Great gadget for narrowing down remotes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this remote on the advice of a friend who saw our 4 remotes laying on our coffee table that controlled our TV, Cable, Blu ray & receiver. He said we needed a Harmony remote. I waited for it to go on sale bec. I did not want to pay the $78 for it, but it was well worth the $39!!! So nice to only have to pick up one remote now to turn on the TV, Cable, adjust the sound and even watch a movie! Great little device. You need to have a little knowledge about your computer and electronic devices to sync it all, but basically, I did it w/out any problems and the website walks you through everything.

Excellent remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I purchased this remote I was using 5 different remotes for cable, VCR, DVD, Stereo and TV. It was ridiculous. I decided to purchase this remote because I could program up to 5 devices and it didn't cost as much as the one with all the bells and whistles. I absolutely love this remote. If something doesn't work, it has a help button that 'really helps' I haven't had any problems with it. I just need to figure out how I programmed my AUX up wrong. Other than that it works just fine.

Good remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great remote for the price. It controls my devices with no issues. Setup was easy, but I've had prior experience with my Harmony One remote so setup was smooth.

Its good - once you get it confgured
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good remote - once it configured properly, which is not easy to do. I had to sign up for Geek Squad installation, since after trying 3 times to program, I couldn't do it and I am tech savvy.

Great Value for Intermediate Setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was teeter-tottering between purchasing a new Harmony 900, one of which I already own and use in my living-room setup, and the Harmony 650 for my bedroom. After doing a cost-analysis as well as counting up the maximum number of devices that I would ever use in my bedroom, I decided on the Harmony 650. I must say that it is one of my better decisions made: it is intuitive and easy to use as well as setup. An even better indicator: my wife is less confused using the Harmony 650 than our Harmony 900 in the living room. It seems to be more responsive given the simpler interface.

Solid Lower-Cost Harmony Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this remote for my entertainment setup in my office. I use a Harmony One remote for our family room, and have had that one for over 2 years. I didn't want to pay over $100 for a second remote, so after some deliberation regarding various models, I ended up choosing the 650. Main reasons I chose this: - I needed to control 5 or less components (TV, soundbar, PS3, cable box, with room for 1 more#, which is the limit for this remote. - General layout of this remote is similar to my Harmony One, which makes for easier use based on familiarity. - My components are all out in the open #not hidden#, so I didn't need an IR extender. Overall, I'm very pleased with this remote. The plastic construction feels solid #I don't fear breaking it if I drop it#, and the remote is responsive...moreso than the Harmony One, which sometimes feels like it takes a second or two to register button presses. The color screen is of lower quality than the One, and it's not a touchscreen, but that really hasn't bothered me. Things of note that I don't like so much: - #not directly related to the 650 itself# The Logitech Harmony software functionality needs to be completely rethought. You can only have one remote programmed per account #you have to log in online to access this account and the programming functionality#. Thus, I had to create a second account #another log in name, another password, etc.#. Seems a bit silly... - It would be nice if this product had a charging base, like the One or the 900. I understand why it doesn't, since this is much lower in price. I'll just be using rechargeable AAs once the Duracells #which came with the remote) are used up. Overall, it's a very solid product, and would recommend to those looking for a highly functional universal remote at a reasonable price.

i like it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really easy too set up, works with everything in my home other than the ps3 of course, but sometimes wouldnt be able to turn on my tv and would reset itself and you would have to go through the menu options again just to use it which is a little anoying. Still nice for the price, got it on a black friday sale, and is a lot easier to have than a bunch of other remotes sitting around the house.

I'm impressed!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you buy this remote, you will not be disappointed! I was able to condense 4 remote controls into 1. This covered my Sharp tv, Apple TV, Bose sound bar, and android tv box. The setup was fairly easy. You plug the remote into your computer via USB cable. Download the software, and punch in your make/model number for each device. I ran into a couple snags with getting the final sync to happen, but rebooting the laptop and re-signing back in fixed the issue. Now, only 1 remote compared to 4. So much better!!

EXCELLENT, SUPERB
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't usually write reviews, but this universal remote was so easy to set up and use - I felt I had to submit a review. So much easier
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy with this purchase. I use the remote to control a TV, Blue-Ray, Comcast Cable Box and Speaker Bar. There are tons of ways to configure the system and the one-touch on is so great. I've had universal remotes before and you'd still have to select input modes manually when switching between components. Now I just push "play movie" and everything that needs to be on is magically on. There were a few issues during setup with downloading the software, and it took a little while to setup the different configurations, but it's fairly easy and Logitec offers phone support.

