HIGHLY recommend this remote!!

Terrific Universal Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seeking a universal remote to use for my home theater system, I turned to Harmony and bought the model 650. After going through the dirt simple online setup and entering all the pertinent information about my components, I was off and running with the device right away. The remote does everything I want, allowing me to watch TV, a movie or listen to the radio with the press of just one button. For $79.99, the 650 is more than worth the money for the simplicity it offers when it comes to operating multiple components.

best remote for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have often looked at getting a remote but never wanted to spend $200 and have this big thing that was big as the remotes i was replacing . So i had read some reviews I got this remote on sale for $75. I get it home it is no bigger or heavier then any of the remotes. You have to get all of your product model numbers but when you do set up is a snap you have to go to the web site and down load the software which it could have been a little bit more clear in the owners manual on how to do that then you hook up your remote to the computer follow the screens and it tells you what to do and everything worked the first time there is a help button right on the remote which fixes most any small problem if you really know what you are doing you can set up the buttons they you want them which is cool here is my set up tv, receiver, dvr cable box, ps3 and xbox 360 remote controls all of them yes even the xbox 360 and ps3 but for the ps3 you do have to buy a $60 add on to get it to work which kinda of sucks. with the push of a button it turns on what you need and puts eveything to the right settings if you have to many remotes then this is for you i could go on and on about it if you have more then five things you will need to spend more money and get the next serires up or so but for most people this should work fine

Dont buy any other remote!!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't review but have to on this amazing remote. Anyone that doesn't like this remote probably doesn't know what it can do. Or they are a tard:) If you have any problems with the remote watch the videos on the software. Don't call customer service, you will get an Indian pretending to be American. No other universal remote would work on my samsung home theater. This one not only worked but had every command!!!! You also program it all on the computer( no looking for number codes) if a button doesn't work you just drag and drop the command to the button you want it on then sync... done. WOW

Nice Universal Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a solution to a problem. The problem was my wife is not real technical on the TV/Video/Stereo equipment. I have a Sony universal remote but it is not real user friendly. She will call and ask me or the kids how to watch a DVD or listen to the Apple TV. I wanted a device that would handle all of my devices and provide the activity for my wife to select. It does exactly that and more. I downloaded the software for setting up the remote and tried the one online. For some reason the online interface at Logitech was much easier to me. When she wants to watch a DVD it Turns on the TV, selects the right input, powers up the DVD, turns on the amp and selects the right input. Now she pops the DVD into the player and adjust the volume and DVD with the remote. If something does not work right the Help button is amazing. It will correct the problem thru prompts like "Is the TV on?".

My experience for a universal control
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this product. I used to have 5 remote controls sitting on the desk and I don't even know how to open TV anymore. There are controls for PS2, DVD, TV, Cable and Nintendo. I was so confused. With this product, I am able to do what I want it to do without looking for remote everywhere.

Excellent 'few-device' remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this remote after sitting back and watching the $39 price slip by a year ago during Black Friday sales, so I picked up 3 this year first thing. I have been using a Harmony One for about 4 years now, and love that remote. Yes, it was expensive, quite a bit more than this 650 model, but it also has tons more features, better build quality and really set the standard for me for what an all-in-one remote can & should do. For this purchase, I wanted to de-clutter our living room much like the One did for my media room (PS3/XBox/Apple TV/Cable Box/Receiver/Projector). Luckily, though & due to the 5-device limit of the 650, I was able to easily set up control for a Samsung plasma, Apple TV, Sony BluRay, Cable Box & a Sony Soundbar AV unit. Initially, the old Silverlight software wasn't recognized by my computer and wouldn't let me complete the set up. Logitech has since I last updated my One, moved to an online cloud based software, which I like a LOT better than the old interface. Everything is still there, but it's accessible by any computer now. Once the install was done, the setup was a breeze, just keying in the Name & Model Number of most devices. Nothing came back with any errors and I was able to nail all 5 settings (Watch TV, Watch BluRay, Watch Apple TV, Listen to Radio, Listen to AirPlay) on the first try. Overall, the build quality is sub-par to the One, but that's expected for the price. The retail of $79 to me is a bit steep, and feel that $49 or $59 should be the msrp. Overall, the screen is also less attractive but does the job. The feel is much of the Harmony One, but you do know the thinner feeling plastic & edges that it's the cheaper version. But again, for the $39 price, these aren't complaints as much as comparisons. I'd easily suggest this to anyone looking to de-clutter their living area to a single remote. So, is it perfect...no. It's no Control 4 and will only control your AV equipment and again, it's ONLY 5 total pieces of kit, so make sure you know that before diving in. If you have more than 5 devices you want to control, you will need to look at the more expensive models. Otherwise, for a less AV based area (living room, bedroom), this is perfect. The other 2 we purchased were for a gift & for our bedroom TV/Apple TV/BluRay set up. Simply put, it's a hard remote to beat. But, for $79, there may be better choices. At $39, this is a no brainer.

I love Harmony remotes!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 5th or 6th Harmony remote and I love it just like the rest. So easy to program. Never out of date. Easy if you are upgrading you can just copy the settings from the old device via your myharmony account. I would love to have nothing but the discontinued Harmony One but they sell for so much more its just not worth it. This one is great.