Great Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up with the app set up and computer connection. Replaced a Phillips universal remote and this one if far superior. Very easy to use, easy action buttons, button spacing is good. I didn't even have to show children how to use it since it is so intuitive. Definately would recomment. Takes about 30 minutes to set up so put the time aside at the beginning to get it the way you want it and then you'll never have to adjust it agian. As far as battery life it has been working with no low indicator for a month which is much better than the phillips that it replaced.

Good remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good remote. I had the Logitech 880 for a while and it broke. I didn't want to spend that kind of money on a universal again. When I saw this on BF price of $40, I jumped on it. It does all the same things as the more expensive 880. The only thing I don't like is that you can aonly set up 5 devices. So i am pretty much limited to upstairs or downstairs, unlike the 880 which let me use more devices and I could go room to room with it.

worth a try
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a worthwhile product that is a bit less than perfect. The quick set-up instructions, and the additional help online during set-up, are first-rate. They volunteered to program it for me at the store, but I figured there would be no way to test it there, so I did it myself. To my delight, each of my components was in the Harmony database, and once I fixed a couple of self-induced mistakes, all was OK. To make a long story short, the thing does what it's supposed to do -- most of the time, but not all. I find myself having to use the "help" button more than I'd like in order to get components on and off. Maybe it's my aim; I haven't had it long enough to be sure. That being said, you can always do what you want when you use help. One kind of nagging thing is that my beloved son has declined to learn how to use the Harmony and, as a result, he will still turn things on willy nilly, either manually or with the "old" remotes. As a result, Harmony gets confused. You MUST use this device to perform all-encompassing "activities," or you will be back to controlling things individually/manually (and you can do that with the Harmony, albeit with some clicks). On the whole, I like this thing, despite its shortcomings, and personally would not go back.

Uncomplicate your viewing & listening
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do you have a pile of remotes to control all the devices in your entertainment center - TV, DVD, CD player, cable box? This is the device to uncomplicate your viewing and listening. There's no need to find the right codes and go through a complicated programing to get it to work either. Just hook it up to your computer with the included cord, enter the devices and it programmed for you. Sit down and enjoy! This is what universal remote controls should be!

Great Remote
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First let me say, I didn't program the remote, Geek Squad did it. The remote works great, very intuitive and responsive. I use it with a 4k sony tv, a marantz receiver, an apple tv, comcast cable box, and a blue ray player.

Flexible programming options
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote offers flexible programming options to allow you to customize it to the various types of devices (more than just your TV) as well the ability to program different functions (e.g. watch NETFLIX, HULU, play a DVD, etc.) with one easy to use remote. Setting up the sequence of programming steps does require some forethought plus trial and error to get the correct steps in the proper sequence, but once you do, it works well.

Not worth the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this remote to control a TV, sound bar, DVD, and a direct TV box. There are no codes for miy Sony sound bar so I had to find one that "got close". It would not change the input so I had to re wire my audio to make it work. Strike one. The one touch buttons work the first time but if you want to change to a different input, it wont work. You then have to change the dvice functions manually to get it to the one you want. Strike two. I have to change the batteries at least once a month due to the LCD screen. It automatically turns on if you bump the remote, draining the batteries fast. Strike three. This is a $15 remote in a $70 package.

Controls Everything!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This remote takes a longer time to set up, but it is worth it. Just log your model numbers that you want to control, then plug it in and the controls will download right to the remote. The macro buttons (Watch TV, Listen to Music,...) are fantastic! I've always had a hard time with universal remotes because they never control all of the features for my receivers. This controls EVERYTHING! All options and it couldn't be simpler. I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 for two reasons. The first reason is because the response time is slow. It isn't has fast as the stock remote for when I am scrolling through the guide with my DirecTV box. I like to click through quickly, but it takes a little bit longer with this remote compared to the stock DirecTV remote. The second reason for the 4 stars is that for some of the buttons (channel up, down, volume up, down...) it makes an audible "click" when pressed. This is very annoying especially when you are scrolling through the guide looking for what's on tv. All in all, for the price, this is the best universal remote on the market. Logitech knows whats up with electronics. I'm betting their higher end models take care of the response time issues, so I will just have to save up a little more next time.