Works pretty well. Replaces 3 Remotes!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this setup to control 5 devices currently. I like the setup and how I can change many of the settings, buttons, etc to do what I want. I wish I could go farther, but I'll live with this. My TV is such that I need to change modes one at a time, which makes switching from "Watch TV" to "Watch Movie" a little slower than I like, but the 1-button "Watch Movie" mode is so helpful. Suggested for a computer savvy buyer or if you know someone like that to support you. This could be a good gift for anyone who doesn't like needing 3+ remotes just to watch a DVD.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent product, but have found several minor problems. Never received notice of "download complete," during initial setup with remote attached via USB to PC. Remote buttons are very small and wrong numbers are pressed on occasion. Transition from "Smart Hub" to TV is not that easy. Regardless, I am very happy with this remote.

I really like this remote!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Logitech Harmony TC-30 was on its last legs so I thought I would give this one a try. It was on sale on Black Friday for $39.99 so I thought "What the heck?". Anyways, this remote has been great. Very easy to set up. Very good rubber buttons (better than the plastic ones that broke on my TC 30). Battery life seems not too bad. I have had this since the end of November and I am still using the same batteries. I use this remote every day and it is great. The "One Touch and Everything is on" features are awesome. If I want to watch TV, it is just one button. If the setup forgets to change the source, you just have to hit the Help button and it fixes the setup right away. You can go from gaming to TV to DVD to stereo without any troubles. I have seen other reviews stating the battery life is not good but I have had no issues. Again, I consider myself an average user so perhaps the battery life is acceptable for most. This is not rechargeable. I kind of wish it was but I'm not paying $200 for that feature. I am totally hooked on this remote.

Great Universal Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the one to buy if you are looking for an all-in-one remote. It is extremely easy to set up using the internet (and if you don't get it right the first time, you can easily adjust the settings), it is the right size for most home systems (do you really need a remote that controls a dozen or more components), the price is right, it's easy to use, and it looks good. What more can you ask for. Oh, it is very reliable and can be reprogrammed when your system or viewing habits change. Don't get the rechargeable model, the cradle and remote do not sync well (you have to jiggle the remote to get the contacts to align), and it's not worth the additional price. PS - with the internet set-up (USB cable is provided), I cannot imagine there is any component that the unit will not control. They say 5000+ brands, and I believe it. You are probably still in the vacuum tube age if your component isn't listed, in which case you don't deserve the remote.

Excellent Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My second Harmony 650. Yes the previous 3 year old model had battery issues. The were loose inside compartment which would reset the remote. Many many people complained of this. But alas! Harmony fixed this problem. The new remote I purchased today works great. Batteries are tight as they should be. This was an excellent remote before. And better in it's current version. Highly recommend.

Nice buy. I would buy it again as a gift.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The remote is nice that you can combine 5 remotes into it. Don't drop it, or turn off your componants manually ( using the on/off on electronic itself ), it has to then go thru a resetting phase. It really doesn't take long, less then a minute, I just find it aggrivating. When I say drop, I don't mean from a standing position, don't let it roll off the couch onto carpet, or toss it to someone and they miss and it lands on a couch cushion. Very sensitive when it comes to this. BUT, overall, it is a nice remote. It turns off automatically, and when you pick it up, it lights back up. I bought this as a gift for someone, and my husband got the same gift from the same person I bought it for!! Make sure you pay the extra $12 for the warranty on it.

Stupendis!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As countless have said, this remote is so easy to set up and operate with one touch of a button. The enclosed set-up instructions were so simple to follow. I even have a 14 year old Pioneer DVR and was able to add. If you want more detailed information, visit their website. Thank you Best Buy, for the sale price that was advertised on your website and was given in the store.

Ehhh... Don't pay full retail
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a good remote... just not great. We bought this as a Black Friday special, so it was only $39.99 w/ free shipping. I wouldn't pay any more for it. The Good: (Mostly) eliminates the need to juggle remotes The Not-So-Good: Programming is VERY limited, the curve on the bottom of the remote makes it slide off the end table onto the floor WAAAY to easily and the jolt resets the remote, on some devices the Harmony remote don't wait long enough after powering on the tv before switching between HDMI/AV/Component/etc and you have to end up doing it yourself no matter how long of a pause you program into the remote, if you have more than one Logitech Harmony remote in your household you have to setup SEPARATE accounts for each remote

Great remote.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product! Set up is easy and straight forward. I've had it a month now and have added additional devices to the remote with no trouble. The ability to tailor the buttons to my desires is a great feature. We now use only one remote instead of four!

Nice remote, good value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally bought the Ultimate One, which sells at a regular price of $250. There were some things about it that I didn't like, such as having to hit several buttons before you got the list of devices, and that there were no number buttons (pressing the buttons on the keypad didn't always work great). And while having a lithium ion battery is somewhat nice, it is another thing to remember to charge. So I tried this and like it more than the other one, for one-third the price. It can't control as many devices, but that isn't an issue for me. The display also isn't as colorful with as nice of graphics, but that isn't a big deal. I like the placement of the buttons better and that there is a numeric key pad. I will use this for a while and probably get the update to this when Logitech comes out with it.

Why have I not bought this sooner!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just started considering buying a universal remote this past weekend. So I took a trip to the store to check out the options. I settled on this model as a test case. Initial setup was a breeze, and all of my devices worked as advertised. The one touch feature to watch an activity (tv, movie, play game, etc.) is great! Simply touch the Watch a Movie button and my TV (set to the proper input) and DVD/Home Theater System all power up. Touch Play a Game and the DVD player powers off and the TV input switches and Xbox turns on! The remote also shows the xbox controller buttons on the led screen. I connected my TV, Directv, DVD/Home Theater system, Blue Ray and Xbox to this remote. It works like a charm. I will now be purchasing the more expensive model for my family room, so I can hide my components in a cabinet.
